chapter-841
"Ha!" All people in the room fell on their butts, excluding Liliana. Alex didn't bother her with killing intent because she was a good-natured one. However, the other two had their break taken away as they somehow leaked themselves.
The other ministers were placing their hands on their necks as if they couldn't breathe while the soldiers fell on their knees, exhausted. The prince also had the same state as the two girls. Not only his clothes, but his pants now had drenched in something.
"What is that?!"
"Your Majesty… That person… That person must have killed more than a hundred thousand people. Since he has left this place, I suggest you don't do anything against him. I am afraid no one can handle him." Bright immediately informed him while stuttering before finding Lilian was alright. "Take a look at her, she didn't receive that killing intent earlier and was perfectly fine because she talked to him earlier.
"I believe he is a person that knows boundaries. If we don't do anything, he won't do anything as well. And the fact that he can control his killing intent to whom he wants to receive, I am not his match. I believe not even the general of the north can take him.""You… You…" The king was speechless. He also had fought many battles in the past, so he could somehow understand what Bright was saying, but they still had their pride.
Liliana gulped down as she had mixed feelings from earlier. She couldn't understand how such a warm person actually did this? Killing more than a hundred thousand people? If he were on Earth, he would already become the most notorious killer, and all countries might have put a bounty on his head.
She couldn't help but mutter. "Who are you really?"
She glanced at the hero, who was still trembling in fear and shook her head.
…
Meanwhile, the person who caused all the ruckus stopped in the middle of the plaza and looked at the maid.
"Uhm… Can I know your name?" Mithra politely asked because she understood how powerful Alex was to make the entire hall tremble."Well, I will ask you again. Are you sure you want to follow me? I only saved you earlier because I find you amusing." Alex asked. He couldn't say he helped her because her previous life helped him, couldn't he?
Mithra looked down and remembered Alex's words back in the castle. She realized that if she tried to go alone after this, the kingdom might pursue her and put her in the trial. In that case, it would be safer to follow him no matter how dangerous he is. At the very least, she might be able to get stronger under him even if she needed to go alone in the future.
After contemplating for two minutes, Mithra's expression turned serious as she looked at Alex's eyes without flinching. She gritted her teeth and bowed her head. "Please let me follow you."
"Follow huh…" Alex patted her head. "Anyway, I am Alexander. Since you have decided to come with me, I will try to train you a little bit. I am not someone who does something half-way."
"Sir Alexander…" Mithra politely greeted him even though her hands were shaking. She knew Alex just saved her, but to calm herself in front of a great person was easier said than done. Even so, she still tried to act like nothing happened as she didn't want to displease Alex.
"Now that we are here, do you know about the currency and any jobs to get any coins? Possibly an instant one?" Alex asked.
"Coins are divided into four: copper coins, silver coins, gold coins, and platinum coins. The latter will always be one hundred times the former. As for the job…" Mithra contemplated hard.
Alex pinched the bridge of his nose, realizing that the coins system was similar to the previous one, so he didn't need to adapt anymore.
"As for the job, I have a perfect one. There is an Adventurer Guild. My father was an adventurer, and he told me about the system there. Unfortunately, Sir can't become an adventurer because you need time to get missions that bring more money. However, there are two more jobs that you can consider… Albeit they are a bit dangerous."
"Oh! Tell me. No one in this world can kill me anyway, so feel free." Alex said nonchalantly.
If this word came from others, she would certainly not believe him. However, Alex just defeated all the people in the throne room with a single glance, nobody could do something like that.
That was why she decided to tell Alex. "The first job is a butcher. They are the ones processing meats for this entire kingdom to go to restaurants. Some meats are delicious, and adventurers sometimes receive a bonus income through this."
"Hmm… A butcher…" Alex thought for a moment. "When was the last time I ate anyway? Never mind, I wonder if there is a dragon in this world? And are they delicious?"
"A dragon?" Mithra opened her mouth in surprise. "They are like a mythical being to us, the one that stood on the pinnacle of this world. The ones that are actually holding up the devil invasion because the portal is said to be opened in the Dragon Valley. I heard it when many people in the castle talked about it."
"I see. That will be my final destination. Still, since they are the ones keeping the balance in this world, I won't kill them." Alex shrugged. "Anyway, what is the other job?"
"It's killing demons of course. It's just like a commissioned adventurer…"
"A mercenary?"
"What is that?" Mithra tilted her head in confusion.
"Never mind." Alex shook his head. "I have no plan in meeting the devils yet. Anyway, we can search for food later while I have water that can flood this entire world, so we are not in dire need of money. I want to ask another thing then. Do you know anything mysterious in this world?"
"I don't know really much about it, but my father often told me stories about the four wonders of this world."
"What are they?"
"The first is the sea that can't be mixed. In the east of this kingdom, there is a two-colored sea that stretches to the horizon as if there is a thin line that is separating them."
"Hmm… Is it the same case as that one?" Alex muttered as he recalled there was a sea like that on Earth. It was in the Gulf of Alaska. The sea can't mix because of the difference in salinity and density. "Still, one of the seas is formed by melting glaciers… In that case, is there any cold island past that?"
"Eh? How do you know? It's rude for me to ask, but Sir came from another world, right? I couldn't realize it earlier because many things were going on at the same time, but now, I can see that Sir is not from here."
"I just know a few basic things." Alex shrugged.
She contemplated for a moment and nodded. "Yes. There is an island made of ice, and it's said to be very cold."
Alex nodded as he had expected earlier. "Still, I don't think there is anything I need in that sea because it's scientific. For a Divine Grade Item, it should cause something magical even if it doesn't have Divine Energy around it… So, what are the other three?"
"There is a boiling lake… The lake never became cold, and the legend said it has the healing ability. Unfortunately, if they are staying too long, they might die as well. And there is a smell lingering around that area. People said it's the smell of rotten egg."
"This time is the Geothermal System, huh…" Alex shook his head in disappointment. "There is a chance for it to be something, but I will go to this place if I am stuck."
Before Mithra could continue, Alex suddenly thought something as he asked his system, 'That's right. Can I call my spirits here?'
[You can try, Host. But the world should be feeling repulsive to the spirits because of their power. If you can't do it fast enough, I am afraid they will be expelled first.]
"That is not good… I was planning to have Jeanne torture the Devil. I wonder if I should go to those devils, bring them to the other world, and question them there?"
[Even though only Foundation Rank or Martial Master can enter this place, I believe they have a Martial Saint if not God Rank Expert standing by, so it's risky.]
"True enough. After getting the Divine Item, they will certainly not let a Martial Master carry it around. They will send God Rank Expert so he/she can protect it until the final destination." Alex pondered the matter and decided. "I will try to solve this myself then."
Seeing Alex glance at her again, she continued, "The third place is the Phoenix Spring. The legend said that phoenix tears could be used as a healing item to the point it can restore limbs. And there is a place where the phoenixes usually bathe. This place is called the Phoenix Spring.
"It contains the fluid of the phoenixes themselves. Legend said that it could heal every wound as long as the person is not dead."
"Hmm, that is certainly interesting. Although I doubt it is the one I am searching for, it doesn't hurt coming to that place. Where is that?"
"Far on the west, there is a nest of phoenixes. The place is hard to reach that even one of the peak warriors in this world failed to reach that place. At the same time, it's heavily guarded by the phoenixes."
Alex smiled. The phoenixes would bow their head the moment he showed his flame, so he didn't need to be scared. "We can go there, but I want to know about the fourth place."
"The last place is the Immortal Cave."
"Immortal Cave?"
"Yes. The legend said that this Immortal Cave could turn someone into an immortal. Of course, it is related to age. If one severs their head, they will still die."
"Alright. Then where is that cave?"
"No one knows."
"What do you mean?"
"Many have been trying to find this place, but none of them succeed in finding it. People believe it's only an urban legend spread by rumor in the past, but some people believe that. My Father believed that as well before he died in his search."
"Ehm… I am sorry for your loss." Alex scratched his head.
"It's fine." Mithra fell silent for a few minutes before opening her mouth again. "My father once said to me that there are two places that might know the answer. The first is the unending desert, while the other one is the phoenix nest."
"Phoenix nest? As in the one on the west?"
"Yes. Though, it's only a rumor."
"Let's go there then." Alex nodded. "This is the most magical thing I have ever heard, so it's a waste to not go there."
"Eh?"
"How far is it from our current place?"
"It's three months by horse."
'I can do it within a few minutes with my Divine Body, but I need to lower my speed because I don't want Mithra to be shredded by the wind pressure alone. Even if I can cover her with the Spiritual Energy, the energy is too thin to handle my speed. It's going to be a week just to go there if I calculate correctly.
'In the past, I became an adventurer first before going to the forest and meeting Alicia there. Should I follow the same route again? Well, I don't think I need to go to the Adventurer Guild, but it's fine to go to a forest.
'I can start training Mithra a bit while comprehending the memory I got from the Golden Lightning. I guess this trip will take two weeks to complete.' Alex thought and glanced at Mithra. "So, are you up for an adventure?"
"Ehm, yes?" Mithra hesitated for a second.
"Let's change your clothes first. And I will train you during this trip." Alex smiled.
"There is a carriage in the west gate if we are going to that place."
"Nope. We are going on foot!"
