chapter-440
Alex activated his Spirit Eyes and checked the monster power level, but he found out that all the monsters were Martial Lord level. So, the Martial King should be enough. He just watched them from afar.
"Sir, you need to come inside as this place will be dangerous." One of the sailors came to him and warned him as Alex was one of their VIP passengers.
"It's alright. Those monsters are weak." Alex shrugged then glanced at a young man that was a bit far from him. However, it seemed he did not have a VIP ticket as he did not see any green card with him.
Alex saw that his cultivation was only 3-Star Martial Lord. It was far more dangerous than him, a 1-Star Martial King, to stay here. "Why don't you ask him to come inside?"
The sailor looked at Alex with a troubled expression. His priority was Alex since he was a VIP, but hearing that question, he might need to ask the other person to go back first. The young man looked at Alex and smiled. Seeing another youth like him having a VIP ticket piqued his interest. He wanted to know about him since it seemed he had piqued Alex's interest. "Hello, Mister. Are you also enjoying the sea?"
Alex shrugged. "Not really."
"Then how about we go-!" Before he finished, he could hear a sound coming from the front.
"Scree!" A bird managed to get past the encirclement and went toward them. The bird was a 5-Star Martial Lord.
The sailor and the young man immediately took their weapon as they were ready to fight this. The sailor shouted, "Sir, please go back inside, I will hold this bird back."
The sailor was knocked away by the bird as he was only a 1-Star Martial Lord. The young man also swung his sword toward the bird, but the bird got the advantage and pushed him back.
After that, the bird charged at Alex."Sir!"
"Mister!"
They thought Alex would die. He was only a Younger Generation like him, but surprisingly, they could not sense his cultivation. So, they thought Alex was only a normal person that hailed from a wealthy family, and he would die if the bird hit him.
Alex yawned as he took out his sword and waved it slowly. Of course, he already reinforced it with his Sword Domain. The bird was cut like butter.
"!!!" They dropped their jaws in surprise. They never thought a person who seemed to be harmless could defeat a 5-Star Martial Lord monster just like that.
It only meant one thing. Alex was far stronger than them. The young man looked at him in disbelief. Although he had seen a few younger generations that were stronger than him, he never saw someone far stronger than him to the point he could not sense his cultivation.
Alex simply said, "Don't worry about me and go back inside. I will just try to enjoy the sea breeze."
The sailor immediately nodded his head and came inside. On the other hand, the young man was in a dilemma. He wanted to know a person this strong but had no courage to do so. Ultimately, he also went inside.
Not long after, the group of fighters came back after killing all the magical beasts. The Martial King immediately noticed Alex's presence as he walked toward him. He was surprised to see a Martial King on this ship, especially the one this young.
"I-!" The Martial King wanted to greet him, but the ship suddenly shook. The Martial King only clasped his hands to him and flew to the air to check the cause.
Alex also activated his Spirit Eyes for this. He did not know why, but he suddenly recalled many scenes in the Stories. When there was an attack like this, the ships usually ended up sinking to the bottom of the ocean as the sea creature would be far stronger than them.
He then would get washed away to the shore on an unmanned island with wounds covering his body before continuing his journey. He shuddered as he also flew to the sky.
He could see two sharks on the bottom of the ocean, and both of them were 3-Star Martial King. He immediately looked at them with a weird expression. He simply took out Leoz's card. "Leoz, kill them."
"Yes."
The Martial King was bewildered as he never expected another Martial King appeared out of nowhere. He saw Leoz suddenly dove to the ocean while covering himself with lightning.
"Thunder Constellation." He tried to bind the two sharks with his thunder. The power of the lightning was so strong that it ended up electrocuting the fishes nearby. Luckily, the ship was made with wood, so it would not get electrocuted together with the fishes.
The sharks also had resistances for this as they were struggling to break free from Leoz's restraints. Leoz was trying to make a distance between the sharks and the ship since the ship was still moving. After they had a certain distance, Leoz raised his big sword and swung it down.
"Thunder Spirit Slash."
It was a very powerful attack as it managed to split the sea a bit and killed both monsters. Leoz then took the two sharks to the boat and said, "Young Master. I have finished the job. The sharks' blood is useful, so I bring them with me."
"Umu, Great job." Alex stored the sharks inside his space ring.
It was at this time, the Martial King came to him and clasped his hand politely. "We would be in danger if you did not help us, Young Master."
"Is the ship fine?" Alex asked, a bit concerned by the fact they were attacked by Martial King sharks.
"Yes. The ship is made very sturdy. Even Martial Kings have a hard time breaking this boat, so the sharks should only make a few holes that should have been repaired by the crews. The ship might take a bit more damage usually before we can fend off the sharks, but thanks to Young Master, the ship is fine."
Alex just raised his hand to stop him and said, "If the ship is destroyed, then it will also become trouble for me. Alright, since I will just rest in my room for the rest of the journey."
"Yes. Rest assured, as this situation rarely occurs."
Alex nodded and came back to his room. He then summoned Jeanne since she was the only one who knew how to dry the blood. Just as Leoz said, the blood was useful as Alex could easily make a rank 5 Array with this.
He sighed. He did not know whether to be disappointed or not after looking at such an anti-climatic scene. He murmured, "Well, I am not a Main Character like them. And those people don't prepare enough like me. They should bring many powerful people together with them before going on a journey."
Alex just shrugged and waited until they arrived at Nilis Continent. The journey took another two weeks, so it was pretty boring for him.
He also asked several questions to a sailor since the information might be useful, considering he would go toward the Northern Continent next year. It seemed that the ocean contained many mysteries.
According to their information, they might even meet Martial Emperor stage monsters in the sea. At that time, they could only pray they would not die from that. They never researched the depth of the ocean, so they never knew what was inside.
Alex thought there might be a powerful monster at the bottom of the ocean. After all, the water pressure there would be crazy. Unless it was a powerful monster or special monsters, they should not be able to live there.
Luckily, they did not meet any of those monsters in this journey. He even wondered whether it was a wise choice turning down Honda Sana's invitation back then.
The other information he got was about Martial King. It seemed Martial King could cross from Willow Continent to Nilis Continent and vice-versa by flying. However, most of them would not do it since it would be tiring, and if they were attacked by sea monsters or flying monsters, they would need to deal with it themselves. They might even become too exhausted to fly after dealing with those monsters.
He knew it was true as this ship was moving at a speed of peak Martial Lords for two weeks before it arrived at the other side. Peak Martial Lord should be able to cross the ocean, albeit barely. The moment they found a monster on their way, it would be their doom.
All in all, they would need a ship for comfort and safety in the journey.
In the middle of their journey, Nelson also informed him of the situation on the continent. All influences in the Nilis Continent were busy searching for him as they wanted to grab the genius.
The situation there was like the calm before the storm. The influences did not attack each other, but they were ready to destroy them for this genius. However, as expected, the Brynhildr Kingdom had suspected him as they sent a few people to investigate Willow Continent.
They were intercepted by Nelson, so they would not know the situation. However, it was just to buy time for Nelson to measure the real worth of the Brynhildr Kingdom before starting his massacre. Of course, he would surely take all their possessions.
He needed to make sure no clue to Alex appeared in the Nilis Continent, especially when the Sacred Continent sent many Martial Emperors to the Nilis Continent as they wanted to possess this genius too.
That was why they wanted to get the genius first and made some connection with him before sending him to the influences in the Sacred Continent. That way, they would receive some kind of benefits.
All in all, the situation was pretty dangerous there as the war might break out at any moment. So, Alex managed to complete his objective.
However, it was futile as Alex already left the continent.
…
After the ship arrived at the port city in Willow Continent, Alex slowly walked out of the ship and flew back to Heavenly Sword Sect. On the other hand, his spirits immediately said goodbye to him and went to the other port city. It seemed to cut the cost of the ship, Anna wanted to take the spirits' cards, except Nelson's and Anya's card as well as her card.
Alex pondered for a moment before giving Anna their cards. Anna's card was with him, so if needed, he could call Anna back and make Anna call them back.
"Alex, I am going first then."
"Yep. I will go there as soon as I finish my training." Alex nodded as he kissed her lips. He also had fun times with her on the ship since they were not going to meet for at least a year.
"My sister is with you, so I don't need to worry. But… her personality is a bit…" Anna looked at him with a complicated expression.
"It's fine. She is unique, just like all of you." Alex said with a smile.
Anna nodded. "That's right. Do you have any specific tasks you want us to do? Like acquiring information or something."
"Well, information about the Blackwade Clan, I guess. I am a bit curious about their current condition, including Senior Sister Song Yu. If possible, try to search about Putri too." Alex said.
"Understood." Anna nodded. "If only I can send a map to you or something, it will be easier to compile the information. Well, I will ask Anya to make an artificial map."
Alex nodded.
"Then, We will go now, Alex." Anna waved her hand as she put on her veil to cover her otherworldly beauty.
Alex also started flying toward the Heavenly Sword Sect again. However, he suddenly met a surprise on his journey.
