Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian
-
chapter-1404
Was Mo Liuxi angry when she sent her those photos?
An Lan sighed helplessly, “My head hurts just thinking about that kid, you don’t know, my parents made me go beg Mr. Nian last year. How could I do that? Mr. Nian told me straight away that my sister took the opportunity when Mo Liuxi was intoxicated with alcohol to… to…”
“What did you say?” Yan Su widened her eyes in disbelief.
An Lan was embarrassed and awkward, “Well… you should know about the two of them, if not you wouldn’t have broken up. I heard my sister sent those photos to you.”
“I know about it, yes,” Yan Su nodded her head, “I didn’t know that An Ning did that to Liuxi when he was drunk…”What a coincidence, she was drunk too when she slept with Mo Liuxi, was it the same for An Ning?
Sounds fishy.
How could the same thing happen twice?
Yan Su thought about it, and she asked with suspicion, “When did they sleep together.”
“I’m not sure about that,” thinking about Mo Liuxi’s character, An Lan was worried that she might say something wrong and she quickly added, “Actually… I can tell that Mo Liuxi likes you, he looked down and out when I bumped into him last year with the Nian family. Between An Ning and him, I don’t think he ever liked her at all. An Ning was terrified at the mention of him as well. She might have done other things as well.”
Yan Su was deep in her thoughts.
She knew that Mo Liuxi didn’t like An Ning back then as well. An Ning was the one who was always pestering her. When she found out that Mo Liuxi had slept with An Ning back then, she had assumed that Mo Liuxi was just pretending to be an earnest nice guy. In reality, he just enjoyed physical intimacy and sleeping with many other women. There are a lot of men like this; after all, people who separate sex and love. But she seemed to have caught onto something now, according to what An Lan had just told her. Something seemed a little off, “Lawyer An, you have no idea where An Ning is now?”
“Yeah,” An Lan grimaced, “I hope that she’s having it a little rough out there, though, so that she can have a chance to turn over a new leaf and reflect on what she has done. That kid hasn’t had it tough before. I’m just worried that her personality will get more and more twisted, and she will commit worse mistakes.”
“She’s a grown-up now, she had to face the consequences of her own choices,” Yan Su could sympathize with the sentiments of an older sister with a disobedient younger sibling.
“Seems like we’ve gotten off track,” An Lan smiled as she flipped through the documents, “We forget the order of matter here. The odds are not in our favor if we only have these documents on hand; the best way would be to prove your abilities in court in comparison to Ye Yunchang. That way, we can show that Yue Yunchang would never be able to write a song like that without your input.”
Yan Su’s eyes lit up, “That’s an angle we could work.”
An Lan nodded her head, “I hope the panel of jury won’t include Xu Bohan, he’s notoriously famous for being inflexible.”
Yan Su was curious.
“Ay, our law firm always loses whenever we bump into him.” An Lan grimaced as she stood up, “It’s getting late, I have another meeting with a client, I won’t take up any more of your time then.”
“Thank you very much then,” Yan Su shook her hands and made sure to see her out. The more she thought about her conversation with An Lan, the weirder she felt.
She decided to call Mo Liuxi, “I just met with An Lan, she told me about what happened with An Ning.”
Mo Liuxi was frozen, his lively spirit was doused with ice water at the mention of that person. He wondered what An Lan had told her, although he was going to come clean with her, he wasn’t quite ready to talk about it yet.
