Divine Emperor of Death
chapter-3644

Yeyin had just seen Isabella escaping from those two Candidates and hurriedly blipped out a wisp of her aura. Due to the range and limited soul sense, only Isabella was able to pick it up, while Girias and Harmon failed to sense it.

She used that to her advantage, using a concealment technique she learned from the Noble Phoenix Moon Shade Art, the Body Tempering Cultivation Manual of the Ice Phoenix Clan used by humans and feys alike.

She was a magical beast but that didn't mean she couldn't learn techniques. She was even capable of learning a few other Laws as long as it was related to her original law.

After concealing herself, she encompassed them with her icy flames and killed them without a problem, thanks to Isabella provoking them with insults and delaying their actions.

"You look like you're scared that my husband is going to blame you. Relax~"

Isabella giggled, causing Yeyin to blink before she shook her head. It was true that she felt indebted to Davis but that didn't make her subservient although she did wonder if this made him lose some trust in her capability as she did agree to protect Shirley and the others, the very reason for her remaining on the first step instead of climbing higher.

She was worried that she had disappointed him.

"Since you came from the southeast, I guess your sister is to the northwest."

"How did you know?" Yeyin's eyes widened.

"Twins…"

Isabella almost rolled her eyes. Twins had a strange karmic connection that allowed them to detect each other's location as long as they learned some karmic techniques, and there was little doubt that Yeyin and Zahara would've learned how to meet up if they ever got separated in the Candidacy.

This was the case with Altross and Zoltross but they were even better at it, being able to teleport- perhaps not exactly teleport because of the dense spatial pressure here but travel extremely fast that allowed them to reunite.

Therefore, she believed that Yeyin would be going towards Zahara and vice versa in order to reunite. After all, their fire and ice worked best together. If not, Yeyin chancing upon her would really be a lucky coincidence that saved her life.

"Indeed." Yeyin nodded, "Zahara is also making her way toward me, but she is still a few tens of thousands of kilometers away from us. I suspect it's going to take her some time to appear, so in the meantime, let me heal you."

Yeyin approached Isabella and raised her hands, water energy splashing out instead of ice energy. The water energy seemed to have healing properties with it, but Isabella shook her head.

"No, let's make it back to the place where those idiots are staying and kill them all…"

Isabella quickly tried to explain how she was chased, but Yeyin was adamant and bent down to heal her left leg. She tried to move away, but Yeyin made her sit down on the ground and healed her.

Feeling a sense of protection, Isabella caught some breath as she rested her right leg. It was still spasming from the movement technique she used.

In the meantime, she went through the events without hiding anything. Isabella clenched her teeth again as she recounted those hateful encounters.

She was enraged and wanted to practically torture Altross, Girias, and Harmon and lay waste to those people who banded together to chase her away when she was clearly not the last person to arrive there.

But with Yeyin's water energy soothing her leg and heart, she managed to calm down, becoming able to see things clearer.

"Let's regroup with your twin sister Zahara and return to the place where I was chased from."

"Don't worry." Yeyin smiled, "We'll show them who we are."

She stood up, patting her hands as he looked at Isabella's left leg that was good as new except it was not tempered as the right leg.

"There should be some discomfort with how much energy your left leg can withstand, but it should be better than fighting with one leg."

"Right…"

Isabella stood up as she patted her dirtied white robes. She was a mess right now, wanting to take a bath, so she eyed Yeyin once again.

Yeyin raised her brows.

The two of them then headed to a secluded corner, and Isabella came out freshened up, now wearing her golden robe. She didn't care about enemies sensing her energy anymore, as Yeyin was with her. Still, she kept her undulations to a minimal level as possible.

As for Yeyin, she was as strong as a Level Eight Immortal King with seven levels of prowess! This shot down many inheritors as the majority of them only had a prowess of six levels higher from what she garnered.

"Any word from Shirley?"

Isabella suddenly asked, but Yeyin shook her head.

"I can't sense her. She also has a strong karmic with me since she shares my blood, so the fact that I can't sense her could only mean she's too far away."

"I see."

Isabella pursed her lips, wondering how big the Crystal World was or if the Crystal World also imposed karmic restrictions and the Luminous Temple's twin inheritors were just lucky enough to be teleported nearby to each other.

In the distance, they could see another white-robed woman make her way.

She grinned and waved her hand towards them, speeding up her movement. It took her ten minutes to make it from the mountain peak of one mountain to another, finally appearing before them as she heaved a long breath.

"Welcome aboard, Zahara." Isabella smiled.

"Phew, traversing this space is no joke. It is too dense and expends too much energy, like the more speed you use, the more resistance you face."

Zahara laughed wryly.

Even as a magical beast, she felt this so-called Crystal World was no joke. She doubted even Immortal Emperors could fly here without quickly getting tired, the same as them getting tired just by dashing around the area.

"I know." Isabella nodded, "I had my fair share of defeat ever since coming here, and it sucks. So let's go have some fun."

"Fun…"

Zahara seemed interested, wondering what Isabella had in store for her.

"Alright, let's regroup with the Earth Dragon Clan before making a move on that trash."

Isabella waved her hand as she turned around, leading them to the crystal mountain near the Fourth Hidden Pagoda.

On the way, she heard that Zahara and Yeyin managed to kill some Immortal Emperor Crystal Beasts and harvested their crystal cores, making Isabella nod her head.

Furthermore, it seemed that Zahara chanced upon the First Hidden Pagoda and was teleported with a lot of people nearby. However, she chose to leave because the First Hidden Pagoda required two hundred and fifty-six people to participate, not to mention the number of crystal units they would each require, so Zahara decisively left the area, not wanting to waste time on the First Hidden Pagoda when her most important mission was to protect Shirley yet also Isabella and Evelynn.

But first, if she wanted to be of help, she had to regroup with Yeyin and become invincible in a battle against equal-level inheritors.

Then, they could access and plunder as many resources as they like. Such was Zahara's thought process, and so was Yeyin's. It could be said that they were starting to think alike despite their initial difference and dislike for each other due to their memories being tampered with.

Isabella led the Phoenix twins to the crystal mountain.

By this time, she knew that Girias and Harmon would've come up with some countermeasure, perhaps even tried to harm Crystia and Noctis before she could get to them. She didn't think they would be done with mining this soon, so they could've escaped as well.

"…"

But unexpectedly, when she came back to Crystal Mountain, she saw that it was deserted.

No- it wasn't deserted, but a Peak-Level Immortal Emperor Crystal Beast stood on top of a mountain. It was a dragon, appearing to overlook the surroundings as it imposed its tyrannical might.

"Tch…"

Isabella clicked her tongue. Somehow, she couldn't help but think those two bastards lured this beast here, knowing that they wouldn't be able to beat them if Crystia and Yeyin joined forces.

"Those dimwits sure are decisive."

Nonetheless, Isabella and the others had slowly approached, careful of traps. She did have to cross through the area where Escape Talismans didn't work, after all. Therefore, they weren't caught by the Peak-Level Immortal Emperor Crystal Beast Dragon.
