Gacha Sovereign
chapter-883

"Yo, we meet again, future me! I have been waiting for you this whole time. Come in. I want to talk about a few important things you need to know."

Alex furrowed his eyebrows, never expecting to see the previous him. He saw him turning back and going back inside. With a bit of suspicion, he climbed the stairs while paying attention to the surroundings with his Spirit Eyes.

"Don't worry. The system won't be able to function here." The previous him assured him.

Alex even became more suspicious about him as he found a table and two chairs sitting in the middle of the building. The top of the building wasn't really that big, so he wasn't surprised by the small room.

He took another look at the previous him using his Spirit Eyes and found out that the guy was only a soul left behind by the previous him. And it was too weak to do anything to him.

"Haha… If I am in your position, I will be suspecting that my previous life soul wants to do something." The previous Alex laughed as if he sensed the Spirit Eyes and glanced at him while smiling. "And the first thing that my own soul wants to do is…"

"Getting inside my body and taking it over." The current Alex and the previous him answered in unison.

"Yep. You are really my reincarnation."

"What do you want to talk about?!" Alex narrowed his eyes.

"Many things, but the main issue is about your… Ehm, this is not right. I also can't say it's my reincarnation. Let's just call it our reincarnation. After all, I am still you even though we are different." The previous him laughed again.

"!!!" Alex's face turned serious when he mentioned the reincarnation part.

"Come on. I know that we are the serious type, but when you have been sitting here for a long time, that type has become boring. I know that you are deep inside an easy-going guy." He shrugged and took the seat before pointing at the chair on the opposite side, asking Alex to sit.

Alex hesitated for a second but still took the seat, staring at him intensely.

"First of all, I need to say this first. The system won't be functional here, and Lin Xingzhi can't listen or watch our conversation."

"Wha—?!" Alex furrowed his eyebrows.

"How do I know about the system? Well, that old man informed me." He smirked. "Anyway, I will call you Alex, and you will call me Alexander to make it easy. And I don't have any intention of using any name that is not mine because this will be the talk between me and me."

Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "I don't have any objections. It is not really that important."

"Well, it's important you know. I have been so lonely here, and when I was living in Eulja, everyone called me Spirit God or Your Majesty. They must want me to forget my own name." He pouted, acting not like his own age.

"I think they were just respecting you…" Alex corrected him.

"I know that, but it is lonely to have no one to call your name, you know." Alexander shrugged.

"I can… relate to that." Alex nodded. "Still, I can't understand why you know the system… Are you…"

"I am not spying on you, of course. Hell, do you want me to spy on you? Ugh, cringy. Maybe, when everyone said f*ck yourself, I can do it in a sense, but let's not go to that topic." Alexander laughed before recalling a certain person. "I learned the system's existence from a person."

"From a person?"

"The previous user of course."

"The Dungeon God?" Alex squinted his eyes, trying to see his expression to know the answer. However, the past Alexander nodded without hesitation.

"I got the system from him and placed them around Eulja. Considering she was trying to search me the moment I died, she would surely find this, the system called Gacha System." Alexander smiled.

"In other words, this was all your arrangement?"

"You can say that." He nodded before finding that the current him didn't have any change in his expression. "You are not angry to know that your life until now has been under the control of someone?"

"Under the control of someone? I don't think so. You can affect my life a little bit, but I believe the Gacha System and the Lightning Tribulation are the only ones. The rests are my life and my decisions."

Alexander nodded before continuing. "Anyway, I want to talk about your reincarnation… And I think I should tell you about this place first…"

"I guess." Alex nodded. He had no knowledge about his current position, so he was quite in a bind.

"This is the Trash Can. Your home is around that direction." Alexander pointed his finger to the right and slightly waved it.

"Home?" Alex tilted his head in confusion before he realized what the previous him talked about. "Earth?"

"Exactly." He nodded with a smile. "No one wants to come to this place, so it's better if I put everything here. So… What do you think? Do you want to go home?"

Alex gulped down. The pain started filling his heart as his feet just wanted to go home, visiting all the regrets he had on Earth, but he couldn't nod. "That was my home. I might visit there in the future, but not at the moment."

"I see." Alexander smiled and approved the answer. He must have recognized another place as his home since he called Earth "was" his home. "Then, I can proceed to my original intention in reincarnating myself a few thousand years after I died."

Alex furrowed his eyebrows and nodded. "The reason must not be so simple. No, the answer is simple, but the preparation is not."

"Yes. You've got it. There are only two reasons, kill the beast and take care of the wives."

"The beast huh…" Alex looked down and stroked his chin. "I have vague information about it since I've got it from the inheritance, but I am afraid I don't know anything about this beast with the amount of information I currently have."

"Yep, it's not enough. Hence, I am going to tell you here right now." He nodded. "The beast is like none other. I don't know about the reason he attacked us, but I know that he wanted to destroy us."

"Where did he come from?"

"I don't know, but probably from another universe. It came to this place from another galaxy, so its strength was very strong. Even I couldn't compete with it."

"His strength?" Alex narrowed his eyes. "Now that you mention it, your strength was supposed to be one of the highest in the universe, right?"

"Galaxy, not universe. I might be strong here, but I might be an ant in another place. And from what I understand, his strength might have surpassed that of a God King."

"Hmm?!" Alex furrowed his eyebrows. "What is the strength beyond God King?"

"I don't know. You tell me." Alexander shrugged. "Though I believe I could still kill him if I had all the other God Kings to fight him. But the beast might have realized that and came prepared. He first sent a weapon that could kill Gods first, giving it to the people on Earth.

"He manipulated those people to do everything possible to create a commotion in our rank. So, we needed to destroy the Earth first, albeit eight of us were killed in the process. The last one beside me died from a sneak attack from the beast."

The current Alex contemplated the matter and found something was missing. "Why did you not participate in that war?"

"I was stopped by father-in-law."

"Father-in-law? Whose father?"

"Lin Xingzhi's."

"The Time God?"

"Yeah. I don't know if you have known this, but there was once a Time Disturbance in the past. As the master of the time in our peers, he went there and learned about the past and the future along with all the possibilities of them. I don't know the concept as well, so I just took it for granted at that time.

"And I still remembered that he wanted me to not participate in the war because my strength was necessary to put a stop to the great destruction in our universe."

Alex squinted his eyes as if he felt something weird in this conversation. He ended up not finding it and continued the topic. "What did he see?"

"Oh come on. You should call him, father-in-law too!"

"What did father-in-law see?" Alex immediately corrected himself, not minding about it. After all, Lin Xingzhi could be considered his wife too, so it was nothing to be embarrassed to admit it.

"He saw me sacrificing myself to the next generation to fix this issue. And I needed to send my reincarnation to five thousand years in the future. In other words, only you could solve this issue."

"Hmm? This is like a hero story…" Alex couldn't help but comment.

"Indeed. But it is only a matter of perspective. I had never once thought that I was a hero, or even in the future. I simply wanted to live peacefully with the girls."

"I agree."

"Hence, I took this mission and sacrificed myself. So, my reincarnation, which is also me, can take care of them in my stead."

"In your stead? Don't joke. You have said it yourself that even though we are different, I am still you. So, you should correct your sentence to: So, the future me can take care of them. It's better."

The 'me' was obviously meant to emphasize that they were the same. It was not reincarnation or anything else. Instead, it was simply an individual called Alexander Sirius.

Alexander couldn't help but smile. "As expected of me."

Alex shrugged and looked away, slightly embarrassed to listen to how the past praised him.

"In any case, I want you to kill that beast for me."

"How?"

"It is to reach the next level, the stage after God King."

"But won't the galaxy expel me? In fact, why did the beast… Wait!"

"Yeah. The beast also restricted his strength to God King. He somehow manipulated it, so the Divine Tribulation couldn't find his strength like the special Space Element."

"Still, I need to pay the price and disappear from this galaxy." Alex narrowed his eyes before shaking his head. "No…"

"Yeah. It is your decision. You can seal your strength once again when that time comes. The question is, when you can reach the next level, will you abandon everything and head to the more powerful galaxy… Probably with everyone else, or…"

Alex fell silent for a few minutes. He took this seriously, but no matter what he thought, there was only one ending and a true answer. "I know when to stop. Why would I risk my life and others' just to get stronger? I get stronger because I want to reunite with my wives, so since I have this power and opportunity to protect them and live in peace, why would I abandon it away because of strength?"

Alexander smiled as if Alex's answer was the same as him.

"Exactly. That was what I believed in when I was alive. The only reason I became a God King was to live peacefully with Lin Xingzhi, Anna, and Anya. Because those fathers-in-law stopped me, I decided to trample their pride by defeating them. Since I had achieved it, I didn't desire more."

Alex nodded in agreement. "I might be an ant in another universe, but if they really come, that will be the only time where I should break my limit and head to a stronger universe. As long as there is no threat that will ruin my family, I will simply live with my family."

"Haha… It's because we are a family guy." He gave a thumb up. "Anyway, you need to kill that beast even if you need to become something stronger than God King stage. This is the only way to solve the impending doom that this universe will face. Failure won't be tolerated."

"I have a question."

"Ask away."

"Why five thousand years?"
