Divine Emperor of Death
chapter-3540

Davis and Myria walked a long way back to the mansion. They didn't fly or hover but walked on the footpath, holding hands and Myria couldn't hide her smile all the way. In fact, the worry of tribulation or any other consequences for that matter wasn't on her mind.

She was at another place, a place where she finally became a wife and, for the first time, felt like she didn't have to worry about anything, allowing her to finally feel feminine and at ease.

However, all that was destroyed when she saw the grinning expression of Ellia and all the things she did above the bed came down crashing like a boulder.

"Ellia… don't…"

Myria's cheeks instantly turned crimson while Ellia daintily walked forward. She appeared before them and leaned on Davis, giving him a kiss on his cheek before she cast a teasing look at Mryia.

"I haven't even said anything, Myria~"

"…"

Myria pouted. She felt her face burn and glared at Davis.

Davis simply looked away. He wasn't willing to get murdered.

"And you- I'm your mother- no, elder sister, and you will address me that way."

"No way~" Ellia shook her head, "Since we are his wives, there's no need for me to call you with seniority. Besides, I'm the fifteenth wife while you are the eighteenth. If anything, you should call me big sister Ellia."

Ellia giggled, appearing like a wicked little sister. She grinned at Myria, who then glared back. Numerous emotions rippled across Myria's beautiful face, which made Davis enjoy it. Even though Myria and Ellia literally had the same face, their range of expression was entirely different, and Davis couldn't get enough from both of them.

"Big sister… Ellia…"

"…!"

Davis and Ellia gawked together as they heard Myria reluctantly utter- address Ellia with seniority.

"No, no, no~" Ellia quickly stepped up before Myria and clasped her hands, "Mother, I was only joking. You don't need to address me that way, or I will feel sad. I will always be your child, be your little sister~"

She appeared utterly satisfied and heartened, making her lean and embrace Myria.

"That's true." Davis nodded, "You only need to address Evelynn with such an honorific if you respect her enough, as she is the first wife and needs to maintain an authoritative image for others to feel secure, knowing that their equal status given by her isn't in jeopardy. As for the others, such things do not matter unless you're trying to insult them with a condescending speech or something."

Davis knew the harem had gone beyond his control, and he didn't want to be too controlling either, so Evelynn would be the one to hold down the fort. Therefore, she needed to be respected there, or things might get messy since his women weren't exactly the ordinary bunch with how they're growing stronger along with him.

After Niera had a son, she was overly prideful, but she was a peaceful woman at heart, so she wasn't confrontative and even openly mentioned she wasn't trying to do anything, which went to say she didn't want any misunderstandings forming in the harem.

Respect needed to be given to Evelynn, or everyone might think the first wife's position was available for the taking, although not the number as it was cemented officially, but the authority.

Davis knew the harem had gone beyond his control, and he didn't want to be too controlling either, so Evelynn would be the one to hold down the fort. Therefore, she needed to be respected there, or things might get messy since his women weren't exactly the ordinary bunch with how they're growing stronger along with him.

Myria also blinked.

She had really committed to this relationship, so she was willing to follow its rules and force herself even if she couldn't. However, it seems like she didn't need to follow it to the letter, and there was enough leeway for her to feel not lesser than anyone else.

Ellia firmly hugged Myria. She was on cloud nine because her mother got married to the man she loved and that signified utter approval for her decision to be with him.

It wasn't exactly normal, but her mother wasn't normal either, so this gives her approval that she was right from the beginning, and it meant a lot to her.

"Happy married life, mother~ I'm glad you two are still here with us~"

She congratulated Myria and turned to look at Davis.

"That was quick…" Ellia imagined they would be spending weeks in bed.

After all, it took him two weeks to get out of bed when he was with Everlight, but now, he was out in half a day?

That didn't seem quite good when it came to her mother's face.

"What can I say?" Davis shrugged, "There should be a lot of people waiting for us, right?"

"Indeed."

Ellia nodded. She felt relieved that they came sooner but Myria may not think so. Regardless, her expression turned solemn, "Tia said the phenomenon you two brought was a Divine Punitive Tribulation and she was quite scared. I came here first in order to avoid confusion since I'm closer to Myria than anyone else, so let me know what happened as long as it's not too much to share."

Davis shot a look at Myria and raised his brows, asking her if they should say that they summoned a mini-reincarnation cycle with their union as it might carry a lot of karmic burden with it.

"…"

However, Myria's ears turned crimson, making Davis speechless.

It seemed like all she cared about now was not making her first-night public information.

Davis could understand that emotion as any virtuous woman would like to be as discrete as possible, so there was no need to say something about a Saintess who would be brought up with sermons of virtue all day long like he received teaching on how to be a Prince.

However, he maddened every etiquette teacher he got as he adopted his own way, and his parents didn't force him since they knew he was a reincarnated being, allowing him to be not restricted by such etiquette.

"We'll say what happened in due time when you all become an Immortal Emperor. Until then, you all don't need to come across this information."

Davis answered, causing Myria to blink.

"In that case, how do you propose we calm the entire populace of the First Haven World who got their souls tugged by a mysterious phenomenon that they tracked down to this place?"

"What…?"

Davis blinked.

The myriad of souls he got connected with actually felt a tug in their souls...?

He was shocked as originally, he thought Saintess Lunaria and the others would be on his ass for bringing down such a tribulation. He was prepared to calm them down. However, never did he expect the entire First Haven World to be alarmed as they had gotten their souls almost pulled from their bodies.

'Oh shit… Saintess Lunaria must've thought I had used Fallen Heaven…'

Davis imagined, causing him to look at Ellia with a solemn expression.

"Did Saintess Lunaria almost enter our city?"

"Yes, she almost stormed in with the Guardians, intending to save- perhaps kill you as they though you might've gone berserk like many Divergents, but Evelynn and I talked them out of it, saying you were not insane and will set your hearts at ease soon enough, so they might be expecting you."

Ellia informed clearly, smiling a bit, "I'm glad you're sane and still here~"

She kept her hand over her jaw and looked at him dreamily.

However, Davis appeared to be tipsy suddenly before he pointed at Myria.

"I'm not sane... I'm drunk from savoring your mother."

"You!-"

Myria flared with intense embarrassment as she remembered he stuck his head over and over again on her lower body. However, before she could blow her top, Davis stood straight and raised his hands.

"But nonetheless, let's go. We got some hearts to set at ease, but I also imagine there are some Immortal Emperors outside my city?"

He looked at Ellia, raising his brows as he gestured them to follow.

Myria and Ellia started to walk behind him, looking at his back that took lead, causing them to smile while Myria calmed, imagining that she should chastise him another day.

"Yes," Ellia stopped her grin before she nodded, "There are literally a thousand Immortal Emperors a few tens of thousands of kilometers away from our city. We may want to placate them as well."

"No need." Davis shook his head.

"I owe Saintess Lunaria and the Aurora Cloud gate, so I also owe them an explanation, but the others, tell them to leave in ten minutes through Yotan, and they will get their explanation in a few days. If they stay, then tell them I'll show no mercy since they pose a security threat to our family."

"…"

Myria and Ellia smiled at each other, feeling this was the right decision to make, not too overly tyrannical yet not also showing any weakness.

This was the way a major power with fairness in their hearts would do things!
