Earth's Greatest Magus
chapter-1972

Emery rushed through the Moon Base's metallic corridors, the sound of his footfalls echoed through the metallic expanse, emphasizing the intensity of the chase. The grand magus, relentless in their pursuit, pressed on with unwavering determination.

The fierce battle had taken a toll on Emery, depleting a substantial portion of his spirit energy. Despite hastily consuming a high-grade restoring pill, the revitalizing effects seemed frustratingly slower with each use. With time working against him, Emery prepared the last trick to gain a momentary advantage.

As he reached the 400-square-meter dome—the Moon Base's dedicated training ground Emery swiftly opened a portal larger than usual. The grand magus, relentless in their pursuit, shouted, "STOP THERE!!" as the alligator-faced magus leaped toward Emery.

From the portal emerged a figure that defied the expectation of the pursuing grand magus. It wasn't a human, but a colossal, scaly serpent-like creature with a tortoise shell on its back. The creature's enormous 20-meter size forced the grand magus to redirect his attack toward the mysterious entity. In response, the creature skillfully employed its sturdy shell to block the assault. Despite sustaining injuries, it managed to push the grand magus back.

"What creature is this?!" exclaimed the grand magus in surprise.

The pirate chieftain arrived at the dome, roaring with fury as he joined the battle.?In response, Emery summoned forth another creature to the fore. This time, he brought forth a massive, 10-meter-tall ape creature. Its body was encased in dark crystal, giving it an imposing and formidable appearance.

However, Emery wasn't done yet. The portal continued to ripple with energy, and soon, a third creature materialized—a smaller, yet equally intriguing entity. This creature sported a goat-like face, its stature only half the size of a human. Despite its diminutive size, it possessed curved horns and delicate wings on its back, lending it an ethereal and majestic quality. As this young creature spread its wings, it exuded an aura of mystical energy.

With all three creatures now present, Emery strategically retreated to a corner of the dome, allowing the divine beasts to run amok.

These creatures were the three divine beasts that Emery recently acquired:

[Obsidian Tortugo] The tortoise hailed from the depths of a primordial wisp lake where it had dwelled for a thousand years. The creature carried a portion of primordial strength within its ancient being, making it a formidable water beast. With strength compatible with a half-moon magus, Obsidian Tortugon was a force to be reckoned with.

[Dusk Stone Ape] Similar to the tortoise, the Ape shared a comparable origin, possessing a fraction of primordial strength. Its colossal ape-like figure, covered in dark crystal, exuded an imposing aura.

The third creature, [Baphomet], was particularly special. Descended from a demonic lineage, it carried an air of inherent power. Despite not yet matured, the creature was priced three times higher than the other two creatures due to its exceptional potential.

Emery was warned by the sellers that these creatures were too wild and proud to be easily tamed. he originally intended to devour them for his Primal core issue, but witnessing their immense strength, he opted to preserve them for situations that warranted their unique abilities.

As the two grand magus posed a threat, the three divine beasts unleashed their violent natures, ready to fiercely defend against the impending assault.

"URGHH!!! These things would not stop us!!" roared the alligator-faced grand magus.

The [Dusk Stone Ape] and [Obsidian Tortugon] may not have possessed the raw power to match the grand magus, but their robust bodies allowed them to endure the unyielding assault. The [Baphomet], on the other hand, utilized its agility and invisibility to its advantage. Appearing and disappearing at will, it became a formidable nuisance, attacking the grand magus from unexpected angles. The invisible strikes caused confusion, forcing the grand magus to defend against unseen foes.

All three of them were referred to as divine creatures due to the extraordinary power of their cores. These creatures possessed deep spirit pools, allowing them to engage in prolonged battles, and boasted a remarkable regeneration rate. Even when sections of their bodies were obliterated, they swiftly regenerated within seconds, making them formidable opponents.

Growing increasingly agitated, Dongbai couldn't contain his frustration any longer. With a thunderous shout, he bellowed, "FUCKING ANNOYING!!" In a grand display of power, he gestured with his two arms, tapping into the cosmic forces themselves. Flames converged in his palms, culminating in a tier 8 spell taking the form of a massive ring of fire.

"LET'S END THIS!!" The grand magus proclaimed, unleashing the formidable spell with the intent to bring a decisive conclusion to the chaotic confrontation within the Moon Base's training dome.

The spinning ring of fire generated a pulsating force that reverberated throughout the entire training ground, causing cracks to spiderweb across its structure. Recognizing the impending danger, the pirate chieftain hastily withdrawn to the corner of the room, erecting defensive barriers to shield himself.

As the reptilian-featured grand magus released the formidable spell, both the tortoise and the ape charged toward him in an attempt to thwart the impending threat. However, upon direct contact with the unleashed magical onslaught, both creatures were tragically dissipated into ashes. The sheer force of the spell was potent enough to fracture the training ground, causing its ceiling to collapse. Even the Baphomet, a entity inherently resistant to fire, suffered wounds as it collided with the walls. The overwhelming power of the grand magus showcased its destructive strength.

From within the lingering smoke and ashes, Emery swiftly captured the souls of the two fallen divine beasts. With practiced calmness, he employed the [Spirit Devour] technique on both of them. Unbeknownst to the adversaries, this had been Emery's secondary purpose for summoning the divine creatures – to utilize them as a potent source of power during critical moments like the one unfolding.

As Emery appeared from the dissipating ashes, a gradual surge in power coursed through him with each bit of soul he devoured. He stood resolute, readied for the impending final confrontation.
