Terran in Neorust (3)

Evil Android. It was a form created from three undead cores merging with countless zombies and mechanical parts scattered throughout the world.

“I’ve never seen anything like that…!”

“It’s because of those two. Damn, what should we do now?”

“Go deal with it yourself!” The residents of the street saw the evil android and began to drool. It was a little over 1 meter and 70 centimeters tall, with a fragile and milky white body with subtle femininity. It looked human on the outside, just like those two who had suddenly shown a few days ago.

“But isn’t that quite nice compared to the monsters that have appeared so far?”

“I love the positive mindset. Is it less painful to die to a pretty girl?”

“Wow, are you planning to run?”

“There are zombies still alive elsewhere!” The groaning and screams of several people flowed through the radios the residents had set to a common channel. The residents seemed to have accepted Kang Shin-hyuk and Claire, but they didn’t give them a radio. It was natural, as a few good cocktails weren’t enough to prove oneself as trustworthy.

“It seems to be going straight for them… will it be okay?” However, Mokoud watched the scene with an anxious expression. The female monster was now wearing a black catsuit it had made in an instant. It was easy to deduce that it wasn’t just latex, but some

weapon.

“That’s really dangerous.” Mokoud was weak, but he was confident in his ability to judge the strong. In his eyes, that monster was a real danger that had yet to appear in his life. Just like in the great war decades ago, it must’ve been the twisted power of the mother Gaia that could create such a monster. Otherwise, it would be impossible to have a body that was neither undead nor machine just like that.

[…]

“Hey, that monster’s hand.” While running, one of the monster’s arm suddenly morphed. What was reformed in its place was a muzzle, aimed right at Kang Shinhyuk and Claire…

-Kwaaaaang!

It fired off a shell of black energy.

-Vwoooooom

The roar vibrated the heavens and the earth. Everyone who saw it thought that Kang Shin-hyuk and Claire had vanished without a trace, but the next moment the dust cloud cleared to reveal the truth. For some reason, the monster that fired the shot was lying face down. The moment the shell was fired, Kang Shin-hyuk fired a bullet of light to intercept it and cause it to explode.

“What do you think?” Kang Shin-hyuk, who had been preparing to intercept the moment the evil android transformed its hand, looked back at Claire for approval. She gave him a thumbs-up with hesitation.

“Look at our MacGyver’s good eye.”

“Was that today’s best shot?”

“Go, Kang Shin-hyuk, I choose you!”

“Shin-hyuk, Shin-hyuk!” He jumped off the roof after his playful chat with Claire. The monster, sensing Kang Shin-hyuk’s sudden movement, stood up and fired off another shell. He avoided it easily, however.

“Ha!” When they got close enough to see each other’s eyes, Kang Shin-hyuk’s pistol fired off several times. However, the monster quickly learned and adapted as it threw itself to the side to avoid the bullets. Or it would have, had the bullets lacked the ability to pursue tainted beings. The bullet bent at a 90-degree angle to slam into the monster. The evil android was a highlevel monster, but Kang Shin-hyuk was a little stronger. Which meant it was difficult for it to withstand his attack power with its defense.

[…]

It let out a tormented crackling noise that sounded like a broken radio. Then, swinging its arm, it transformed into a long sharp sickle as it fell towards Kang Shinhyuk. The Godslayer in Shin-hyuk’s hand clashed with it head-on.

…. !?!!]

The moment the blades collided, the Terminator- no, the evil android reacted violently as it was beaten back. The reason was simple: the Godslayer had the ability [Sacred Sword], which was perfect for dealing with the undead.

“Will it be that easy?”

Kang Shin-hyuk lazily swung the sword against. The evil android tried to stop him by firing a metal nail-like object off at him, but the sword cleaved right through the android’s arm.

[–]

These days, Kang Shin-hyuk had been focusing on using his sword. It felt so natural in his hand. The evil android had nothing to combat it other than its highgrade physical ability. Whether or not it was connected to the power of the Gaia system, it displayed the optimal movement at each and every moment. The problem was that the optimum couldn’t follow the path that Kang Shin-hyuk drew.

“Break!”

Kang Shin-hyuk swung the Godslayer sword with one hand while firing his pistol with the other. Attacking an enemy with a gun and a sword at the same time was ridiculous as playing the piano while drawing. Rather, it could be downright suicidal, but his Golden Dragon Fighter made that nonsense possible. He used the blade and gun to guide his enemy’s movements, throwing them off balance.

Light magic flowed out of the sword and gun, tracing lines of light into the air.

[…!!]

The evil android retreated back with a stagger, deforming its body to fire off shots and try to split Kang Shin-hyuk’s body with a rotating serrated blade, but it was all blocked. It was an easy task to detect and block enemy attacks with his trait. Even skills of a higher rank than his Golden Dragon Fighter couldn’t fully escape its influence.

“Oh, right, he was in the Knight Department…” Claire, who was going to help, ended up watching from the sidelines. It was so easy to forget when he was so engaged in smithing, but he was indeed a superhuman in all aspects.

“You have it all, even me.” Honestly, she loved Kang Shin-hyuk’s side as a producer but seeing him fight like this thrilled her middle-schooler sensibilities.

“As expected, you’re amazing.” She continued to admire him as she recorded his activities, but something suddenly occurred to her.

“Get it alive!”

“Hey?!” Kang Shin-hyuk had been driving the evil android back but immediately let out a shout and reduced the energy in his sword. He kept tearing apart the evil android’s body, but it was attracting zombies and mechanical parts to it to regenerate, though the quality of its body was gradually deteriorating each time.

“I was going to tear it apart until I broke the core, but…” He easily smashed the evil androids sword (which was gradually morphing to resemble the Godslayer) and stabbed his sword through its stomach.

[-!!!)

“Okay, let’s do it.” Then he fired off several bullets with the power of light into its body to reduce its regeneration power to practically zero. A second later, Shin-hyuk stored the pistol in his inventory and spread his hands wide, ten strands of thread wrapping around the monster.

The evil android tried to turn its body into a blade to cut down the threads, but it was impossible for a blade without the power of the soul.

“What are you going to do by capturing it?”

-For analysis, of course.

The administrator responded calmly.

-This terminal… she’s trying to hack the Gaia system connected to the android.

“Is that possible?”

-It is for the members of the Hero Universe.

Somehow, the administrator who didn’t praise anyone other than Kang Shin-hyuk said such a thing. Confirming their intent, Shin-hyuk proceeded to weaken the evil android with his soul poison.

“The administrator doesn’t have a crush, right?”

-A 300,000HP bonus for your sense of comedic timing!

Only

“You’re doing it again.” At that moment, the evil android slumped over

[…]

It sounded like an out of tune radio making noise.

-The Gaia system was directly disconnected. Realizing it couldn’t win, it shut down.

“Aha.”

-The message just delivered through the evil android is I’ll be back.’

“Don’t lie.” Kang Shin-hyuk returned home, pulling the evil android behind him.

All the residents of the street watched him and pledged not to bother the bartender again.
