Yeom Junyeol didn’t appear the day the Bear Clan infiltrated Eungwang High.

Both in PMH and in this world.

What would’ve happened if Yeom Junyeol was around that day?

At that time, the gymnasium where Group 13 took the practical exam, was locked out with an N+ rank boundary.

In terms of that level of rarity, most Eungwang High students could break it down, but the boundary was strengthened by the strength of the royal lineage.

‘But it’s not like Yeom Junyeol can’t pierce through it. He’ll summon Hongryong and everything would work it. He can’t break it as easily as Baekho-gun but…’

What would have happened if Yeom Junyeol had come?

According to Kim Shinrok, other than the Bear Clan, there was another traitor from the 12-point alliance.

Yeom Junyeol is one of the targets of the Black Screen, so he would’ve been eliminated if he got in the way.

‘If Yeom Junyeol and Kim Shinrok were targeted at the same time, then the Dragon and Tiger Clans would join hands. The Black Screen would want to get rid of them at different times but… killing the two of them at once would be better than missing the chance to kill Kim Shinrok.’

So many things went downhill in PMH after Kim Shinrok’s death.

Even if it meant making the Dragon Clan their enemy earlier than scheduled, they’d take the opportunity to get rid of Kim Shinrok still.

Anyone who would’ve fought beside Kim Shinrok would be exterminated, regardless if they were descendants of humans.

‘Yeom Junyeol would’ve been killed first instead of Kim Shinrok.’

If Yeom Junyeol came, the possibility of Group 13 surviving would increase, but he would’ve been put in a very dangerous situation.

The thought of it sent a chill down my spine.

The thought of Yeom Junyeol dying before I came to this world.

“…Jegun hyung?”

Yong Jegun showed little response to Yeom Junyeol’s call.

Yeom Junyeol seemed to be worried that the shaman Hong would be scolded or subjected to Yong Jegun’s mischief.

Yong Jegun smiled, his face hard to fathom.

“Honestly, I heard from Hong too. That that it would rain.”

Kim Shinrok looked surprised at Yong Jegun’s words, while Yeom Junyeol was just relieved.

“Oh, I see you heard it from Shaman Hong too, Jegun hyung.”

“Yeah, I heard that it would rain. So I stayed in the Red Lion team building that day. I was going to hang out with Shinrok-ie after the exam, but I was worried about the rain.”

“Who are you worried about.”

“You, Shinrok-ie.”

Kim Shinrok frowned.

I know he’s worried about Yong Jegun going out on a rainy day, but he doesn’t seem to want to make it obvious.

Kim Shinrok tried to refute, but he stopped talking when he saw Yong Jegun’s playful face.

He seemed to have an ominous hunch and so he shut his mouth.

“What a shame. If you had talked back, I would’ve told you some old stories, Shinrok-ah.”

“…”

“Old stories?”

“Yeah, from when Shinrok-ie was young. I get weaker when I get hit by the rain, so Hwangho-ssi’s stored valuables were—”

“Stop.”

If Yeom Junyeol weren’t around, Kim Shinrok would’ve attacked Yong Jegun by now.

For a moment, I thought I saw some tacks on Kim Shinrok’s hand.

…But I’m curious about what Yong Jegun was about to say.

What did the young Kim Shinrok do to Hwang Jiho’s things?

Baekho-gun said Kim Shinrok was an eventful child, and it doesn’t seem to be an exaggeration.

“You two seem to be really close. Oh…?”

Yeom Junyeol, who was looking at the two with a smile, suddenly tilted his head.

I guess something bothered him about what he just heard.

He looked somewhere far, his mouth dropping open as if he was trying to remember something.

“I… I don’t think you were there when I came back home that day, Jegun hyung. I was about to talk to you about what happened at the school. Uncle Cheongryong told me to talk to you later on because you said you were going to go somewhere.”

Kim Shinrok’s anger visibly died at Yeom Junyeol’s words.

He looked somewhat apologetic, but Yong Jegun looked very happy when he saw the change of expression.

I could guess why Yong Jegun went out that day.

There’s only one reason why Yong Jegun wouldn’t be home that day when Yeom Junyeol returned.

“Shinrok-ie got hurt a lot that day. I went to visit him.”

I remembered the first time I saw Kim Shinrok.

He was so weak that I mistook him for a corpse, and he had little response.

If Shinrok were a human and not a descendant, he would’ve died that day.

I heard that he was injured to the point where he couldn’t walk and that he had to go through a regenerative procedure.

‘It would’ve been impossible to visit him at the hospital though.’

Kim Shinrok lost consciousness and was injured to the point of being unable to walk.

It probably took several days for him to recover, meaning Yong Jegun waited for him all along.

“It wasn’t because Shinrok was unconscious that it was difficult to visit him. It was hard to get permission, but he was admitted to the Hwangmyeong Hospital. I only got to see his face through the window because the Chairman allowed it.”

“Then were you in the hospital the whole time you were out?”

“Yep.”

Kim Shinrok silently listened to the two dragons’ conversation.

Before I knew it, the tacks in his hand were gone, along with any intention to attack his friend.

Kim Shinrok said, almost muttering.

“…I thought you only came on the first day.”

Perhaps Yong Jegun didn’t tell him to not burden Kim Shinrok.

No, maybe he intentionally kept it a secret so he could see this kind of reaction.

Seeing Yong Jegun disgustingly excited while observing Kim Shinrok, I think the latter was closer to the truth.

After that, Yong Jegun took his time making fun of Kim Shinrok while maintaining an informative conversation with Yeom Junyeol.

“Alright, shall we go now? The student association is coming to school tomorrow, right?”

“Yes, I’m thinking of getting up early to go to school.”

The autonomous student organizations will go to school this weekend.

I was gratified by my playable character’s diligence.

In front of the restaurant was an air limousine with the Red Lion team’s emblem waiting.

Before we got on the limousine, Yeom Junyeol talked to me.

“Euishin-ah, if you have time, do you want to have dinner on Saturday or Sunday? Student association work will end at 5 o’clock according to our schedule.”

Yeom Junyeol invited me out for the first time in a while, but I couldn’t respond right away.

I had something to do this weekend.

“I’m sorry, I already have plans.”

“Alright… Then I’ll see you next time.”

Before the air limousine door closed, my eyes briefly met with Yong Jegun who was smiling behind Yeom Junyeol.

He knows what I’ll be doing on the weekend.

‘I should make preparations based on the reports of Yong Jegun and Jeokho.’

I’ll be at the Tigers’ mansion preparing for Christmas based on the Replay reports.

Yong Jegun would be there too, of course.

‘He’ll send me the report before midnight so I’ll have to read that too.’

I couldn’t believe that it’s been less than a day since Yong Jegun went through the replay.

He did his work as a professor like usual, teased Kim Shinrok, and took care of Yeom Junyeol, even inviting us out to dinner.

I felt just how reliable the mischievous dragon was.

“I’ll see you tomorrow then, Jo Euishin-gun.”

“Yes, thank you for walking with me.”

In front of the dormitory.

Kim Shinrok turned his back after a short greeting.

And just like that, I was in my dormitory room, alone.

I forgot to turn on the heater in advance, so my room felt colder than the dormitory hallway.

I hurriedly turned on my device as I felt the cold more when I wasn’t doing anything.

I turned off message notifications during dinner, and my inbox greeted me with several messages.

The first thing that caught my attention was the one sent by the tigers.

[Eun Jaeho] (Photo)

[Eun Jaeho] Thanks for the gift, Euishin hyung!

Eunho’s descendants received the gift of support for their entrance exam.

In the group message room with the descendants, the youngest Eun Haeho sent several photos.

His photography skills made my humble gift look fancy.

It was some school supplies, including a bookmark with a message of support, a silver fork set with a tiger embossed on it, and a bowl.

‘I thought Ok Toyeon would send them rice cakes so I sent them something else.’

The background of the photo showed a box of glutinous rice cakes.

Ok Toyeon seemed to have sent three gift sets of all kinds.

Other than Eun Seoho and Eun Iho who will take the test, Eun Jaeho also has his share.

I did the same thing too.

The descendants sent a picture of them eating rice cakes with the fork that I gave them.

[Eun Seoho] We’ll do well with the exam. Thank you for the gift.

[Eun Iho] We’ll be your number one hoobae, Euishin oppa!

Eunho descendants were already the best even if they don’t do well on the test.

Still, I didn’t have the heart to discourage the kids with unnecessary words, so I decided to reply with more words of encouragement.

The next message was from another tiger.

[Hwang Jiho] I checked your gift for the descendants, Jo Euishin. They’re overjoyed.

[Hwang Jiho] I’m sure the kids already thanked you, but I’ll say it too. Thank you.

The conversation up to that point was normal, but the next messages weren’t.

[Hwang Jiho] But if you’re going to come tomorrow, why don’t you spend the night here?

[Hwang Jiho] Isn’t it more efficient to sleep here than go home and have to come here early the next morning?

[Hwang Jiho] You’re not even reading my messages.

[Hwang Jiho] Are you with Kim Shinrok? You two can come to the mansion together.

Hwang Jiho must’ve tracked our devices during dinner.

But Kim Shinrok won’t be going to the mansion.

Jiikhoe will have a final inspection tomorrow morning in preparation for the entrance exam, so Kim Shinrok would have to be present as the adviser.

Hwang Jiho seemed to have remembered it late.

[Hwang Jiho] No, Kim Shinrok has work to do with the Jiikhoe…

[Hwang Jiho] Jo Euishin, are you coming?

It’s late, so I have no intention to go.

I don’t think I would’ve gone either even if I checked it earlier.

As I tried to close the message window, I heard another notification.

It was a message from Yong Jegun.

A file containing his report.

[Yong Jegun] (Attached file)

[Yong Jegun] See you tomorrow, Euishin-ah.

[Yong Jegun] ^^

The “^^” was unnecessary.

I’m sure the contents of the attached file are heavy, so he must’ve used an emoticon to relieve some of it.

…Considering Yong Jegun’s personality though, maybe that’s not the case.

Maybe he’s just looking forward to my reaction after reading the report.

Whatever Yong Jegun had in mind, I had work to do now that I received the report.

‘There should be clues that Yong Jegun got when I put him through a nightmare. I should check this thoroughly.’

Reading Yong Jegun’s report several times, sunlight reached my dormitory room.
