He accepted the friend request.

Yan Su sent him the emoji that was a knife with blood on it, along with a message—’Stop talking.’

Mo Liuxi replied with—’I’m sorry, your friend has put you on the blacklist.’

Yan Su was in speechless amazement. Was something wrong with Mo Liuxi? She could still see his posts in WeChat Moments, so of course she wasn’t on his blacklist.

She was starting to understand how Luosang felt sometimes.

After dinner, the theater started screening other films chosen by the film festivals. All were masterpieces, and Li Ming, Ji Nuanyi, and the others in the crew couldn’t wait to see them. Besides, watching the other nominated movies at least gave them a clue about their prospects for winning an award.

After all, winning an award such as the Best Actor would lead an actor to a brighter future. Others in the business would see him for his abilities and talents and open the door for more opportunities. For stars like Ji Nuanyi and Shi Xiang, learning about their competitors was indispensable.

As a singer, Yan Su didn’t care much about competition. “I’m not going with you guys. This is my first time in Venice. I want to go outside to see the city. I’ve already made a date with my assistant.”

“Be careful, then.” Li Ming nodded.

“I’m not going either,” Mo Liuxi said lazily. “I need to do some shopping.”

“For what?” Li Ming furrowed his brows. He dragged Mo Liuxi to the side and said, “Liuxi, you’re a talented, young director. Don’t rest on your laurels. You need to keep learning. Every film nominated at the festival has something that you can learn from. Don’t be too eager to pursue the girl. She won’t run away.”

“You think too much. I need to do some shopping,” said Mo Liuxi seriously. “I won’t miss any other films in the next few days.”

Since Mo Liuxi wasn’t about to change his mind, Li Ming stopped talking.

After Li Ming and the others left, Yan Su stayed where she was, waiting for Jiaojiao. Mo Liuxi was there, too. She glared at him and said, “Why are you following me again? What do you want?”

“Who said I’m following you?” asked Mo Liuxi blandly.

“Why did you stay behind then?” Yan Su was now highly vigilant against him.

“Who are you to me? Why should I tell you?” Mo Liuxi didn’t answer her question.

Yan Su gave a cold smile. How come he didn’t say that earlier in the bathroom?

Thankfully, Jiaojiao arrived, right on cue. Thank goodness! Seeing Yan Su and Mo Liuxi standing together, she paused for a few seconds, then said to Yan Su, “Su, are you guys…”

“Since your assistant is already here, I’m gonna go,” Mo Liuxi said. Then he put his hands in his trousers pockets and left.

Well, that was unexpected! Yan Su was sure he would follow her. Maybe he really did have something else to do.

“I thought he was here keeping you company,” said Jiaojiao, filled with regret.

Yan Su and Jiaojiao spent the next two hours shopping for gifts. There were so many beautiful things and tempting goodies to buy. Apart from Yan Yan, Yan Jin, and her parents, Yan Su also wanted to bring some gifts for Luosang and Apple. She hadn’t seen Luosang for a very long time.

She returned to the hotel at ten pm. After having a video chat with Yan Yan, she took a shower. Coming out of the bathroom, she found a message from Mo Liuxi—’You left something in my room last night. I’ll bring it to you.’

Yan Su spent a short while thinking but failed to recall what she left in his room. Letting a man come to her place in the middle of the night was seriously unsafe, so she quickly replied to him with—’Thank you, but I don’t want it anymore. You can keep it. Also, am I not in your blacklist?’
