Divine Emperor of Death
-
chapter-3377
Waiting on top of a mountain near the Dragon-Phoenix Alliance, Davis reached out his hand.
A black-robed silhouette soon entered into his view on the horizon and appeared before him the next second, disappearing as a spatial ring and life ring fell into his palm.
Davis's lips curled into a smile.
Of course, he sent his soul body to trade as he didn't want to go there and get entrapped right before the marriage began. That was more troublesome to deal with than getting entrapped. However, he was fairly sure that their attitude would've changed after they met Saintess Lunaria, so he didn't think this trade would fail, so he went there with an optimistic attitude.
As for meeting Saint Riyal Mendez…Davis felt that he needed a more reasonable force to deal with him. He didn't feel like ruining his flowery mood as images of Nadia flashed past his eyes every time he blinked. Knowing that the time of marriage was nigh, he couldn't stop thinking about her.
Soon, he returned to the mansion before he waited outside the Aurora Cloud Gate.
His family appeared, stepping out of a spatial vortex.
He smiled as he saw Stella allowing them to pass with her spatial prowess, which was incredibly stable. Because she was a tree whose roots could even pierce through space, her spatial vortex was incredibly strong enough to hold the coordinates even if it was attacked.
If he hadn't thought of it before, the Void Dust Tree was a lifeform that was overpowered in the latter stages, and with how Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow apparently desired Fairy Wix, he knew that when these two mother-daughter duos entered the Empyrean Stage, they will become extremely powerful.
After all, their ability could literally create a mini realm, and Davis had no doubt that Stella could create that right now as she was indeed an Immortal Emperor Stage Tree. Technically, she was an Early Immortal Emperor Grade Lifeform, as her cultivation was not that of immortality that humans or magical beasts use.
There was no designated cultivation method for her.Nonetheless, with her help, he was able to transport Evelynn and the others in two spatial vortexes across the Central Divide, although they were still in a battleship for appearance purposes.
As soon as Davis appeared, he was ambushed by Panqa and Lanqua as they took him to continue on with readying him for the marriage as he left halfway.
It was dusk soon, so as soon as the moon appeared high above in the skies, it would be time for them to exchange vows and become married.
He was still wearing a black robe, but they also added paint to his face now, making him look quite menacing with the vertical stripes from the forehead all the way beneath the eyes.
As he looked at the mirror, he saw he was quite the charmer and nodded before praising the twins for their effort in grooming him.
Now, he really felt like he joined a tribe.
There was no dragon embroidery on his robe. The designs and patterns were all that of wolves, so he imagined that it would be the same for Nadia.
Turning to look at his cute Panqa and Lanqua, he kissed their foreheads and appeared above a cliff from a roundabout way. There were two ways to this cliff that acted as an altar, so from the other side— appeared a white-robed silhouette that made his heart skip a beat with expectation.
She was adorned in a resplendent white robe that flowed like cascading moonbeams. The bride of this day completely floored him as he didn't expect Nadia to wear white, a vision of purity and grace. Once she saw him, she also paused but stepped forward with a regal poise, her presence emanating a serene feel that harmonized with the mystical atmosphere.
Night fell at this moment.
Her robe, intricately woven from the finest threads of enchanted silk, shimmered in the moonlight, each thread seemingly imbued with the essence of starlight. Delicate patterns adorned the fabric, resembling constellations and ancient symbols that spoke of unity and timeless connections.
Adorning her purple hair were celestial blooms, blossoms that seemed to have been kissed by the night itself, their petals emitting a soft, iridescent glow. Her face, adorned with subtle markings in hues of silver and opalescent whites, exuded a quiet confidence and a serene beauty that rivaled the enchantment of the forest around her.
His Nadia appeared one with the forest as though she had been a forest fairy who lived her for many years, causing him to be breath-taken.
Finally, they arrived at the edge of the cliff and stood together.
There was a cushion seat for the both of them, but they still stood, looking over the cliff as they saw the vast presence of wolves. Their eyes roamed over, spotting their family, who waved their hands at them, which made them overjoyed. Nadia's breathing was also slightly erratic as she could feel the atmosphere bloom with joy.
She had never felt this kind of emotion before. She felt like she was the star of this night, different than the usual attention she got for being an assassin of the night. She wasn't showered with the look of fear but the look of admiration.
After panning his gaze, Davis saw that nothing was wrong in the crowd.
Stella, Tanya, and Lereza stayed with the family, ready to take action. Myria, Tina, and Dalila were also there. It seems like they had yet to complete preparations to make the pill Myria required, most likely going through simulations over and over again to ensure the success rate.
Clara looked fairly well. Tia and Natalya were also here, calming his need to protect them.
With everyone present and safe, he took a deep breath. The gentle breeze above the cliff carried the sweet scent of wildflowers, weaving through Nadia's robe and veil as he inhaled her scent.
She completely enamored him.
"Long live the Empress!~"
"Long live the Divine Emperor of Death!~"
The crowd's chant awakened him, causing him to look at her and hold her hands, which seemed more delicate than ever.
Amidst the tranquil embrace of the moonlit cliff, the bride and groom stood facing each other, their eyes shimmering with numerous emotions.
Davis glanced at the moon in the corner of his eyes.
He didn't know if it was the Lunar Reverence that World Master borrowed like she borrowed the reincarnation cycle of something created through her own powers, but returning his gaze to see Nadia's crescent moon regal mark, he gently smiled at her.
"I, Davis Loret, stand before you, my beloved, bound by the threads of fate and the harmony of two races. With the moon as our witness, I vow to protect and cherish you, to walk by your side through the valleys and peaks of our journey. I pledge my affection, not just as your partner, but as the alpha of our lineage. Henceforth, you are my bride, my twelfth wife, Nadia Davis."
Davis finished his speech with utter solemness, causing Nadia's eyes to visibly tremble. Her eyes turned moist from finally receiving the words she wished to hear for so long.
"I- I… I, Nadia Davis…"
Just as she opened her mouth, her lips quivered. It was unknown if she got stage fright or simply was moved beyond compare, but she only managed to let out two more words before she threw herself to him.
"… love you~"
"…"
Davis blinked as he embraced but then smiled lightly.
"That's all I need to hear."
He caressed her head with the gentlest motion he could as he held her, knowing that his Nadia was a woman of few words, not to mention extremely loyal.
However, his brows twitched, never having found Nadia cuter than today that she tugged at the right heartstrings that made him melt.
After exchanging vows, they sat down and brought out two cups. It was already filled with spirit water and their saliva. They exchanged it by wrapping their arms around each other and drinking, completing the vows they took.
As a man and a magical beast woman, they were now husband and wife!
