“Well, it doesn’t matter what he ends up becoming, right? There are rather few things in this house that are not peculiar.” (Lefi)
“Hahaha, indeed. There is no family in the world with as many oddities and as many different races as our family.” (Yuki)
“As someone who comes from a family of sheep horns and has learned a lot, I can assure you that there is no family like ours anywhere else in the world!” (Layla)
“Well, it’s not like our family’s a big family.” (Lefi)
“I’m sorry, Lefi. Are you trying to imply something?” (Yuki)“Yuki, you are a freak.” (Lefi)
This girl…! She said it so blatantly…
“Lefi, you know what I mean! You’re not a pregnant woman anymore! That means I don’t have to hold back anymore! I’ve been caring for you and treating you nicely, but from now on, you’re going to have to prepare yourself!” (Yuki)
“Oh! You think you can fight me! I don’t know what kind of tricks you’ve been up to, but I’m sure you know how this will end! Now that I have Sakuya, I am a true mother! And I don’t give a damn about your little tricks!” (Lefi)
“Fine! Then, I with the power of the one who became a father, or you with the power of the one who became a mother! Let us decide right here, right now, which is stronger!” (Yuki)
“Yes! I think it’s time to give my Husband a good scolding for his lack of understanding! Yuki, get ready!” (Lefi)
“It’s fine for both of you to get heated up, but if you do it too loudly, Riou and Sakuya will cry, so please do that somewhere else.” (Lyuu)“”Yes.””
“Well, Lyuu, you’ve grown strong, haven’t you?” (Lefi)
“Mothers are strong, right?” (Lyuu)
Nell and Layla were smiling nonchalantly.
Thus, another resident was added to our family.
Riou, Sakuya, and Setsu.
I would make sure that they grow up to be good siblings.
–The life of being a parent
“Whew… they’re both finally asleep.” (Yuki)
I said to myself as I watched my two children sleep soundly.
They had been crying energetically until a few minutes ago, but they must have been exhausted because they both fell asleep as if their batteries had been cut off.
The sound of one crying woke up the other, who then cried as well, and just when we thought they had finally stopped crying, one of them cried again, and the sound of their crying woke up the other one, who also cried.
The adults watched their adorable behavior and soothed them while laughing.
Sometimes they also looked at each other and seemed to be having some kind of conversation. No, of course, they were not actually talking, but there were times when they seemed to be aware of each other.
They may already be aware that they were siblings.
And it was interesting to note that their personalities have already started to differ.
Riou was always full of energy, expressing emotions through gestures, and laughing a lot.
Sakuya, on the other hand, was a bit more reserved and somehow seemed to be more calm than Riou, or seemed to watch everyone’s faces more closely.
Well, however, he was still a baby, so when he cried, he wagged his arms, legs, and tail energetically and with great enthusiasm.
Riou’s wiggling little ears were super cute, and Sakuya’s pudgy little cartilage-like horns were also similarly super cute.
Also, as Nell mentioned, Sakuya had a face like Lefi’s, so I guess he could be a future charmer for women. I envy him.
I’ll have to teach him about that, I guess.
Furthermore, I doubt I’ve experienced enough in life to be able to say such things…but as a parent, I’d like to teach him the important things in life.
“…haha.” (Yuki)
Finding myself thinking such a thing at this point, I couldn’t help but chuckle.
I see, I guess this was the kind of psychology that made parents want to say all kinds of things to their children.
And then the children rebel against their parents for being too annoying and grow up fighting with them. However, when they themselves would become parents one day, they would probably also say many things to their children.
Thinking of such a future brought up some funny feelings.
