Divine Emperor of Death

chapter-3829
An hour after Autarch Metenoa woke up, Davis and the others finally left.
Autarch Metenoa returned to his family and really did continue to act as though nothing had happened. They knew this because Captain Praezen used his avatar to keep an eye on Autarch Metenoa.
They hadn't left that far, so Captain Praezen was still able to relay what was going on.
If something happened to Captain Praezen's avatar, then they would know that subduing Autarch Metenoa was a failure.
Davis initially denied but Captain Praezen was vehement about seeing this through. The former didn't care if Autarch Metenoa betrayed them because in that case, Autarch Metenoa really was going to die a gruesome death as he had belief in his Judgment Laws after Autarch Metenoa gave away his autonomy.
His Judgment Laws terrified even himself with its uncontrollable and dangerous nature.
Once it was set, then the judgment would fall like a heavenly hammer smashing them against the ground. There was no escaping it unless an even greater power defended them but with Evelynn's restriction that came through a slave seal that used the Poison Hex as a base, even opening his mouth and saying he knew Davis to others would prove to be fatal.
Nonetheless, since Captain Praezen wanted to see this though, he let him.
Their journey continued.
They met a bandit group soon after they crossed two hundred thousand kilometers. However, the flying ship's defenses were great. It didn't let their attacks damage them, so they passed through without a problem.
"Hmph~ Lucky bandits…"Isabella pouted with killing intent brewing in her eyes as she saw bandits waving their swords and booing at them.
It seemed like they had given up. Otherwise, she would've slaughtered them.
"Just ignore them, Isabella. We'll encounter thousands of them in the vast stretches of the myriad realms. There's no avoiding them but we could ignore them as long as they don't pose a threat. At least we won't accidentally leave a trace behind."
Davis waved his hand, looking amused.
"…"
Isabella wanted to retort but she looked at his face more closely before she walked towards him and stood behind him, beginning to massage his shoulder.
"Take some rest and sleep in the master cabin. You spent too much of your soul force today."
She pressed on his broad shoulders and squeezed with her frail yet tremendously powerful fingers, causing Davis to freeze as both pain and pleasure attacked him.
"A little bit lighter…"
He said and Isabella adjusted, allowing him to continue to enjoy the massage.
"You were cool back there, Isabella. Amazing awareness to have minimized the damage from the Autarch Grade Talisman."
Soon, Shirley also sat down near him and began to massage his legs.
"Really? There's no need…"
Davis stopped Shirley but she pushed his hand away.
"You're not taking rest and I didn't have anything to do back there, so the least I can do is relive some of your pain~" Shirley hummed with delight.
'My body isn't aching though…'
Davis wanted to say that as only his soul was exhausted but he didn't as he enjoyed their massage. Isabella's hand moved to his head as she also massaged his head, making him feel like he was in heaven- no, not the heavens. That was hell for him. He felt like he was back home without a hint of trouble waiting for him.
Perhaps it was the relief provided by the massage. Davis started feeling sleepy in ten minutes.
"Enough."
Davis stood up and walked away, standing on the deck as he looked ahead.
Isabella and Shirley looked at each other and looked worried. They were teasing all his acupuncture points that would lead to something standing up but he got sleepy instead. That alone should speak of the exhaustion he was going through after using Judgment Laws on an Autarch.
Isabella already guessed he had used sixty or seventy percent of his soul force already while she was massaging his head and checking his soul sea.
She couldn't help but gaze at his back, wondering if he was not showing vulnerability to give them hope in this crisis.
They had just left but already met with an Autarch.
Would they be ambushed by dozens of Heaven's Warriors if they were to continue on this journey?
Such worries were on their minds but she felt like he didn't have to carry the entire burden of it since they were also here. They took down an Autarch all by themselves without his help, so why not rely on them?
She wanted to convince him to take a rest but didn't as she could see he was doing his best to remain vigilant.
Davis stepped aboard to the front of the deck as he looked at the clouds above and sometimes straight apart as they pierced through.
There was Stella here looking out for bandits and other threats. She had substituted Isabella since the latter voluntarily resigned after failing to see through the concealment barrier of the Metenoa Family's territory. However, no one accepted that resignation, so Isabella would be back sooner or later.
Looking at Stella's cute side profile, he raised his hand and patted her, wanting to praise her for her efforts back there. If she didn't support Isabella's spatial barrier, then it might not have held up. At the very least, the shockwaves would've leaked and left a mess, indicating the vestiges of a great battle.
"There… wha-what is that…?"
But abruptly, Stella pointed towards something and jumped. She seemed spooked.
"…?
Davis blinked as his hand was thrown back from Stella's jump. He looked towards the distance but couldn't see how far she was seeing with bare eyes alone, so he squinted his eyes and focused, slowly waiting to see more clearly.
In a few seconds, he could see a small flaming dot appear in his vision.
"Fuck… move… change direction!"
Davis cursed and swung his hand to the right.
Founder Alstreim jumped and hurriedly swayed the ship to the right. He wondered what was going on but didn't bother to ask. In fact, there was no need to ask as he could see a crimson dot far away closing the distance to them. Its undulations were at the Autarch level but much more stronger than Autarch Metenoa!
'Shit… it's a Void Class Calamity like the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend…!'
"Infernal Haze Retribution Cloud!" Davis shouted before turning to look back decisively, "Isabella…!"
"On it…!"
Isabella took out a talisman and began infusing her energy to activate it. It drained a lot.
One of the biggest gains they had in subduing Autarch Metenoa was his talismans, one of which was a Concealment Talisman.
They had only two of these and each was kept stored to be used in a situation when it was required but couldn't believe they already had to use one already because they also recognized this cloud lifeform, a Void Class Calamity known as the Infernal Haze Retribution Cloud, a living cloud that was full of vengeance, destroying anything that may be foolish enough to cross its path and escaping quickly if it was in danger.
"Where did it come from??" Shirley looked shocked.
She held the railings as the boat swayed heavily from the sudden turn.
"Who knows? It could've landed from space, so we need to leave as soon as possible before the royal family of the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm shows up!"
Davis clenched his teeth, watching the ship become concealed in a cloak. He could only hope that the flying ship was concealed on time before the Infernal Haze Retribution Cloud actually noticed them.
