Fortunately, the wind had carried the powder down the hill, Yuan Zhan wasn’t unlucky enough to breathe it in.

He gave a deep look at his Priest-daren, turned around and started going down and killing the creatures in his path.

The creatures were not as many now, when Yuan Zhan reached the bottom of the valley, the A’wu clan elder met him in the middle while killing the creatures on his own side.

“Wau wua…”

Yuan Zhan didn’t understand what the built man was saying, but he took the time to fist his right hand and beat it to his heart’s side once.

The A’wu head instinctively returned the greeting with the same movement.

Yuan Zhan pointed to the southwest with a sharpened wooden stick, “there, their leader, kill!”

The A’wu land head didn’t understand his words, but he could see what he meant, he immediately waved his hand, yelled to his people who still had some energy, and followed Yuan Zhan to attack the tall grasses on the southwest side.

Twenty A’wu clansmen attacked the southwest area under the lead of their clan elder.

“Jiik—!” There were sharp noises again.

The creatures who heard the sharp cry started to withdraw to the southwest side, as if wanting to protect their leader.

Sometimes fighting is not only depending on strength, but can be heavily swayed by the momentum.

The leader of the little creatures saw one move from one of the enemies on the hill defeated all of his clansmen and got scared. He’s not scared of close range attacks and combats right in front of him, but these sorts of powers that he couldn’t understand make him scared. He even didn’t dare to send his underlings to the hill again, and was planning to retreat with just the prey that they’ve killed.

Too bad that that tall enemy that can make earth walls took the enemies that were their prey and charged over, while that scary person that stood behind the wall has started to move out too.

The leader thought that that scary person wanted to come and attack him too, so he immediately gave the order to escape and hurried off without even the time to snatch some of their hunted meat.

What they thought was a big harvest turned out to be a complete failure.

Yuan Zhan picked a stone pick and hurled it like his earthen shards, and bore a hole out of the back of the leader’s head. Then, the majority of the little creatures were surrounded and mobbed by the furious A’wu people. Only a few handful of them managed to run away.

Yan Mo walked down from the hill with the earth wall, for one, he saw that the A’wu settlement below was safe now, and two, because he didn’t know what he should do with the creatures he had knocked down.

In his mind he wanted to kill those monsters to get rid of future possible troubles, but he couldn’t do anything.

Based on the guide’s rules of adding and reducing points, although he had sweeped off all of his enemies with poison, but because those monsters attacked him first, he wouldn’t get more scum points no matter how many monsters he knocked out, not even if all of them died.

But if he makes another move to really kill off those monsters after they’ve lost the ability to fight back, then the guide will 100% be adding the most scum points it can add on his head under the name of Indiscriminate Killing.

Although this was just his guess and not something that had happened, he didn’t want to risk it at all.

He left the hill and wall, the A’wu people will take care of those monsters over there eventually, he just had to act that he didn’t know anything.

The A’wu clan elder told his people to clean up the rest of the injured monsters, while also telling some people to go look for their dead members and carry them back to the tribe. He himself walked over to Yuan Zhan and thanked him.

Yuan Zhan nodded to him and turned around to face Yan Mo who was coming down the high ground at his own pace.

Yan Mo walked that slowly because he couldn’t wait to check the update on his scum points. He had just seen his right hand light up and estimated it might be reduced to 1000 points now, thinking that his surgery tools are finally back, he felt a rush of elation.

So when Yuan Zhan saw Yan Mo, his eyes were spilling with happiness. Yuan Zhan thought that the boy was happy after completely destroying so many enemies, and rubbed his head as a reward.

Yan Mo glared at him. What time is it? Actually rubbed my head! What about my dignity as the Great Priest?

Yuan Zhan couldn’t help rubbing his head again, just by having that bit of skill to defeat all those monsters, you think i’ll be scared of you now?

Ticked off Yan Mo knocked his head against him.

Some of the A’wu clansmen walked around Yan Mo and Yuan Zhan and ran to the hill the two were standing on, they were curious what had happened there, and especially the earth wall that wasn’t there before. They saw the two people rubbing heads and knocking on their heads, and thought that was a special way of communicating in those two’s clan.

The A’wu clan elder came up to them again, uneasily and very gratefully saying, “Thank you both for saving us. we will share with you half of all the dead enemies.”

Hearing the clan elder’s words, Yan Mo didn’t feel any happiness, giving them so many of those monsters for what? To eat? Just a few of them would be enough for him to dissect.

Those monsters might be equal to a large quantity of meat in the A’wu people’s eyes. Yan Mo noticed by looking at the mixed expression on their faces, they are very sad by the big casualties in their clan, but also happy that they had a big haul this time. So many monsters, if they salt the meat, they wouldn’t have to worry about this entire winter anymore.

An old man walked over with a few A’wu people surrounding him.

“Thank you both for saving my people, where do you come from?” A’wu clan Shaman’s face looked thankful, but his words were a bit stiff.

Yan Mo didn’t think it was weird, from his time talking with the little kid A’wu, he discovered that the A’wu language didn’t have many words, words like guest, noble comer, repaying favour, probably didn’t exist in their vocabulary.

He only slightly nodded to the old man, then turned to Yuan Zhan, “I’ll help treat them.”

Yuan Zhan frowned but didn’t stop him. Seeing that Yan Mo moved away, he also didn’t look at the clan elder and Shaman but followed behind Yan Mo to be his guard.

A’wu clan elder and Shaman were confused on their spot, they didn’t know what the two bald men wanted to do.

When they saw that the bald youth was crouching beside their injured clan member, the clan Shaman looked startled, and the people around him were asking with fear, “what are they doing?”

The clan elder ran up to them and the old man followed right behind him.

The injured A’wu clansman was about to die, some of his clansmen wanted to carry him to the injured tent, but he shook his head, he told everyone to leave him like this. He thought to himself, he definitely wouldn’t be able to stay alive, he even seemed to see a… bald-headed young boy he had never seen before.

Yan Mo looked at this wounded man with a hole in his right chest from the stone pick and felt that the matter was quite difficult.

But fortunately the stone pick that bore the hole was rather small, the wound area wasn’t that big. But the injury on this person might have gotten to the lungs, there’s a sound of air in the space between lungs when he breathes, he seemed to be having a problem breathing.

Lungs can actually heal by itself pretty well. It can easily handle a sharp trauma, the normal lung tissues will quickly stop bleeding or leaking air on its own even after getting punctured. In comparison, the blunt trauma, or more popularly known as internal injury, due to having a larger area of injury and secondary reaction to the injury, if it’s not handled well, then it might be life-threatening.

Yan Mo held this man’s wrist, examining his pulse while observing all of his outward characteristics.

The injured man didn’t bleed much, just the leaking air in his lungs was rather serious. Normally Yan Mo should be opening up his chest and take a good look at it, stitch up the punctured bronchi and blood vessels, then suture the hole in the lung tissue. If it’s needed, he might need to perform lung resection on the severely injured tissue that couldn’t be sutured together. But all of that is much easier to talk about, if he wants to do a successful thoracotomy, that’s nearly impossible, unless he didn’t care about the man’s life and death.

If the surgery wasn’t handled well, the A’wu people might even doubt what sort of weird purposes he had, since he would need to actually cut open the man’s body. For an uncivilised society man, wouldn’t that look just like him killing the patient?

But as a doctor, he was used to talking about the scary things before talking about lighter things. Doctors usually won’t give up on treating people, unless they absolutely have no way to treat them.

This case was indeed hard to treat, but telling him to give up on this patient and go treat the easy cases instead was an insult to his medicinal skills.

But judging from the size of the stone pick wound, this might be able to be treated without surgery. It’s possible to just suture the wound from the opening.

The people who had run up to the high ground had returned to the tribe, those A’wu people looked at Yuan Zhan and Yan Mo full of reverence. One of them ran up to their clan elder and told him what they saw on the hill with animated gestures.

When he heard that there were many more collapsed monsters on the hill, A’wu clan elder quickly told them to kill all the monsters that are still alive, while looking at Yuan Zhan and Yan Mo with a very reverent eyes likes his other clan members, to the point that he didn’t dare get closer.

Yan Mo turned around and waved towards the clan elder, A’wu clan elder walked closer with a bit of nervousness and confusion, then crouched in front of the boy.

Yan Mo extended his hand, and made a slight smile to him.

The young boy’s honest and kind appearance was a big comfort to the A’wu clan elder, he also smiled back at the boy.

So, when Yan Mo put his hand lightly on his forehead, he didn’t fight Yan Mo.

Yan Mo started to talk, “We came from Jiu… Yuan tribe. Mountain god human-faced-bird Jiu Feng is the Protector God of our tribe. I am the priest of mountain god Jiu Feng, mountain god Jiu Feng saw your clan in danger and sent me and the blood of Earth God, warrior Yuan Zhan, to rescue you. ”

A’wu clan elder’s eyes bulged out. He clearly didn’t know the word the youth was saying, but his brain understood it!

Priest! Human faced-bird Mountain God’s Priest-daren! Oh my god! God really didn’t abandon them! A’wu clan elder was so agitated that he was close to crying.

Facing this muscular man with reddened eyes, the corner of Yan Mo’s lips twitched a bit then continued to spin his mystical story. “You are the people recognised by the mountain god Jiu Feng, and my people as well. I will not give up on you, a lot of the injured people can still be saved, I need your help to save these members, please follow my instructions and help me.”

“Yes! Priest-daren!” A’wu clan elder’s tears fell down. He had an odd feeling that after this day, the A’wu clan would be completely different.

Because they were the people accepted by God! The god’s priest also treated them like his own clan! In the future, their A’wu clan might always have enough food!

After listening to all of Yan Mo’s instructions, the clan elder leapt up and roared wildly.

All of the A’wu people looked at him, and especially the old Shaman who was afraid that their clan elder was harmed by the stranger.

Yuan Zhan looked at the youth deeply. This guy definitely had a lot of stuff he kept from him, like this ability where he could make the other person understand his words by putting his hand on their head — as expected of the priest of the Ancestor God, Yan Mo was stronger than any other priests and shamans that he ever knew.

“God didn’t abandon us! God had sent his Priest-daren and the warrior of the earth god to help us! We weren’t abandoned by God!” A’wu clan elder raised his fists and cheered, he wanted to express his joy and excitement to all of his people, let them all know that they were the people of god, recognised by god.

The A’wu clan at first was astonished, but their clan elder kept shouting these things, and quickly a lot of them also let out excited and happy shouts.

They were surrounded by injured and dead clan members, a lot of them were groaning from pain, but the A’wu people felt hope. even the faces of the injured people showed a desire to live and indescribable pride.

The old man didn’t shout with them. He kept looking at the youth and walked slowly to his side.

“you are the priest of god?” The old man was skeptical.

Yan Mo also knew that his current appearance didn’t strike awe in others, but he can make it up with his temperament.

“Yes, you are the Shaman of this clan? I need your help.” the youth made a slight smile and gently said.

The old man didn’t understand him, and Yan Mo was looking for this exact effect. He stretched out his hand to the old man again, like he did to the clan elder before.

The old man hesitated.

After three seconds, Yan Mo let down his hand and stood up. He followed the A’wu people who were moving their injured members into the biggest tent in the settlement. He was going to freeze any time now! It’s so hard to suppress his body from trembling.

The old man gaped in place. Priest-daren gave up on him? B, but…
