Divine Emperor of Death
chapter-3075

"Let's go."

After having released the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm's disciples and exchanging the treasure lists from the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm's disciples, Davis, and the others left, leaving behind the two factions looking at their departure before they turned to face each other.

"What's going on? Who are they? I've never heard of them before."

Cassia Auraflame demanded, causing Morro to heave a reluctant sigh before he explained to them their origins, which he speculated.

When they heard Davis's title and the place he was from, they were shocked, unable to believe he was from such a place.

"Then… then does he know about the legend of Flamerose and Frostrose…? The two of their births presented a significant twist to the fate of our Fire Phoenix Lower Realm, yet they sacrificed themselves for our Auraflame Clan."

Cassia Auraflame uttered, her eyes tearing up, but the other members of the Auraflame Clan appeared clueless, wondering what this legend was about. They never knew of such a thing, but Lysan Auraflame's expression was solemn.

The King-Tier existences within the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm attended special classes, so they knew their history better than the others.

He turned to look in Davis's direction again, wondering if he should follow them, but seeing that there was only an Emperor-Tier Burning Phoenix and not a Fire Phoenix, he decided against it, thinking that he wouldn't happen to know the twin legends of their clan.

*Rippp!~*

A crimson arc of blood splashed through the air, leaving a huge gash behind on a Feral Beast.

It was a lizard, a giant one that was two hundred meters long.

Its undulations were at the Early Stage Immortal Emperor Realm and radiated a sticky aura, appearing to be a type of water-attributed beast.

However, its head was split apart, and its beast core was taken out. It hovered above the tip of the curved blade of a pitch-black scythe and moving closer to the jade-white rod, a hand held it with a strong grip, lowering his hand while the scythe's blade appeared like a dark crescent moon hovering behind his back.

*Roar!*

These monstrous creatures, easily a hundred times his size or more, snarled and roared, hungering for his flesh. Unfazed by the overwhelming numbers, Davis tightened his grip on the wickedly curved scythe, his heart remaining at ease as he jumped into the fray.

As the second beast lunged at him with jaws wide open, Davis's instincts took over. With lightning speed, he dodged the creature's snapping maw and swung his scythe upward in an arc. The gleaming black blade caught the beast across its neck, slicing through flesh and bone. A spray of dark blood painted the air as the creature's head was severed from its massive body.

The lifeless head crashed to the ground, eyes still filled with fury.

Another giant beast attempted to crush Davis with its powerful forelimbs. Leaping aside, Davis swiftly counterattacked, bringing the scythe down in a vertical strike. The blade sliced through the thick limb like a hot knife through butter, causing the beast to bellow out in pain. The severed limb fell to the ground, and the creature staggered back, its balance disrupted.

However, its head was also missing, with a thick layer of death energy covering the severed area.

But quickly, Davis was cornered by two more Feral Beasts.

As they lunged at him from opposite sides, he took a light breath and spun around with incredible force. The scythe whirled in a deadly circle, cleaving through both creatures' torsos in one seamless motion. Blood erupted from their wounds as their bodies fell apart, two halves collapsing in opposite directions.

*Tap!~*

Abruptly, a thin and lean tail latched around Davis.

Davis blinked as he saw that it wasn't a tail but a tongue.

A toad had captured him, intending to pull him over and swallow him whole.

Anticipating the move, Davis crouched low and flicked his fingers. With a precise yet minute swing of the scythe, he cut through the thick appendage, severing it from the creature's mouth. The tongue thrashed violently, blood splashing in a horrifying manner in the directions it flailed before the toad took its tongue back into its mouth.

However, with death energy entering its mouth, its fate was sealed.

In the next few seconds, the Early Stage Immortal Emperor Feral Beasts completely turned black and turned into a husk, their bodies appearing to be lifeless husks.

As the remaining creatures closed in on him, Davis couldn't help but chuckle.

It was unknown how long he had not been able to use his scythe as it unleashed utter terror upon his opponents, but these Feral Beasts were the most optimal, less burdensome option for him to train his scythe arts. Although they were wary and afraid, like they had some level of intelligence, they still looked at him like he was a delicacy and wanted to eat him. Therefore, he had no qualms about destroying them.

'I suppose it's because of my chaotic body… I must be something good to them…'

Davis wondered if eating him could even cause their consciousness to grow other than being able to improve leaps and bounds in their cultivation and perhaps even bloodline. After all, his bloodline, although related, was one of the purest ones attuned to the heaven and earth energy.

Nonetheless, Davis wasn't relying on his death energy. He was solely using Yama's death energy to make mincemeat out of these beasts.

*Roar!~~~*

Tens of snarling beasts lunged at him in a single moment, and many followed behind in a relentless manner.

Any average Immortal King would panic, and even a Patriarch from the First Haven World would think of escaping.

However, Davis lifted his hand.

With a swift, sweeping motion, Davis's scythe cleaved through the enemy's defenses, sending a crimson arc of blood into the air tens of times each second. The thud of the lifeless bodies hitting the ground barely had time to echo before the next beast fell like they were puppets that had their strings cut.

The scythe's dark blade became a whirlwind of destruction, cleaving through the beasts' ranks, leaving a trail of gore in its wake.

"…"

His women behind him had a mesmerized look as they saw his movements. In their eyes, he stood before them, not letting a single beast rush towards them, not knowing that every Feral Beast here looked at him like he was a delicacy.

Nonetheless, all they saw were that Davis's movements were fluid, almost dance-like, as he evaded the incoming strikes with ease as he protected them. With each swing of his deadly weapon, another beast fell. One by one, they met their fate at the hands of the Emperor of Death, never to see the light of the day again.

After killing a horde of hundred and seventy-one Feral Beasts at the Early Immortal Emperor Stage, consisting of various types of beasts fighting for a blooming heavenly resource, Davis stepped into the crimson land- no lake of blood- and gestured towards Tina.

Tina took a step forward and flew into the air, traversing across the bloody lake before she finally appeared beside Davis, looking at the silver leaf hanging above the corpse of a Late Stage Immortal Emperor's giant skull.

"A Silvery Ruinous Everleaf at the Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade. This is a lifeform that can turn into a plant spirit later on, causing it to be able to use poison with a ruinous attribute but used as an ingredient, it has many uses like-"

"I want it."

Myria uttered, causing Davis to turn to look at her and blink.

Instantly, he assumed this was a resource she needed for the creation of her body physique.
