I Hate Systems
-
chapter-1072
"How the heck did you claim Space?"
Hearing Magister's shout of shock, Ahjar revealed a gleeful smirk, boasting calmly, "You know, even back in the day, I was called a heaven-defying prodigy. It's only natural that the concept of Space is apt…"
"Cut the bullshit!" Magister glared at Ahjar as he extended his cane, intending to attack the latter, "I'll kill you if you dare mess with me, blasted System!"
"Hey, HEY, hei!" Ahjar acted like a third-rate delinquent as he skipped over the void and appeared before Magister, looking down on the latter, "So what if I mess with you? What will you do? Bite me? You?"
He sneered, "You mocked me by calling me a System. But weren't you a helpless Host to one until now? Man, that was such a pitiful sight.""The grand Magister reduced to a mere System Host."
Boom!
Millions of magic circles flared up as all sorts of magical abilities were activated. Space cracked as violent energy storms invaded through all means.
Ahjar observed the fabric of reality being ripped apart by the attacks, destroying the parallel dimensions he created to hide within, forcing him to return to reality. But a moment later, all the damage was strangely erased from existence, as if it had never happened. The fabric of reality too returned to its original state.
"I think it's for the best if the two of you stop fighting." Compass Carburettor spoke calmly, having used the power of Dreamcraft to mend the damage. Even though he was calm, Lore and Tell-Tale were churning at full strength within him, displaying his intent to destroy the two if they got on his nerves.
He stared at Magister and let out a smile, "I believe you have something to say to me?"
"I have nothing to say," Magister calmed down and shrugged casually, "All your beef was with the previous Magister. That person is dead. I'm the replacement.""Rather convenient, right?" Compass Carburettor chuckled.
"Of course," Magister grinned, "Why don't we start with a clean slate?"
"Sure, I don't mind." Compass Carburettor extended his hand for a shake, "We both wish to destroy the Systems. So, let's not distract ourselves until our work is done."
'This bitch, I didn't forget your attack on Stencil. I'll destroy you once we're done with the Systems.' Compass Carburettor let out a 'genuine' smile as he shook hands with Magister.
From the side, Ahjar stared at Compass Carburettor's expression, thinking while sweating internally, 'Yup, he's signed Magister's death warrant.'
'Well, let's not worry about something like that. I need to find a safe haven to escape his sight later.' Ahjar had his own plans. Of course, he wished to survive.
"Anyway," Magister stared at Ahjar, "Thanks to your actions, the Representative System regressed to Grade 3 status, which helped me to break free of its control."
"I know I'm awesome. You don't need to lick my ass." Ahjar waved his hand casually, pissing Magister off as the two entered a glaring contest immediately.
'This guy…' Compass Carburettor frowned as he stared at Ahjar, 'When I was first brought to the System World, he was damn arrogant. I was like an ant to him back then. When I met him again as the Main Character System, he behaved meekly, because by then, I had enough power to destroy the Money-Making System. And in Faith Grounds, he behaved as my staunchest ally as if to win my favour.'
'Now,' He observed Ahjar's interaction with Magister, 'Since he's become the Concept Representative of Space, he's cocky. But, he's still listening to me because we have a common goal.'
Compass Carburettor concluded Ahjar's character. To survive, when in a predicament, Ahjar would throw away morality, pride, and anything else he possessed. And when he has a superior position, he'll flaunt his arrogance to the extreme.
Most of all, he wouldn't even feel an ounce of shame in either situation. 'Truly, he's the embodiment of an unscrupulous merchant.'
But, it also allowed Compass Carburettor to determine one thing. As long as he was strong enough, Ahjar wouldn't become his enemy. It was a reassuring trait.
Of course, that could never be said for Magister. A Genre Representative could never be counted upon, especially since it was possible to influence them and make them sit on the fence, which was what the Systems relied upon to grow all along.
The moment a Genre Representative intended to deal with them, the Systems rapidly poured in resources to strengthen the foundation of a world whose collective consciousness contradicted the Genre Representative's controlling collective consciousness. It caused a clash between the two and at times, the latter even dominated.
This way, the Genre Representative never acted against the Systems. It was thanks to this genius technique that the Systems developed to become such a powerful hegemony.
Of course, it was also possible only because of the resources they gathered. It was this financial flex that allowed them to play a game of chess with the Genre Representatives and emerge victorious in the end.
Even if Compass Carburettor were to ally with Magister, the Systems could easily use the same method to render Magister useless or even turn Magister against him.
First, the Systems were way stronger at present. Second, Magister wasn't as strong as in his past, having been significantly weakened after unleashing his Genre Representation twice and getting deprived of all strength once he became a System Host.
'In the end, Magister cannot be counted upon. In that line of thought, no Genre Representative can be a true ally.' Compass Carburettor sighed, 'Only Concept Representatives have enough individual freedom to face the Systems. Unfortunately, there's just me and Ahjar among us.'
'I hope Hazen surprises me.' Thinking as such, he focused on the Compass Carburettor fragment that accompanied Hazen, smiling upon sensing the changes there.
He stared at Ahjar and Magister, "Let's go meet our final member. He's done with his preparations."
"Let me transport us," Saying so, Ahjar snapped his finger, surprising Compass Carburettor and Magister when they appeared next to Hazen. There wasn't even a flicker of energy. It was done in absolute silence.
"Space…" Magister muttered solemnly before he directed his gaze towards Hazen, observing the energy circulating with the latter in shock, "Wait, this energy…"
"It can naturally eliminate the Systems?" Magister approached Hazen and asked with a heated gaze, "What is it called?"
"This…?" Hazen condensed a sphere of energy on the palm of his hand as he let out a calm exhalation, having just consumed the Cultivation World, "Enema."
"The energy cultivated for the sole purpose of eliminating Systems."
