Divine Emperor of Death

chapter-3413
"…"
Davis stood there shocked.
As he gazed at the Voidslime Realm Eater and the messaging talisman, he felt the timing couldn't be any worse.
It wasn't like Evelynn was giving birth to an immortal child for her to undergo heavenly tribulation, nor was she in any danger as she was not a Divergent, so there was no valid reason for him to leave right now. Still, he couldn't help but want to be with her at this moment.
'It wouldn't take much time to kill the Voidslime Realm Eater if I joined in, but for Stella alone… that might be quite a hurdle…'Davis pursed his lips, turning to look at Stella.
"My first wife, Evelynn, is going to give birth. Do you mind if we do this later?"
"Give birth?"
Stella's violet eyes lit up, "That's wonderful. My Void Dust Tree race's wish is to give birth to powerful saplings and have them grow as strong as us. I'm sure it's the same for the human race."
She appeared excited as she shook her hands, "I can't wait to play with Eterna and Celestia, and I hope to be able to play with your other children too, so it would be no different for this new one. You're my human, so I would grant you all shelter under my leaves, so go see them. I can wait- In fact, I will go with you, as I've never seen a human give birth. I want to see!"
Her eyes practically shone with fervor, causing Davis to turn speechless even though he couldn't understand a few things she was saying.
This tree was even more excited than him."But-"
Davis pointed at the Voidslime Realm Eater, and Stella puffed, "Ah~ That spacebag isn't going anywhere for at least two years. This is a strong mini realm that even allows Immortal Emperors to enter, so it isn't a problem."
"Alright, thanks for understanding."
Davis heaved a sigh of relief, turning to look at the Voidslime Realm Eater one last time. If the denizens of this mini realm ever attacked it and made it rampage, then it wasn't his problem, as he told them not to go near it.
Regardless, he imagined that Stella could defeat it after returning. However, he couldn't help but hold a vague suspicion that something wasn't right with hunting it down, although it could just be his imagination because he felt it was wasteful to kill it instead of taming it.
"Let's go."
Davis left with Stella.
They arrived at the spatial tunnel, and the situation inside was quite precarious.
However, Stella extended her hands, and spatial roots spread across the tunnel, seeking to stabilize and relieve the pressure.
It didn't even take her a minute to permanently restore the spatial tunnel to its former glory, so Davis was easily able to pass through.
Once they were outside, Stella opened up a few more spatial tunnels directly leading to the new city he built.
Evelynn was moved here a few days earlier so he could see her without going through the Aurora Cloud Gate.
Inside their mansion, Davis stormed inside and flew towards the place where he sensed the most auras, cutting through numerous corners in the hallways and making past numerous strong barriers along with Stella before finally making it to the hallway where many were gathered.
Davis saw Niera and the others here.
Once they spotted him, they quickly shouted for him to go inside the chamber, and he did.
"Ue!~ Ue!~ Uee!~"
He could hear the cries of a baby boy, causing Davis to come to a stop.
Was he late?
"Ah-haa!"
However, Evelynn still screamed, causing him to lunge forward in an instant and move past the curtain.
His vision was instantly filled with Isabella holding a baby gently while Shirley still seemed to be standing before Evelynn, helping her give birth to a second child.
With a step, he appeared beside Evelynn, who didn't even notice he appeared, but once he grabbed her hands, her gaze finally fell on him. She bitterly smiled through her teeth as though telling him that he didn't need to worry.
Stella was also here. She had her mouth closed as though not wanting to accidentally make a sound as she watched how Evelynn was giving birth.
A few moments later, Evelynn relaxed through the laborious process, her pale face taking on a healthy hue as her cheeks turned rosy ever so lightly.
"Ue~ Ue~"
Shirley also held a baby in her arms. She couldn't help but smile as she raised her head to look at Davis.
"Well, look at that. You have a daughter again on top of a son."
"To have achieved both forms of love in a single pregnancy, she's making us jealous."
Isabella appeared beside Davis and had him take the baby boy before she went on to help Evelynn clean up.
"Uee!~ Uee!~"
Davis blinked as he held his first son in his arms.
It felt surreal, even though it wasn't his first experience holding his baby in his arms.
Davis could see himself in him as he appeared to be just like him, especially with blonde hair and sapphire eyes. He was crying more loudly than his sister. He flipped him around slightly and saw that there was a light bump over the lower spine like Evelynn's, meaning that this bump could grow into spider bones that were as deadly as Evelynn's.
He looked toward Shirley, and she understood, displaying the same place to him. Even the baby girl with her mother's purple-green hair and purplish-golden eyes had the same bump over her back.
Clearly, they had inherited Evelynn's bloodline but-
"Twins…?"
Davis didn't know as they had different features perfectly embodying him and Evelynn. Besides, feys could give birth to twins or two different lives in the same womb like magical beasts could, so he felt it could be the latter.
Regardless, he was unable to process information as efficiently as before as emotions tried to overwhelm him.
Holding Evelynn's hand, he lowered his arm and had her take the baby.
Evelynn's tears fell silently as she took her son in her arms. She gazed at him with loving eyes, unable to believe she had finally given birth to her own children even though they had been nurtured inside her for many years.
"You endured well, my love."
She glanced at Davis, who praised her, causing her to bite her lips as she smiled and locked gazes with him.
They kissed lightly, sharing their love for each other.
"I gave birth to a son first before my daughter…"
Evelynn's voice was still weak, but there was an undeniable source of pride now as she smiled ever so lightly, causing Davis to chuckle.
"Yes, you did. You can be proud of that."
"Perhaps…"
Evelynn shook her head but didn't explain herself. She then reached out a hand toward Shirley, but Davis pushed her hand away and grabbed his newborn daughter gently from Shirley.
"Little Evelynn is mine…"
He chuckled lightly and cajoled her to stop crying, but both brother and sister were making quite the ruckus with their cries.
Evelynn couldn't help but laugh silently to avoid stressing her body. She was filled with love at this moment as she caressed her baby boy while looking at Davis treat her daughter with extra love as he seemed to love daughters over sons.
She wondered if he would be strict with a son, but nonetheless, she wished that days like this could go on forever.
"Isn't that right, little Davis?"
She touched her baby boy's little nose with her finger and asked, receiving more cries, which made her smile brightly.
