Divine Emperor of Death
-
chapter-3450
"Stop!"
Two silhouettes flew through the skies with incomparable speed.
One of them wore a black robe and was at the forefront, seeming to be escaping from the purple-robed woman who was in the back. She had a black scythe etched on her robe, indicative of her rank as a Vice Legion Commander of the Reaper Soul Legion.
She was none other than Threelotus.
Her brown hair flailed in the wind freely, not breaking her hairstyle or getting tangled as it was covered in vague light energy. Her face was veiled, revealing her beautiful black eyes, but her brows were furrowed right now as though she was going to panic. She shouted, but the black-robed man in front continued to escape.
He was none other than the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor.
"Who are you!? How has my Northern Sphere Bandits offended you!?"
A resounding voice came, causing Threelotus to almost roll her eyes, knowing this shameless Immortal Emperor was only trying to buy some time and get some breath as she was constantly on his tail.
He was unable to escape from her.
It also didn't matter if he knew of her or not, as the Reaper Soul Legion was practically unheard of for the most part, even if they had heard of the Emperor of Death.
"Dammit! Are you acting?" He roared, appearing pissed.Threelotus's Peak-Level Immortal King undulations fluctuated immensely as though she was overexpending her energy to keep up with the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor's speed. It was understandable, considering that even if a person with a lower cultivation base could match a person with a higher cultivation base, they would not be able to match their energy capacity most of the time.
Hence, the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor thought he could lose this woman if he just kept flying in circles around the mountain ranges. However, his speed was affected when weaving through, so he made a beeline towards the northern direction, but this woman was still on his tail, appearing to never become exhausted.
'Took you long enough…'
Threelotus didn't say anything as she inwardly grinned.
Her mission was to capture the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor and weaken him enough so that some woman could defeat him, but she had a change of orders that said she only needed to trap him in place until that person arrived.
However, she had underestimated this bandit.
He truly had innumerable escaping skills, which made it extremely difficult for her to capture him. As long as she was within range of capturing him, he would unleash a barrage of attacks and easily maneuver out of her range, making her unable to capture him.
She could understand why he was called a Bandit Emperor now.
However, if the mission was just to trap him, then she knew it was also fine to keep an eye on him until that woman arrived.
It would be all the same.
However, a part of her mind panicked over the thought she could be punished for not following orders to the full extent.
Even while following the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor, his mind couldn't help but think of what the Legion Master would do to her, her mind imagining herself kneeling in front of the Emperor of Death in a closed chamber while he looked down on her.
"My liege~ Please forgive my inability."
"Threelotus." The Legion Master's voice was cold, "I'm disappointed in you. I thought you would be able to surpass Yotan with your talent, but even now, you're lagging behind her. This had been your only chance to overturn everyone's opinion, but you couldn't even trap a single bandit?"
"Legion Master, please don't be disappointed in me. Please give me another chance!"
Threelotus pleaded as she bit her lower lips. Soon, she was lifted up, her chin raised by his hand.
"You want a chance? But you haven't met my expectations."
"No, please punish me. Discipline me if I don't meet your expectations."
"Oh?"
Threelotus saw the Legion Master's face turned, intrigued by her resolution. He appeared to contemplate before lightly nodding his head, moving closer to her face before he-
"Then prepare to be disciplined. I will make sure you won't ever forget this night." sensually whispered in her ears.
"Ah~"
Threelotus went limp, making her come out of her reverie.
"Ahhhh!~~~"
"What the fuck…?"
The Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor looked behind him and saw the purple-robed woman spiral out of control during flight and ram into a mountain peak as she screamed. However, the scream didn't sound it was like one of fright or pain but an ecstatic moan, making him feel confused.
Nonetheless, he didn't stop and escaped deep into the mountain range, where there were numerous valleys blocking one's sight. As long as he maintained a light pace and concealed his tracks, he was confident he could get away.
In the mountain peak Threelotus crashed into, she appeared to be stuck in it or, rather, didn't seem to have the motivation to get out as her expression was one of mischievous anticipation.
'Oh no- I might've really failed in the mission right now. I can still feel his undulations, continue to give chase and be on his tail, but… failing this mission might also lead to that kind of situation… no- I might get executed instead. Ah, what am I thinking!?'
Threelotus's thoughts were all over the place.
Her cheeks were flushed red, and she even slightly felt wet down there, making her unable to think properly. She could tell that she finally went crazy with her thoughts, but with the urgency of pursuing the target or deciding to act as if she failed, she couldn't make a judgment, especially with her body instinctively refusing to move.
'No, I can't lose to Yotan!'
Finally, she caught sight of motivation as she could imagine Yotan looking down on her before she forcefully extricated herself from the rock and continued to give chase.
This time, she used her full prowess.
Level Nine Immortal King Stage undulations reverberated around the area as she shot in the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor's directions. Her strong soul sense stemming from her soul spread around the region, actively disturbing any hidden locality she could find.
The density of her aura sent numerous wild beasts scramming out.
Unlike the Central Divide, the Northern Divide was home to many wild, magical beasts, including immortal beasts.
They would also tear apart anyone who came their way, and for the bandits, it made them a form of natural obstacle or defense to their hideouts.
But it was unlikely for one to find a wild Immortal Emperor Beast since they were hunted down or recruited by the major powers, so Threelotus didn't care if she would be in danger as she flushed out the fauna.
"There you are…"
"Dammit!"
Eventually, she found the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor after a few minutes, causing him to roar and dash into the horizon again while the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor couldn't understand how this woman still had the energy capacity to follow him.
At the same time, Threelotus's heart skipped a beat.
She felt a powerful yet familiar aura near her from a distance, causing her to rejoice that she had at least found the target before she could be reunited.
Soon, a flying boat neared her and slowed down to follow her pace.
There, she saw the Legion Master and his two soon-to-be wives, Panqa and Lanqua, as well as a third woman who appeared quite similar to the twins but had a vastly different demeanor with a broadsword mounted behind her shoulder.
"Excellent job, Threelotus. We'll take it from here."
Davis's voice resounded. She flew up and saw him on the deck, causing her to rejoice.
"I'm honored, Legion Master, but I haven't fully completed the mission, so please let me complete it or discipline me for failing!"
Threelotus yelled out, causing Davis to blink before he turned to look at her.
"I never thought you were the serious type. Fine, I'll discipline you. No resources for you for the next three months."
"…"
