Divine Emperor of Death

chapter-2578-30041322
The ice wall blasted into many reflective shards as the ray of lunar light struck but halfway through, Black Tyriel saw that his move was actually blocked as his offensive was stopped. The ice wall had blocked his Lunar Ray Sword which uses his beak as its sharp blade. The edge was deadly as a sword's tip, capable of carving up hard flesh in an instant yet its point impact was negated.
He felt a bit of disbelief that Kayla blocked him but he quickly attributed it to the icy lake below them.
"Ha! Not bad…"
Black Tyriel's golden eyes flashed as he appeared to become a bit more serious. His Emperor-Tier aura began to flail as it spread out from his body, crashing down on Kayla which caused her to narrow her brows. Her icy blue face turned pale. However, her silver hair hovered and silverish icy energy fluctuated around her body before turning into a crystal armor.
It helped her stay afloat before she gathered ice energy from her surroundings, further imbuing it with her own energy to create silver lances."As expected of a Heaven-Tier Spirit, you're strong and able to make better use of the environment to your advantage."
Black Tyriel grinned with his crow face but Kayla said nothing. Her expression remained indifferent as she unleashed a wave of icy lances.
*Whooz!~*
The sound of air being torn apart could be heard. Such was the density of those ice lances, extremely hard yet light like liquid. They flew across the icy wall like javelins and tried to stab Black Tyriel's giant crow body.
Instantly, he became smaller and flapped his wings as he moved left and right, dodging those terrifying lances with ease.
"But that's all there is to it. You're weaker than me, Silver Rain Ice Spirit."
Black Tyriel sneered, causing Kayla's brows to finally twitch"Ridiculous. I've never seen an obedient Emperor-Tier Immortal Beast like you."
"Ahaha. What do you know about me? The only person I've admired and owe my life to is my Rea. Words can't describe how I'm grateful to her but that's why she is mine. She is my future wife and will be my Lunar Crow Clan's sole Empress. I will even sacrifice my right to have my clan's women if I could be with her."
Black Tyriel ostentatiously declared. His face also frowned as he appeared to be offended by those words. Indeed, the next moment, blackish-white energy began to gather around him and turned into thousands of feathers.
Each of those feathers appeared either white or black in color, painting the scenery in a monochrome. Those feathers scattered everywhere, seemingly glittering with moonlight as they shined. This shine was lustrous and brilliant yet had the hearts of everyone who viewed felt like it was going to leap out.
"Lunar Crow's Moonlight End."
Abruptly, along with his chilling voice, the feathers began shining more brightly before they engulfed the entire space Kayla was in.
No sound could be heard but as that terrifying dark-white light began fading away, neither the ice wall or the ice lances that spun around to target him remained. Even the icy lake that seemed be still and calm had its surface scraped as there were many imprints of feathers on it.
However, Kayla was nowhere to be seen.
It was like she was thoroughly disintegrated as there was no sign of her.
But still, Black Tyriel kept his regal gaze concentrated on the icy lake below him. The next moment, a gaseous form escaped out of the icy viscous lake and transformed into Kayla. However, she appeared completely pale and out of breath.
She even spat out a mouthful of blood two-three times before she raised her head to look at Black Tyriel.
"You… you almost killed me…"
Kayla looked somewhat terrified as her pupils kept dilating in Black Tyriel's presence. She thought she would be a match for him as they should more or less possess the same prowess after she became empowered by this region which fueled her prowess more but to think that he had more power hidden under his wings.
She felt like this one move reached almost eight levels higher! Otherwise, she couldn't understand how it would've possibly bested her as their prowess was at Level Three Immortal King realm but Black Tyriel's attack supposedly reached the peak of Level Three Immortal King realm at that moment, becoming something far more powerful than she could withstand!
"Black, you went too far, using your emperor-tier species technique like that…"
Rea Tyriel appeared beside Black Tyriel's giant face, reaching out her hand to caress his feathered head and even his golden crown with her palm. However, Black Tyriel harrumphed.
"It is her fault for being impetuous enough to question my regality just because I act affectionate towards you. You liked me when I was foolish, so I'm merely abiding by your wishes."
"There's no need for you act all clumsy if you feel that it is humiliating to you."
"But I like to see you always smile."
"…" Rea Tyriel became stunned before she shook her head.
"Stupid crow… limiting oneself to cater to the needs of others is really not the way of an emperor. At this rate, you would lose your bloodline just by having such a psychological deficiency."
"Ah! Really?" Black Tyriel appeared flabbergasted before his big eyes gazed at her, "Then I should seriously think of the prospect of having other women along with you as well."
"You think you can have me while having other women? Courting death."
"…"
'This couple is wild…'
Davis pursed his lips as he shook his head at them before turning to look at Natalya and Tanya who were on the edge of the three hundred meter wide lake. They were relatively away at a distance from the battle and with Nadia hanging on one of their shoulders in an invisible manner without them even knowing, he wasn't worried about them.
However, he couldn't help but smile as he looked at their sneaky actions.
They knew they could not possibly battle with these monsters toe to toe even at an equal level, so they went covert like he would and started plundering the root of the Mercurial Metal Ice Pearl. Their bare feet that was on the icy lake was interconnected with their spirits who entered the lake.
Iesha and Pia dived deep into the dense and viscous lake. Although their speed was low, with Natalya and Tanya there to pull them back, they bravely advanced down the lake.
But at this moment, what Davis expected happened.
"Oh? Are you two perhaps trying to pull wool over our eyes and take the treasures for yourselves?"
Natalya and Tanya slightly stiffened at the presence of an person behind them, someone who knew that there was a root present to this treasure. Their act of standing at the edge of the lake harmlessly didn't work anymore, causing them to make a move.
