Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married
-
chapter-581
When Yue Tingfeng took the egg for her, Yan Qingsi’s mind flashed back to that day—the day when Mrs. Yue was stabbed while trying to protect her.
Both incidents happened because they wanted to protect her.
Yan Qingsi could not go on being protected like this. She did not want anyone hurt because of her anymore. She needed to face all her trials and tribulations with courage; even if she could not make it in showbiz, she would hold her chin up high.
Yan Qingsi shot a glare towards the direction where the egg came from. “‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’. I won’t be so forgiving towards those who offend me.”
Yan Qingsi’s eyes promised murder. The reporters were so ruffled that they no longer pressed against her.“Miss Yan, you’re an adult, and adults should be responsible for their own issues,” the female reporter said. “Unrepenting people don’t usually have happy endings.”
Yan Qingsi turned the full force of her glare towards that female reporter. The woman did not dare to squeak another word.
With rage in her eyes, Yan Qingsi spoke into the mike: “This is my attitude. I don’t have anything to apologize for, so I certainly won’t apologize. If the events of that day were to repeat itself, I would do it all again. She can come straight to me if she has the guts to face me.”
The egg slid down from Yue Tingfeng’s hair. He waved a hand towards the security guards; two of them instantly rushed towards the direction from where the egg came from.
Yan Qingsi’s attitude shocked the reporters. They were media people—they saw celebrities on a daily basis, and often captured the secrets of those celebrities.
Affairs, drugs, drunk driving, divorces and so on…
Every single one of the celebrities who had their dirty secrets dug out by their pawing hands would admit their mistakes, sobbing and pleading pathetically. They would lie low afterward.Basically, every single one of them was a good, obedient citizen!
The only exception was Yan Qingsi. Unlike the others, she did not bend even in the face of so many cameras. She was still arrogant, still strutted with all the confidence in the world.
If this sort of people truly did not harbor any regrets in their heart, if… They were the sort who made you want to run a knife through them.
Yue Tingfeng saw that Yan Qingsi was drenched with sweat. Strands of hair were pasted onto her face. “Let’s go,” he whispered. “It’s hot here. Let’s go inside first.”
Yan Qingsi saw half an eggshell still latched onto Yue Tingfeng’s head. The yolk had dribbled all over his hair, and it remained there. She gritted her teeth, her hatred spiking for that egg-throwing b*stard. Whoever they were, she would kill them.
Yan Qingsi bobbed her head, clutching tightly onto Yue Tingfeng’s hand.
The reporters mobbed her again when they realized that Yan Qingsi was leaving. They could not miss such an excellent opportunity.
“Miss Yan, will you still star in ‘The Scent of Her’?”
“Miss Yan, what do you think of the rumors that the film crew plans to fire you?”
“Miss Yan, about you…”
“I won’t answer any of your questions,” Miss Yan said while walking. “I’ve said what I wanted to say. Don’t you dare lecture me. I’ve done nothing wrong. Since you’ve got so much free time to interrogate me, why don’t you go interview the “victim” instead? Let me know what they say, eh?”
More security guards poured out of the hotel. They shoved the reporters aside, escorting Yan Qingsi and Yue Tingfeng inside.
The revolving doors were right in front of them. Then a voice sounded from behind: “Since you won’t answer any of those questions, let me ask something else: Do you admit that you had been sleeping with someone to obtain ‘resources’? Do you admit to having a sugar daddy? It’s hard to imagine a fledgling actress snagging so many high-profile projects otherwise.
“Miss Yan, please answer this! This is every netizen’s most pressing question!”
