Divine Emperor of Death

chapter-2652-30041322
"Husband!"
Tanya quickly noticed him a few seconds after he arrived from the spatial vortex as she didn't expect her to be that fast, becoming overjoyed. She gave a quick glance at him before returning her gaze to the huge Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend.
Her eyes flickered with rage that had been satisfied when suddenly her Level One Immortal King Stage cultivation base flared, throttling with immense iciness and dreadful sharpness that submerged the icy world in her wrath. She held an icy-silver sword in her hand and brushed her two fingers over it until she reached its sharp edge.
At this moment, everyone couldn't help but shudder. Due to the wide gap in their cultivation base, they couldn't see exactly what kind of prowess she had reached but could guess that her prowess reached the late stage.
Their teeth clattered, causing them to be full of disbelief as that was a prowess similar to what the top five possessed!*Puchi!~*
A flash of icy light rushed past the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend's head, leaving behind a headless and limbless carcass. However, blood didn't pour out this time as its wounds were all sealed in ice but still, many people could tell that its aura was receding, meaning that it was dead.
Tanya had her hand reached out, the icy-silver sword reaching out to point at the dead Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend. She lowered her sword slowly, confirming its true death with her senses before her figure flashed.
She instantly disappeared before everyone's gaze, and when she reappeared, she was standing before the Emperor of Death, to everyone's shock.
Davis stared at his Tanya with wide eyes, scanning her countenance and aura with the utmost curiosity.
"Tanya, I can't believe you are our family's first Immortal King."
"What are you saying?" Tanya's cheeks reddened as her voice became meek, "It's just that I spent three months training and cultivating in the inheritance space that I was quickly able to reach this stage.""Three months..." Davis became taken aback before realizing that since Frostcloud Sword Empress came from the Aurora Cloud Gate and wasn't bound by any contract, she could do as she pleased and included a time-speeding formation.
"Good!"
However, he was still overjoyed as he spread his hands, causing Tanya's gaze to flicker as she threw herself at him.
The both of them tightly hugged, causing Tanya to smile brightly, "Sorry, I was late. I missed you."
Davis couldn't help but chuckle, "Well, it was just a few hours for me, so I didn't miss you a lot as you did, but I am grateful to you for taking care of the mess we left. You also protected everyone, didn't you?"
He whispered in her ears softly as he brushed her soft, silky hair with fondness. The feeling of having an Immortal Queen in his arms was something he couldn't place his finger upon, but she felt like the most precious thing he had in this world right now.
Just her wonderful aura was like a burst of freshness despite the icy chill she radiated, giving him tingles all over his body.
"All with a single sword~" Tanya giggled as she lifted up a sword with both hands.
"Let me see."
Davis's brows lifted again as he saw this work of art. The icy-silver sword in his grasp possessed a silver hilt, but its blade was completely made of ice. Its shape was extremely refined and intricate, as though crafted with love. Moreover, the icy blade had beautiful and artistic words etched onto it.
[To my personal disciple, may this sword light your path with fondness]
Davis was taken aback by these words, but on second thought, he could tell that it was what the Frostcloud Sword Empress truly embodied. However, he couldn't tell what kind of ice crystal it was, but he could tell that its durability had very well reached the Immortal Emperor Stage!
"Is it sealed?"
Tanya excitedly gave a nod, "It is sealed as it is the sword used by master."
"She left her sword?"
"No, this is a sword that master forged and poured her comprehensions into it. Although the sword itself is millions of years old, it has yet to produce an armament spirit. However, its seed is already in place. One of my missions is to awaken its spirit and allow it to comprehend Imposing Sword Laws."
"Great." Davis couldn't help but smile brightly.
It was full of good things for Tanya.
"Where is your master?" He couldn't help but ask, wanting to thank her.
However, Tanya's expression faded, "She-"
"The problem still isn't over yet." Abruptly, Myria interrupted as she walked towards them.
She had already stepped out of the spatial vortex along with Stella Voidfield but seeing their reunion, she didn't say anything before noticing the unresolved risk.
"The Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend has been killed, but the source of this calamity, the impure Ice Essence Orbs, still haven't been defused yet, and the vent became bigger, causing icy storms to flow everywhere within the edges. I'm afraid that we can't do anything about it anymore."
Her voice resounded with coldness, causing many hearts to churn with a sense of anxiousness. Indeed, the edges of the vent were already covered in a wall of extreme wind where icy-green blades rushed above, appearing to surge above the surface.
Before, these blades weren't much threatening and could somewhat be defended against for a few seconds, but now, they had more space to maneuver, and the high pressure caused them to become even more powerful. They were actually at the Late Immortal King Stage, from what they could guess.
Then, wasn't this place going to explode along with the entire region sooner or later?
Everyone couldn't help but shudder when that same ice-cold voice resounded again.
"Unless you risk your life to halt the icy storms from wreaking havoc for a whole minute or two."
Myria turned to look at Tanya as she stared at her, causing the latter to blink.
"Absolutely not! There must be another way."
Davis rejected Myria's proposal, causing the latter to curl her lips at him. Even if his woman was an Immortal King who was stronger than him at the moment, he was still trying to protect her.
Just how protective was he? However, she agreed with him that this plan was too dangerous, causing her to think again.
Tanya didn't say anything. Although she wanted to go and prove herself more to him and even get the contribution points for him in order to make him happy, she was afraid that he would think that she was stepping out of line just because she had become stronger.
Since he had said absolutely not, she knew that even asking for permission was out of the question. However, she also knew that lasting for a minute in that windy zone wasn't possible. Even if she could survive, she would probably be thrown to the surface from the sheer force of the wind.
Nonetheless, it was only a few seconds before Myria's eyes flickered as she turned to look at a purple-robed woman.
"Come with me."
"Me?" Stella Voidfield pointed at her face, cutely blinking her fairy-like eyes.
"Yes. Don't worry. You'll get a proper share of the mission reward."
"Yay!~ I get to gain those magical contribution points mother told me to collect."
Stella Voidfield gleefully replied, shooting her tongue at Davis as though telling him although she was late, she was still going to bag the reward, leaving him speechless.
Nonetheless, looking at the giant icy cyclone that swirled above and the sealed heart of the Unfettered Behemoth Ice Fiend in the distance that showed no response, only gleaming with a weak aura, he still had a bad feeling about this as he followed them with Tanya by his side.
As for the other true disciples, they could only watch this group of monsters seemingly tackle the situation with high intelligence and overwhelming power, a sense of defeat and awe overwhelming their hearts.
