“Le, leviathans!! Shoot at them with all your might!!”
Following my instructions, the three leviathans opened their big mouths and let loose beams resembling dragon breath.
The space shivered from the impact.
Because they unleashed their full power, their bodies immediately began to disintegrate, but I prevented that from happening by seriously supplying them with magic power.
The front side of the insect golem swarm was instantly destroyed by the full force of the beam – but without a moment’s pause, the hole was filled and repaired by those who emerged from behind and in front of it.They would be blown away, then immediately repaired, then blown away, then repaired again.
And it seemed that the number of them and the speed at which they filled the holes exceeded our attack power, and they were gradually closing in on us. It was really creepy.
“No, no, stop, don’t come this way!!”
My pets continued to chip away at the insect golem swarm with their own means, but…it didn’t stop.
I, too, wielded Enne and unleashed a [magic blade] while continuing to supply magic power, and finally, we were able to come to grips with each other.
By all of us attacking with all our strength, our ability to damage and their ability to repair become evenly matched.
“You’ve got some nerve, you bugs! I’ll let you know that you’re the ones who will die as if insecticide were poured on you. Disgusting!”The insect golems suddenly started spraying some kind of acid, which then converged together and blasted right at me like a beam.
The color was gross, and it looked a little sticky, and there was probably a terrible smell…very unpleasant. I saw the splattered liquid fall to the ground and dissolve what was hit.
That Acid Beam forced me to halt my attacks and the bugs started to push forward again.
“Oh crap, why do you guys have to be so precise in trying to traumatize people! Really!! Seriously!!”
It started with ants, then bees, maggots, and litter. And now these insect golems.
Why were these guys so disgusting?
Maybe it was because I didn’t like them in particular, but…no, anyone would scream if they were attacked by an insect or a bug of this size, even if it wasn’t me.
I was normal. If I had to say something, I would say that this world was weird.
Yes, this world was weird.
The distance between us gradually narrowed.
The amount of my remaining magic power was gradually approaching the danger zone, and I started to break out in a cold sweat because I was struggling more than I thought I would – but this time, on the contrary, the distance slowly widened.
The pressure weakened.
Before I knew it, the swarm had disappeared.
An equal number of massive remnants were left on the deformed earth.
“Fuu, fuu… oh, is it over?”
I looked around the area and checked the map, but no hostile reactions were present nearby.
Somehow, we managed to kill off that army, which would have been more than 10,000 strong for sure.
I probably didn’t fight them for very long…but my senses felt like I had been fighting them for much, much longer.
I really wish I could stop fighting these guys.
For now, I let out a sigh of relief when I saw that the bugs were gone right in front of me.
[The queen of those bugs still exists, and if you don’t destroy her, she will create more of the same.]
A voice echoed in my mind.
“Eh? …Se, Spirit King… !”
[It’s been a while, Oh Lord of Demons…]
There he was, in a familiar, floating robe.
–It was Yg-Drazil, the Spirit King.
