Divine Emperor of Death
-
chapter-3483
Davis instantly had the nearby forces of the Reaper Soul Legion go protect Evelynn and the others. After dealing with the bandits, they took a liking to cleaning up bandits and were doing justice.
Tanya also personally went ahead to escort Evelynn, leaving behind a trail of icy atmosphere in her wake. Her sword intent made it so that one wasn't even able to see her slicing through the air and just thought that an icy comet was passing by.
With everything taken care of, Davis turned to look at Fairy Thunderblaze.
"This time, you have been of much help. Within a week, I will deliver what I promised without fail."
"…"Fairy Thunderblaze raised her brows.
Was he talking about annihilative heavenly flames?
Davis didn't extrapolate and bid Fairy Thunderblaze farewell.
He wanted to get his mother and the others to safety as soon as possible, as they were no different than children with their Mortal Realm Cultivations.
But he wasn't lying when he said that to Fairy Thunderblaze.
Originally, he had wanted to rely on Fiora to get annihilative heavenly flames as he was confident that she could withstand an Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation, but she was now pregnant with his child.
Therefore, he had to now rely on Zephya. He was going to use Karmicblight on her and give her karmic sin.
That would invoke an Annihilative Heavenly Flame Tribulation in the Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation. Since he would be only giving her a meter's worth of karmic sin, her tribulation's difficulty shouldn't increase more than a level.
For a powerful spirit like Zephya, he felt that it should still be easier to cross.
Davis's lips couldn't but curl with an idea suddenly. Would bestowing karmic sin on his people be considered abuse?
If that was the case, was it possible that he could protect them from unlucky encounters in this way?
But Davis doubted it, considering that there was little to no backlash so far as he used Karmicgrace to bestow third-tier karmic virtue to his people.
Perhaps Fallen Heaven was out of the equation due to its seamless nature unless it was found.
Quickly, he brought his people back to the city and made them comfortable in a mansion; later that day, he assigned mansions for them for the cost of a few hundred Immortal Crystals that they would pay after some menial work later on.
He called Drake and personally brought Drake's wives to him and watched chaos ensue- or thought it would, but it didn't happen, and his new wives accepted his previous wives like they were birds of the same feather.
"…"
It made Davis fume as the benefits of mingling with women in dual cultivation paths were plain to be seen, but he also knew Drake carried more risks of being cheated on, so he wasn't envious or anything of that sort.
Instead, he admired Drake for being able to retain them, which meant they truly loved him.
"Davis, you're the man!"
Drake jumped on him and cried a river of tears as he had thought he would never see them for the next hundred years at the very least, but this sudden surprise left him deeply shaken and moved beyond compare.
"Don't worry, Solar Dragon Emperor."
"Fuck!"
Drake jumped back and glared at Davis, his cheeks reddening as he had abandoned this title after coming to her as he was too weak.
Davis smirked. He learned of this name as Drake's wives uttered it when lovingly mentioning his name, although he felt like the origins had to do with absorbing Planet Earth's Sun's Fire Essence.
"You never mention that name in front of me again, or I'll call you the Divine Emperor of Death."
"Go ahead. I like it now."
Davis grinned. That karmic burden from Divine was no longer a problem to him.
Drake gnashed his teeth but eventually gave up.
"Whatever. I'll just become worthy of that name again before someone picks a fight with me for sounding so pompous."
"Don't worry. The Dragon Alliance will be on your tail soon."
"Dammit!" Drake roared, "Nothing good comes from listening to you."
"Pfft."
The ladies tried to suppress their laughter, but Jade Sua ended up unable to suppress it and let out a string of melodious laughter before the other ladies did the same. Swansea, Teriyela, Maina, Freya, and Xanarea were particularly out of breath as they had cried their hearts out since they had taken care of Drake from the very beginning.
Kara Moonridge had also hidden her face in Drake's chest as she ruined his robe with her tears and snot.
It made Drake entirely relieved to see their smiling faces again. After all, he may have made the decision to save his friend, but it was no different than abandoning his wives. He felt guilty towards them.
Davis also felt deeply indebted to Drake, wanting to help him as much as possible.
Without him, it would've been much more difficult to have survived, as his father would've gotten caught and maimed even if it was the Starlight Jade Wolf King trying to protect him.
After a short chat, Drake bid farewell as he saw Davis had other things to do.
Indeed, Davis stepped out and walked into another mansion, seeing Mark Ruth play with Celestia while Isabella watched over them.
His senses extended further out, and he saw Louis Ashton play with Eterna while Shirley did the same. Natalya cried a river of tears as she laid in her mother Rosalia Stirlander's embrace while Igor Stirlander, her father, seemed to be proud of their cultivation and Fiora's small pregnancy bump, which was pretty much non-existent.
Ancestor Dian Alstreim went around like a countryside man as he greeted Founder Alstreim Windstorm's family, unable to believe there were so many strong Alstreims. He profoundly felt like he was at home, knowing if it was with this bunch, then he would not need to worry about his back and cultivate as he pleased.
Niera also came out of the time chamber and happily engaged with her family: Valdrey Alstreim, Nero Alstreim, Keira Alstreim, Ezekiel Alstreim, Elise Alstreim, and Nora Alstreim. They were incredibly proud that Niera was going to give birth to an immortal baby.
Davis had also settled Uncle Daniuis and his family here and did the same for Ancestor Cornelia, Alexi Ethren, and a few others.
For some reason, Jaisi Alstreim also tagged along.
She was the one who owned a big inn and had a food inheritance that Davis liked to obtain, but she didn't trade. He believed if she started a restaurant in this city, the city might become popular and finally have new faces, but he didn't have too much hope for it.
It was Evelynn who accepted her request to tag along with them anyway.
As for Evelynn herself, she appeared beside him, looking at him with much fondness as she felt like he had managed to unite their families once again. He was a capable man in her eyes.
"Are you not with your father?"
Davis asked, causing Evelynn to smile, "I prefer to be with you."
"Your father is going to cry." He chuckled.
"So is your father." Evelynn countered, "You threw him into a fiery pit when you revealed he had a female master who is a beauty to your mother."
"Hehe…"
Davis evilly chuckled. How could he not fan the flames when his father was so hard-working? Wouldn't the rate of increase in cultivation die down?
He couldn't help but sneak a peek at his parents, wondering what they were doing after they were reunited.
Of course, they wouldn't be rabbits since Claire was pregnant, but he saw them being chummy with each other as they sat on the couch and wrapped their arms around each other as though they were inseparable.
"Do you not want to go see your other wives?"
"I prefer to be with you now."
Claire blushed upon hearing Logan's answer. It seemed to have made her happy, but Davis was flabbergasted as Evelynn's words to him were also the same. It seems that he had been hit with a classic line.
In any case, he nodded with satisfaction, knowing that his mother and father were inseparable as he made them inseparable. After all, he made them face each other with everything at risk when he was young.
"But I swear. I'm not in love or courting my master. We strictly have a master-disciple relationship, and I have learned many things from her that I have nothing but respect for her."
Logan spoke worriedly. He knew his son would rattle the beehive-like it was no one's business.
It made Claire's eyes flutter before she smiled lightly.
"It's fine."
"…?"
"Since I sent you to death, take it as me apologizing to you with sincerity. You can pursue your master or anyone else if you want to… but only once~"
"…"
Logan became stunned at Claire's words. Her countenance was also lovely, with her face filled with embarrassment as though she couldn't believe she had said something like that. Logan couldn't suppress himself and leaned into a kiss, causing Davis to reel back, his eyes blinking.
"Not fair…"
Davis gawked.
He had made his peace with not wanting anyone else right now, but his mother allowed his father to get a woman, making him grumble. Drake didn't seem to also face any problems, making him wonder if he was the one with bad luck.
Nonetheless, his decision wasn't based upon others but on himself and his wives. He liked a few more women but didn't feel like it was worth disrespecting his harem for it, as his mother said. If anything, he felt like not one more woman could enter his heart without the incredible conviction to be with him that would change his mind.
"What's not fair?" Evelynn asked.
Davis shrugged, refusing to elaborate. They all enjoyed the banquet that had been served tonight.
Soon, a guest finally appeared.
"I heard you saved our sect and called to see me. How have you been…?"
A jade-green-robed woman appeared before Davis, her long blue hair waving with the wind, causing her to align them behind her ear, her movements somewhat awkward.
She was none other than Ivy Aries, who seemed to have been saved from the strange time-formation prison in the Jade Lotus Valley. It seemed like Jade Aurora finally became the Matriarch in the three days he had been absent!
