I Am the Fated Villain
-
chapter-462
“What is this?”
Lin Wu only felt a warmth on his forehead as some inexplicable energy imprinted in his soul. However, he didn’t manage to see clearly what Gu Changge did before the energy disappear. Even his Martial Arts Space didn’t respond at all. This made his heart sink with unease as if life and death were controlled by Gu Changge.
“Relax. I will do as I have promised. I will lift this restriction for you after the matter is done. And, as long as you don’t change your mind, the restriction will not be activated.” Gu Changge smiled, his expression natural and casual. He had no care about Lin Wu’s darkening expression.
Lin Wu was silent. Even though he knew that it was impossible for Gu Changge to fully trust him, in this situation, Lin Wu no chance to refuse. Furthermore, it wasn’t like Lin Wu had zero chance to retaliate.
Gu Changge soon added indifferently, “I’ll give you half a year’s time. During this time, don’t try to undo the restriction. No one in this world can undo it except me anyway. If you still can’t do it after half a year, the restriction will activate, and you will die. Of course, your beloved will also be dragged into this. Don’t think I’m simply just going to kill her. There are thousands of ways to torture a woman. I’m sure you don’t want to see her become the plaything of hundreds of men.” With Lu Luo as his hostage, he wasn’t worried that Lin Wu would disobey his orders.“You bastard!” Lin Wu’s face quickly fell when he heard those words. “You supposed to be the greatest in the Upper Realm, and yet you resort to such vicious and shameless means.”
However, Gu Changge ignored him and went on, ordering someone to send Lin Wu off. As for how to avoid the Upper Realm army and return to Sky Deer City safely, that was Lin Wu’s problem. As a Fortuitous One, he would have to prove himself.
In half a year, the Boundary Marker Sea was expected to have its last waves before it would completely dry up. In other words, the Upper Realm would move all troops to conquer the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains within half a year – at the latest. During this period, Gu Changge planned to arrange the forces under his control.
Those from the Celestial Ancient Continent, Skyward Schloss and Primal Celestial Temple. These forces had all dispatched troops here. The Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains was practically a pot of gold, and it was related to the secret of becoming Immortal. Naturally, he must be the first to seize the opportunity.
[Since the Sky Deer Goddess is in my hand, I will obtain the route past the Aether Abyss sooner or later. The only thing left is to break through the barrier of Sky Deer City.] Gu Changge’s eyes narrowed. He had another plan. He could put some faith into the Goddess about the route she would provide as she wanted to earn his trust.
Afterwards, with a point of his finger, a glow bloomed in front of him with the appearance of a portal. Behind it led to a different world.
The Sky Deer Goddess was a True Daoist after all. Naturally, the place she was being detained was different from that of Lu Luo and the others.Gu Changge took no time to stride into the withered Small World.
It was initially a Small World the Immortal Gu Family looted from the experts they had killed. It was filled with remnants of the bloodshed from the war that took place, where it was looted.
Grey mist flowed under the dimly-lit space. Like objects supporting the sky, twelve terrifying pillars engraved with various ancient runes, including a Dragon, a White Tiger, a Vermilion Bird, a Peng and so on. These details were large enough they could be seen from a distance. On these pillars were chains made of bright Immortal Black Iron, so thick they could restrain even a True Daoist.
When Gu Changge showed up, many experts in charge of guarding opened their mouths to greet him, their expressions respectful. “Greetings, Young Master Gu!”
A True Daoist from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains was currently being imprisoned here. They didn’t know much, but they knew that this powerful True Daoist was taken down by Gu Changge himself. For him to possess such a terrifying power at such a young age was something to be proud of. There was most likely no one comparable to him no matter the past or the present.
Gu Changge nodded in response. He then stepped forward and crossed over to the area where one of the pillars was located. “I’ll take over from here. Everyone can leave.”
A beautiful woman dressed in white was sitting there cross-legged with her hands and feet bound by the Immortal Black Iron. She was tall, and she had black hair that fell like waterfall. Her white clothes as clean and untainted as snow. Her beauty was like an ethereal dream as rays of light surged around her body.
As if sensing Gu Changge’s arrival, she abruptly opened her beautiful eyes. A vast white mist rushed out of them the next moment. The white mist was a series of terrifying runes which contained the most brilliant divine light that could annihilated the void. It was as if the universe would tear and collapse because of this.
It was a terrifying ability. If this world collapsed, it would take Gu Changge with it. Despite that, all Gu Changge did was raise a hand. Suddenly, streaks of scarlet that looked like smoke signal burst out, piercing through heaven and earth; they were like a Heavenly Sword that swung and cancelled out her attack.
“You have been possessed,” Gu Changge commented with an odd look in his eyes as he walked over to the woman. However, the Sky Deer Goddess didn’t seem to hear him, and she only continued launching attack after attack. Seeing this, Gu Changge stretched out his palm. As if he had a universe in it, the vast Chaos Qi spread out and suppressed everything it touched.
The Goddess’ eyes looked disoriented. She looked like she was stuck in a certain state as she instinctively released her power. Despite not being fully conscious, she was still extremely powerful. As a True Daoist, she stood out from everyone else, and she didn’t have a lot of enemies. Her strength could be seen with how it was hard to suppress her even with the Runes, Arrays and Immortal Black Iron chains.
Following Gu Changge’s counterattack to suppress the blast from her, she began to glow like jade. Every inch of her skin seemed to permeate a delicate fragrance. Her long and slender torso then swayed and lay horizontally. With her hair loose, she looked extremely seductive.
The Sky Deer Goddess had fallen into a strange state, not being fully conscious. Even though her eyes were on Gu Changge, she looked as though she was looking at someone she didn’t know.
She was glowing all over, and there was a delicate fragrance permeating the air. This fragrance held some kind of energy that was breath-taking, and a little seductive. She didn’t usually let it out. Nevertheless, she was absolutely tantalising now.
Gu Changge felt an inexplicable energy invade his consciousness. Her charming appearance was enough to make hearts waver. However, his gaze didn’t change much when he carefully sized the Goddess several times before finally confirming something.
[Su Qingge possessed the Mysterious Yin Physique – a rare type of Tempering Physique. The Sky Deer Goddess also has a rare Physique but from what just happened, it seemed similar to the Mysterious Yin Physique.]
The Goddess’ strong physique must be deeply influenced by her high cultivation level. It obviously far surpassed Su Qingge’s. If this situation happened at any other places, it would definitely cause a tragedy to spread across a million kilometres.
The frightening thing about this kind of physique was that it made them so charming that it would even hurt the one who possessed the physique themselves. Their hearts might start to burn, and their souls might turn into ashes as they quietly died.
Gu Changge’s eyes turned a little strange when he thought about this. He launched another counterattack again before he stepped forward.
Like an unceasing heavy rain falling from the sky, runes fell one after another, suppressing the energy the Sky Deer Goddess was releasing.
The Goddess seemed to have noticed his actions as the confusion in her eyes soon dissipated, and she began to suppress her surging energy herself. Not long after, her eyes regained clarity. She looked at Gu Changge in front of her, and then looked at her current posture. She then gently brushed the hair in front of her forehead without a hint of bashfulness. However, just this minor movement of hers was extremely seductive.
Hair as smooth and soft as silk, she parted her red lips and said to Gu Changge, “Thank you for earlier.”
“You’re welcome,” the man replied with a smile. His expression didn’t change this whole time. “I was the one who got to enjoy this view.”
“Young Master Gu,” she looked at his face, “you earn my respect for being able to stay calm in both body and mind.”
She was aware of her unique constitution. At a time like this, even a True Daoist could hardly remain calm. Yet, Gu Changge, who was in the First-Order Quasi-Nirvana Realm, remained unaffected. This had nothing to do with his cultivation level. It was just a matter of his nature and state of mind. She even couldn’t help wondering if Gu Changge’s heart was made of stone, which was why he could remain indifferent.
Upon hearing that, Gu Changge shook his head slightly. “It’s nothing. I was only worried about your trap.”
For some reason, the Goddess’ expression stiffened as a frown appeared. “I didn’t know you were this distrustful.”
It was impossible for her to break free as her hands and feet were still bound by the Immortal Black Iron chains. She couldn’t possibly hurt Gu Changge, let alone when she was not even his opponent at her peak.
“Better safe than sorry. Who would know if I accidentally died in your hands?” Smiling, he nonchalantly hummed while he shook his head. He wanted to take this opportunity to see if he could get more information about the Aether Abyss from her, which was why he was trying to sound her out right now. Moreover, Sky Deer City was one of the oldest cities in the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains. He refused to believe that the Goddess who protected the city didn’t have any other tricks up her sleeve. Thus, it was fair for him to have his guard up.
Sky Deer Goddess sighed before she suddenly smiled. There was provocation on her beautiful dreamlike face. “What about me do you worry about? Why are you being so cautious, Young Master Gu? Is it my identity or my ability? How can I prove to you that I can be trusted when I am locked up here?”
As she asked one question after another with her eyes on Gu Changge’s face, there was a kind of demonic nature in her body that felt completely different from the holy and detached one at the beginning.
Instead of answering her questions, he smiled and brought up the Aether Abyss. “That’s easy. Just tell me the route to pass through the Aether Abyss.”
However, the Goddess seemed to have long expected his request, and she said, “I can do that, but it is useless to tell you the route. You must take me there in person to know it.” As if worried that Gu Changge would grow suspicious, she continued, “I say this because the Aether Abyss changes every second, and the route is not always the same. You need a guide every time you pass through there. You will get lost in it forever unless those from your realm can find the correct route.”
[A guide…] Gu Changge frowned and glanced at her as he weighed the truth of her words. However, it was difficult to judge the authenticity when she just kept staring at him with her beautiful and alluring eyes.
In the past, it indeed took a lot of time to deduce the correct route when the Upper Realm invaded the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains and crossed the Aether Abyss. However, the route could only be taken once. It would change the second time. Even those from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains had to go through the troublesome process of receiving special guidance when they returned to Sky Deer City.
“I can’t help it if you don’t believe me, Young Master Gu.” The Goddess nodded slightly as she sighed. Her current temperament was completely different from before. She now had a demonic nature, yet her consciousness was clear and orderly. It was hard to find any flaws in her well-founded words.
Gu Changge stared at her again, his eyes lit up as scenes of reincarnation emerged. The world seemed foggy when an inexplicable energy descended.
“In other words, I need you to cross over the Aether Abyss,” he concluded. His face became blurred and radiant as if a river flowing through the heavens emerged from the dark, and the shower of light pouring out of it put the Great Dao of the world in disorder.
The Goddess frowned when she saw this. “Principles from the River of Time. I’m surprised you have reached this level.” She then hid nothing as she let Gu Changge freely feel her out.
She knew that this was one of Gu Changge’s mysterious abilitues. It was extremely profound as he could find the traces between heaven and earth. Of course, that included all causes and effects. Based on these things, Gu Changge could easily judge whether her words were true or not. In that instant, Principles of this place and the energy of many worlds blurred. Many images appeared in Gu Changge’s eyes, as if they were connected to that mysterious river.
As his frown deepened, all the brilliance in his eyes disappeared.
“I’m not lying to you,” the Goddess added. Knowing that Gu Changge hadn’t found anything, she calmed down, leaving only a faint smile on her face. It was as if she had expected it long ago.
“Your words earlier are true.” Gu Changge’s frown relaxed. He then stretched out a palm quickly, and a misty sword-like beam appeared. With a click, the restriction on the Immortal Black Iron was removed, and the chains fell from her hands and feet.
Sky Deer Goddess was taken aback when she saw Gu Changge so resolutely remove the chain. She didn’t think he would release her so quickly.
“Do you believe me now?” she asked.
He shook his head in response, and with a strange glow in his eyes, he gave a reply that didn’t particularly answer her question. “It seems that I’ll have to let you lead the way through the Aether Abyss. But we are not going right now.”
