“The steamed buns I f*cking bought cost more than your tip. Yan Qingsi, are you seriously that stingy?”

Yue Tingfeng wanted to pulverize the coins in his hand.

No sound could be heard on the other side of the door. It was clear that Yan Qingsi was not going to let him in.

“Just you wait. Those buns will cost you more than this, you remember that.”

Yue Tingfeng left angrily after delivering his threat.

As he walked past the trash can, he wanted to throw away the coins. ‘F*ck your tip, do you think I’m poor?’

He violently flung the coins. The coins struck the trash can and bounced out. The sound of metal clattering on tiles carried for a few meters.

Yue Tingfeng smiled cruelly and thought, ‘Who gives a crap about you?’

He entered the elevator but as the elevator door was closing, he shot out his hand to stop it.

The door opened again and Yue Tingfeng stomped out with a dark expression.

He picked up the coins on the floor and pocketed them.

As a good citizen, one should not disrespect the country’s money. It was immoral to do so.

Yue Tingfeng was annoyed. Who did he offend to deserve all the recent bad luck? Did Yan Qingsi put a curse on him?

Yue Tingfeng’s anger was still burning when he got home. He ran into his mother who had just got back from shopping.

Mrs. Yue saw her son and exclaimed, “Son, you look like a ghost! How long have you not slept? What are you doing?”

Yue Tingfeng was in a bad and violent mood. He said coldly, “Used by someone. Got fooled.”

A look of surprise crossed Mrs. Yue ‘s face. “You? Being used and tricked by someone? My god!”

Mrs. Yue found the news incredibly unbelievable. She knew her son well—he was not innocent. He had never been on the receiving end of a ploy but now… How interesting.

“Why? Are you happy?” Yue Tingfeng asked.

Mrs. Yue let out a cough and said, “Keke, of course not… No. You’re okay, right?”

“I’m fine. Was just made a fool by someone.”

Yue Tingfeng really did feel like a fool now.

He already knew that Yan Qingsi had always hated his guts but still, he confidently entered the lion’s maw. How rare of him, what did he do to deserve this.

Mrs. Yue spoke, “Son, it’s alright. At least you weren’t taken advantage of sexually.”

“Ma…”

He wanted to but the other party did not give him the chance.

The anger in him was mostly driven by the lust he was experiencing. Of course, he would never say that out loud. It was too embarrassing.

Mrs. Yue waved her hand. “Okay, okay. I’ll stop talking. You go up and rest now.”

Yue Tingfeng took a few steps up, then paused. He came back down and stared at Mrs. Yue’s neck. “You’re still in contact with Yan Ruke?”

Yue Tingfeng’s eyes were bloodshot. He was giving off a murderous aura as he glared at Mrs. Yue. She trembled under his gaze and her hand went up to the pearl necklace around her neck. “No, really. Ever since you told me to cut ties with her, I stopped entertaining her. It’s just that one day when I ran into her while shopping and she said this necklace suited me. She was adamant about buying me the necklace and I didn’t want to reject her in public, so I accepted it. It’s not very costly anyways.”

The coldness in Yue Tingfeng’s tone brooked no dissent. “Take it off.”
