Chapter 1493: What Gregory Said Was Right, He Will Return

As usual, the Beast Deity was welcoming her with smiles from above. Gu Mengmeng felt fatigued physically and mentally, and forced a smile, then she leaned into the Beast Deity’s arms and called out softly, “Daddy, I’m back.”

“Aiyo my little angel, you’re so great, you even have wings now.” The Beast Deity teased.

Gu Mengmeng’s eyes were dry. She wanted to cry but she could not, which might be because she had cried out all her tears when she was on Motou Mountains. She felt a tingling sensation in her nose and her eyes felt pained.

“You obviously knew what I had been through on Motou Mountains, yet why are you still saying these to make me feel hurt? Now I seriously doubt whether you are my biological father…”

The Beast Deity laughed sheepishly, seemingly not taking her words to heart. He held her by the shoulders and led her to sit on a two seater bench.

He laughed, “Look at this place, is there any difference?”

Gu Mengmeng looked around. The patch of green fungus that was originally only two square meters had already covered such vast amount of area that it was boundless. Besides the time when she came, she no longer saw any white fog. Gu Mengmeng thought to herself, the construction of this dream realm is almost completed. So long as she obtain the Spirit of the Rocky Cliffs, the doors of time and space would open and this place would be complete by then.

Besides the increase in floor area, Gu Mengmeng could not tell any other difference.

The Beast Deity also did not seem disappointed as he pointed at the grass patch nearby and said, “Look closely there.”

Gu Mengmeng’s gaze landed on the grass patch. After staring at it for some time, besides the slight swaying, there was really nothing extraordinary about the grass.

Wait a minute…

The grass was moving… because… of the wind…

The feather on her ears swayed gently and Gu Mengmeng’s pupils dilated.

She looked at the Beast Deity with her mouth wide open and with a surprised and shocked face. She did not dare to simpy say the answer she had in mind, afraid that she had overthinked and would eventually be disappointed again.

As though sensing what she was thinking, the Beast World smiled lovingly and nodded his head, saying, “What he said to you is true. His wings are the new Love of the Sky and the wind from the Beast World come from there. He had even followed you here just so to tell you…”

The Beast Deity intentionally paused and did not finish his sentence. He gave Gu Mengmeng an encouraging look, giving her the hint to continue.

“He is telling me that he still loves me, he misses me and he is protecting me…”

The Beast Deity nodded and said, “It is only a temporary separation. When you gather the seven treasures and revive that person, Gregory would return again, so don’t be upset. He is only fulfilling his duty as Motou Mountains leader and protecting the place.”

Gu Mengmeng covered her face and finally burst into tears.

After she came round, she did not dare to cry because Gregory told her that he would be feel happy if she was smiling, so she had always been smiling despite how down she was feeling.

She forced herself to believe that ridiculous legend, otherwise she might break down.

But the Beast Deity cannot lie, right?

He said that what Gregory said was true and he would return…

The Beast World gently patted Gu Mengmeng’s shoulders to allow her to vent her emotions. After she was tired of crying, he then consoled her, “It’s cruel and painful to have his wings broken and becoming blind but everything he had sacrificed would be worth it. You saw the good in him and after he returns, you will give him a chance, isn’t it? For such a chance, many male beasts would be willing to risk their lives, so don’t cry, my darling. It’s rare that you are back to visit your father, don’t make my heartache, behave.”
