At the Airfield (3)

Apparently, the enemy’s attack had been terminated with the defeat of the fire giant.

I could no longer feel the mutation in the surrounding magic power, and judging that the situation was under control, I moved on to clean up the mess in cooperation with the Demon King Finar.

The overall damage was, as I expected, quite extensive.

As far as human casualties were concerned, they were far less than the scale of the explosions, thanks to the quick evacuation guidance, but even so, they were not zero.

Especially, the first of the two explosions…was aimed at people who were completely unaware of what was going on.

The explosions also destroyed the airship’s control tower and the building adjacent to it.

Well, the adjacent building was actually destroyed by my magic… but it was a measure taken to avoid human deaths, so I guess they would have to accept this as a necessary measure.

The airships that were in the vicinity, the one that the Demon King Finar came on board and the one that was left under maintenance, were both damaged, but the damage was within the scope of possible repairs, especially since engineers have already started repairing the Demon King Finar’s ship, and it was expected to be restored to a cruising condition in one week.

The one the Demon King Finar boarded was apparently not a civilian ship, but his own private vessel, so it seemed to have been given the highest priority.

I was thinking of returning the ship to the Demon Realm via my dimension door if the need arises, but it doesn’t look like I had to go that far to help.

The police and fire departments of this country showed up about 20 minutes after I blew up the monster to smithereens, and they have been extremely busy clearing away the debris and inspecting the scene.

They wanted to ask us a few questions, but frankly speaking, it was too much trouble to deal with them right now. Moreover, I also needed to consult the Demon King Finar on various matters first, so I asked them to postpone the questioning until later. Long live power.

“Hoo, I think we’ve sorted it out. Thanks for your help, Yuki. Thanks to your presence, the damage was considerably contained.” (Finar)

The Demon King Finar, perhaps having settled the situation, exhaled a sigh of relief.

“No, on the contrary, you may have gotten involved because of my presence.” (Yuki)

“If there’s a stupid idiot who blames Yuki-kun for that, I can persuade them with the help of my troops.” (Finar)

“Generally, that would be called a threat, and not persuasion.” (Yuki)

“Is that so? Well, I’ve never known about that before.” (Finar)

I let out a laugh at the Demon King Finar who shrugged his shoulders.

He was a very considerate guy.

“Well…you’ve gotten yourself involved in another troublesome incident. I didn’t expect them to terrorize us so firmly, but the bigger the scale, the more evidence there will be. For example–“

At that moment, someone of the demon race who seemed to be Finar’s subordinate came over to us and reported to him.

“Finar-sama. We have found the remains of the explosive device.”

“–Good timing. Yuki, let’s go take a look.”
