chapter-640
“Qingcheng, is your hand hurting? Let’s get you treated.” Xiao Mingyan glared at her youngest son and Su Qianxun. Lan Qingcheng wheeled her out of the room.
Long Xixing was still unwilling to let it go. He wanted to beat Long Sijue up again. But Long Beiqing entered the room right at that moment and said, “Xixing, you better think things through before doing anything. Don’t allow yourself to be used as a pawn by ill-intentioned people.”
Unamused, Long Xixing glanced at Long Beiqing and said, “I did everything of my own free will. No one is using me.”
He knew what his oldest brother meant. The latter implied that Qingcheng was using him.
He liked her and that was it. What he did had nothing to do with her!Once Long Xixing finished saying that, he left.
Long Beiqing walked in and said apologetically, “Qianxun, I’m sorry that you had to go through that.”
Su Qianxun shook her head and squatted down. She continued to ask the child questions, “Your name is Lin’er, right? Can you let me take a look at you to see if you’re injured?”
Long Lin nodded happily. He grabbed Su Qianxum’s small hand, walked over to the bed and lay down on his belly. He then turned around and pointed to his own waist.
Su Qianxun sensed that there was something odd about Lin’er. She glanced at Long Sijue and Long Beiqing. But she had no time to think about what struck her as odd, and she examined the child’s waist first.
She lifted Long Lin’s shirt and took a look. There was a bruise on his skin. “Should we apply some ointment on him?”
Su Qianxun looked at Long Sijue anxiously.“He’s still young. We can’t just apply any ointment on him. It’s not a serious injury. The bruise will recover on its own. Come on, get up.” Long Sijue walked over and pulled Long Lin up from the bed. He sat the child down on his lap.
Long Lin turned and looked at Su Qianxun. He wanted her to carry him, but Long Sijue stood up right away and said, “I’m taking you to Aunt Gui.”
Long Lin furrowed his eyebrows unhappily. He lay on Long Sijue’s shoulder and kept staring at Su Qianxun with a reluctant, pleading look in his black eyes.
Seeing that, Su Qianxun felt a tightness in her heart. She said, “Young master, let Lin’er hang out here for a while.”
Long Sijue said nothing.
Long Sijue did not reply and simply left with Long Lin in his arms.”Mr. Long, what is going on with Lin’er? I sense that he’s a little…”
“You’re right. Lin’er was born with autism. All these years, my grandfather has been taking him all over the world for treatments and cures. His condition has improved, as you can see now. So far, even though Lin’er is willing to interact with people, he still hasn’t said a word,” Long Beiqing explained briefly.
Hearing what he said, Su Qianxun’s eyes lit up. Her younger brother was also born with autism. He was not as fortunate as Lin’er. Even though the Su family had actively sought out methods of treatment for her younger brother, they were not as determined as Elder Long, who brought the child all over the world for his treatment.
‘Does it mean that it’s possible to cure my younger brother?’ A spark of hope ignited in Su Qianxun’s heart.
“What about Lin’er’s parents?” Su Qianxun asked curiously.
Hearing that question, Long Beiqing cleared his throat uneasily. “About that… you better ask Sijue. It’s better for him to explain things to you himself. I shall leave you alone and let you rest.”
Su Qianxun watched as the man left in a hurry. She furrowed her eyebrows. It was strange. ‘Is Long Lin’s background a secret?’
She lowered her head and thought about it for a moment. An idea flashed across his mind. ‘Long Beiqing’s attitude earlier on… is the boy Long Sijue’s child?’
This thought suddenly sprung up in Su Qianxun’s mind and startled her.
“Miss Su, Elder Long ordered me to bring you a set of clothes. Please change into them.” A maid walked into the room, carrying a set of beautiful new clothes in her hands.
“Thank you, please thank Elder Long for me.” Su Qianxun thanked the maid politely and glanced at her own. It was covered with blood stains.
