Affinity:Chaos
chapter-1614

Grey left the Second Prince and met up with the Seventh Prince. Klaus and Reynolds left the Fourth and Fifth Prince and headed straight to meet with Grey and Alice.

When they arrived there, Grey told them of how the Second Prince was under his control.

….

In one of the rooms in the Seventh Prince's castle.

"Things are going smoother than expected." Klaus commented.

"It's all thanks to the absence of the top powerhouses, without them, we have the freedom to do almost anything we want." Grey said, he couldn't help but feel thankful to his father who was willing to help. Of course some humans would die in the clash with the Gnomes in the God's tomb, but the damage they were causing here wasn't light as well.

Grey was practically trying to change how the younger generation of the Gnome's lives would pan out. With him being the one controlling the leader, he has a few advantages over most of their decisions.

"What about the First Prince?" Alice asked, at the moment, the First Prince was the main obstacle, if they could take him out of the picture, then everything would be easier.

"Remember I have his Necromancer under my control, I've been using that guy to slowly poison the Prince. It isn't enough yet, but when I personally go there, I will be able to make sure I hasten it up and weaken him as much as I can." Grey explained his plan to them.

The others didn't see any issues with it.

"So the war will stop?" Reynolds asked, he was having a good time during the war. He even managed to find something good around the Fifth Prince's region, and since only the Fifth Prince was above him, he was able to take it for himself with no one questioning him. He has also found a few more treasures.

Unlike Reynolds who was heading out in search of treasures, Klaus was more unrestrained, he straight up went into the Fourth Prince's treasury and took the things he liked. Even the things that had been saved by the king of the Fourth Prince's kingdom were kept. No one dared to question Klaus, even though they all felt something was amiss, they didn't dare to voice their discontent with him. They tried to speak with the Fourth Prince, but he gave them the same reply, as long as they could defeat him, then they were free to stop him from doing anything.

Alice was the only one who didn't seem to be having any fun after her assassination mission.

"There's no point letting it continue, besides, I need to occasionally lessen the period I have them under my control." Grey didn't want to continue overworking himself. He already has plans and ways to temper with the memories of the Princes, as long as they have no recollection of the war, while also ensuring their subordinates didn't speak about it, he was fine with it.

The others didn't ask any more questions, they didn't know how difficult it is to keep the Princes under his control at all times, so they couldn't tell him to continue with it.

"When are we heading to the Capital?" Alice asked after a short moment of silence.

"Today or tomorrow, the sooner the better. The First Prince is already there, so I need to interact with him more. We still don't know how long my father will be able to keep the Gnomes in the God's tomb, so the sooner we achieve our objectives, the better." Grey took a look at the people in the room, they were all putting their lives in danger, but compared to what his father was doing, this was not as dangerous, however, this was more important.

The God's tomb is a farce, it never existed, the plan was to lure out the top experts from the Gnome world to ensure the lives of Grey and his friends would not be in any serious danger as long as they were careful.

The group were more than halfway through their plans. Most of the Sovereigns they've come in contact with, they've ensured they left something in them, so they could kill them in a short time. Even the Second Prince was not left out, and so was the First Prince. Once they get to the Capital, Grey's next plan was to visit all the top families in the Gnome world and take care of their experts.

The others didn't have any issues with this, as long as they could put the First Prince under their control, they were good.

….

The next day.

The group started their journey back to the Capital. When they first came to the Gnome world, they first went to the Capital, now, they were about to head back to the Capital once again, and with this trip, they should be able to deal with the First Prince, putting everything in place.

The trip to the Capital was faster than when they left the last time. In the space of only a few days, Grey and his friends had changed almost everything in the Gnome world, and no one has any idea that they were the cause, they only felt it was all an outcome of the Emperor leaving for the God's tomb, without the Emperor to keep everyone under control, some people started making their moves.

At first it was just the issues of the Princes clashing, but now, two Princes were assassinated within a short time, so the people could sense that there was something else working in the shadows. The question in everyone's head at the moment was who is the one who ordered the killing of the Princes, and with most of the top experts not around, only someone in the Late stages of the Sovereign Plane would dare to do something like this since most of the Late stages and higher cultivation stage Sovereign Plane Gnomes were in the God's tomb.
