None of the other pets, when paired up, had chemistry as good as that between Lin Yousu’s dog and Fu Sichen’s cat.

Having been taught a lesson by Pei Zhen, the Husky now idolized him. When it came to following the scent of treats for the clues, there was no confusion at all.

Very quickly, they found the written clues under a lychee tree.

Earlier on, the show director had explained that they hid the task slips in boxes.

The variety show crew was kind. To make the game easier, they sprinkled a layer of fine ash over the boxes before burying them.

The layer of ash was a distinctive color compared to the earth, so any observant person would be able to tell right away.

“Oh! Found it!” Lin Yousu shouted happily, hugging her Husky and praising him for his intelligence.

Would the next step be up to the cat?

Digging a hole would be such a dirty job. Lin Yousu didn’t want to be spending the night with a dirty Husky.

She started to say something but was stopped by what happened next. Fu Sichen hadn’t even reacted to the finding when the Persian cat gave a soft meow. Then all at once, as if possessed, the Husky started to dig with all his might.

What on earth!!! Lin Yousu was furious.

Fu Sichen, who was standing by the side carrying his Persian cat, said casually, “Your dog is quite greedy.”

As mentioned earlier, the papers carrying the written clues had the smell of treats smeared on them. The Persian cat was as still as could be, whereas the young Husky was all worked up.

Lin Yousu was livid beyond words.

Somehow it all backfired, and not only that, Fu Sichen sounded logical. It made Lin Yousu feel so wronged that she almost had a heart attack.

Of course, that was just the beginning.

Their task required them and their pets to find a means to retrieve the little banner from the opposite shore across the river.

The little banner was on a tree, and the difficulty level of the task was quite high. They would have to rely on their pets’ capability to retrieve the banner.

Although it was considered a small river, it was quite wide and without a boat or bridge. The camera crew deployed a small boat.

So what now?

The other groups gritted their teeth and went into the water, getting themselves wet. Fu Sichen’s team, on the other hand, was quite relaxed. The owners didn’t have to get into the water. The Husky got into the water with the cat on his back.

The perfect collaboration impressed the audience. The white Persian cat was like a boss sitting on the Husky’s head; and the Husky was powering ahead at full force, as though it would win him a military award.

“What the hell! Is this real!”

“Best Actress Lu—can we collaborate this way too. Let your cat ride on my dog.”

“The point is that they are willing parties!”

But, they were willing… not!

When the various teams of celebrities were in the midst of discussion, their pets also started to make endless noises.

“Oh! Now you even want to ride on my head, you scheming thing!”

“Bleh! Who wants to ride on you. What unhealthy thoughts are you thinking!”

“Rubbish! Why are my thoughts unhealthy? Ride just means ride!”

Endless arguments that had no outcome—Big Brother Parrot perched on his owner’s head and started to chide, “Beyond stupid.”

Without question, at the end of the variety show, Fu Sichen and Lin Yousu’s team came in first.

“Indeed, it’s Best Actor Fu!” The director had heard rumors earlier about the Persian cat. “It’s not bad to have a cat. Can you share with us tips on how to bring up a cat.”

Fu Sichen smiled mildly. “First, find the cat a dad.”
