chapter-1542
"It doesn't seem like it." Grey took a step closer to the lady, "From what I can tell, you wanted to kill me with this."
"No… Ah!!!" The lady was about to speak as she screamed in pain, clutching her right arm.
Her entire right arm has disappeared from the shoulder. It was as if it didn't exist to begin with. Blood was gushing out from it, and no matter how hard she tried to stop the bleeding, it didn't work. She looked at Grey with fear in her eyes.
"I don't like being plotted against. Especially things like these that will put me in danger." Grey's voice was cold.
"Void, kill her."With Grey's statement, Void appeared and looked at the lady in her eyes.
"Hi."
"What are you doing?!"
"No!!"
"Please!!"
The lady screamed hysterically as Void appeared and attacked viciously. He didn't kill her with a single attack, he could, but he didn't want to. He saw what the lady tried to do and felt it was best to attack her in such a manner. The more she suffered, the better it felt to him.
"Next time you'll think about this before you try to plot against us." Klaus said calmly, "Oh, there won't be a next time."The lady continued screaming as Void ripped her apart. She tried to fight back, but she had already been paralyzed by fear from the start. She could tell she wasn't a match for Grey or Klaus, and Void who appeared out of thin air was even more dangerous than the duo.
Her puppets were ripped to shreds the second she took them out. They couldn't even hold Void back for a quarter of a second.
A few minutes later, the lady was dead, her corpse floating in the vast space. Void didn't only kill her, he tore her to shreds and opened a spatial tunnel, putting parts of her body into it and closing it before opening another and placing another body part.
"I would've liked to be the one to kill her." Klaus shook his head in disappointment.
"There'll be other people." Grey said, he looked at the round item that could be used to track any hideout before looking at Klaus, "If the top Factions know about this, how come they haven't used it to wipe out the hideouts?"
Grey didn't understand this.
"You think acquiring it is so simple?" Klaus asked, he explained, "The only reason we got this is because she believed we wouldn't kill her due to already swearing on the origin source."
"Not just that, but after seeing a ray of surviving, she felt it was fine to discard this. If she had left this place, she would've been able to actually deactivate it."
"Oh, I see. So it's like that." Grey understood the reason behind the Factions' lack of actions against the Necromancers.
"For some reason, you seem to be fated with these guys and the Gnomes." Klaus said.
"Let's go back to the sick lady." Grey said, "The Necromancers will most likely try to get her again."
"Yeah, we better make sure she doesn't fall under their hands." Klaus agreed with Grey.
The duo headed back to the building. When they got there, the lady and the young lady were gone.
"They left…" Klaus didn't expect this, he sensed around but couldn't sense the presence of anyone.
A few people had gathered around due to the explosion of the roof.
Klaus asked them if they saw the sick lady and the young lady leave. None of the people present saw them which meant they left as soon as Grey and Klaus went after the cloaked lady.
"I can track them." Grey entered the building, heading straight for the basement.
Klaus followed him.
"How?" He asked curiously.
"Remember I told you I attacked her the last time?" Grey asked, Klaus nodded.
"She was marked. Not the same type as the usual one, but she has some of my elemental aura. Given the uniqueness of my elements, I can sense it for a day or two when used on anyone." Grey explained.
He marked the young lady, but it was unintentional. He recently discovered this ability, and had been using it for a while now.
Grey and Klaus walked over, but they paused as they sensed the unstableness of the teleportation array.
"Impressive." Klaus was impressed by Grey's words.
Grey opened a door and an array appeared.
"A teleportation array."
Grey and Klaus walked over, but they paused as they sensed the unstableness of the teleportation array.
"Hehe, against anyone else, they'll need a few hours to fix this. But for me. It's easy." Grey chuckled.
Klaus knew Grey's abilities were unparalleled, especially with arrays, but his eyeballs nearly popped out when he heard Grey's next words.
"Bunny, I need your help."
The bunny leader appeared and looked at the place. A spatial tunnel appeared before them within a second.
Klaus didn't know if he should be impressed or disappointed with Grey's actions. He originally expected to see Grey work magic, but all he did was call the bunny leader who easily traced the destination of the teleportation array and created a portal to it.
"Let's go." Grey entered the place.
Klaus shook his head and accepted that Grey didn't have any more shame. He walked after him, entering the spatial tunnel before it disappeared.
….
In a hidden cave.
The sick lady and the young lady were resting.
"We don't have much time."
"You have to recover, mother." The young lady didn't want the sick lady, who was her mother, to continue moving.
"We destroyed the array, no one should be able to co…"
The young lady was in the middle of her statement when she paused. The reason for that was the appearance of a spatial tunnel.
Grey was the first to appear, and behind him was Klaus.
"How?" The young lady couldn't believe her eyes. She never thought anyone would be able to follow them so quickly. They expected Grey and Klaus to engage in a prolonged battle with the cloaked lady, but to their surprise, here they were.
"Hi again."
