Chapter 331: True Form Of Systems
"Yes, let's exact your revenge now." Shyvern smiled, thinking, 'The moment the two of them make eye contact is when everything would happen. His mind would be shattered…slowly.'
Right at this time, Grisha appeared behind him, carrying Anthozoa as she aimed it at the back of his head. From where she arrived, the tip of the gun almost touched his head.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Instantly, she unloaded all three bullets as Shyvern's body collapsed to the ground, his expression one of shock, unmoving.Grisha stared at the scene, shocked, for there was no more response from Shyvern anymore. Condensing a portal, Compass Carburettor too arrived, observing that Shyvern was dead.
Nothing unexpected had happened as his body simply began to collapse into smoke while four lights danced in the air, fighting against one another, clashing, colliding, tearing up into each other like worms.
Reality Marble!
Compass Carburettor created a scenery to prevent them from escaping eventually while he gazed at Chenger, 'So, this is the real Chenger.'
Even though he had known about it before, he couldn't do anything. After all, Villain Maker was a troublesome System in that it was capable of creating villains. And the most horrifying aspect of it was…
"Eei!" Shouting in response, Chenger condensed a sword as her figure flashed, leaving a trail of acidic marks in the air as a gash formed on the Body Layer covering him.
Upon seeing that the portion of Body Layer that came into contact with it was being corroded, he was surprised, 'A rapid explosiveness of strength, a corrosive acid that was derived from the torture that she had suffered and a twisted mind that would corrupt everyone she comes into contact with.'This was what Chenger had been turned into thanks to Shyvern's machinations. A true villain, one who was the most knowledgeable about Rhizen and now lived to seek vengeance against him.
"My Lord! Enemies inbound!" Just as he planned to do something about her, Gana's shout alerted him. All along, her goal was to remain in the Dimensional Space, observe their enemies and relay their movements to him.
The moment three Systems were abruptly disconnected from the Astral Network, the rest of the Systems would of course be alerted. So, they alerted their respective Hosts that took action immediately.
Since they had placed markers everywhere that would detect his location, they were rushing towards him now. And judging based on the urgency in her tone, they were probably teleporting towards his location.
As she was observing them through the portal, she was able to alert him.
Currently, Compass Carburettor had less than a second to take action as he sent Grisha into the Dimensional Space while Gana condensed a portal to their escape location, appearing there.
As for him, he could only infuse System Punishment into his energy blade hand and use it to grab hold of the four System Bodies and hurriedly enter a portal that led him to Gana's location.
When he tried to grab Chenger, she exploded with tremendous corrosive mist that actually corroded his energy blade hand. If he had a couple more seconds, he could have easily captured her.
But in his hurry, he wasn't able to, leaping into the portal as his figure vanished.
And right at this time, Straxia arrived within the crumbling Reality Marble, frowning as she gazed at Chenger before slowly breaking into a smile, "As I expected, Shyvern completed his task."
She wasn't even the slightest bit concerned about losing four System Hosts at the same time. Her thoughts were hard to read, even for Ianon. This was also why Compass Carburettor didn't target her.
There were too many risks involved, especially since he was trying out this new mode of dealing with Systems the first time. And against an opponent like Straxia, the chances of failure were high.
So, he took the safer route, targeting Shyvern instead. Though, the greater reason was to save Chenger and turn her into a Beyonder. That way, he would be able to protect Rhizen better and deal with the rest of the troublesome System Hosts.
Unfortunately for him, Straxia proved more troublesome than he had expected.
Since Gana was observing her all along through the point of view of a System Host next to her, she relayed the information to him once they reached safety.
"When the three System Hosts were killed, Straxia seemed like she had noticed their location already. But, she didn't seem bothered. And, right after Shyvern was shot with the three bullets, she immediately teleported to this location."
"I see, so her target was Chenger. She wanted to pry her out of Shyvern's control." Compass Carburettor nodded, watching Gana return to the habitat of the horned men while Grisha stayed next to him, protecting him as he began to deal with the four Systems that he had absorbed through Anthozoa.
Arriving at the mind space, he looked around, noticing that it was the same as usual. But this time, he observed the ground, noticing that he was indeed walking atop the void, acting like the ground existed.
He then gazed at the swirling mixture before him, one where the four Systems were broiling into. They were fusing, breaking apart, tearing into each other, and trying to escape. All actions happened simultaneously as Compass Carburettor was surprised, noticing that faint memories flowed into his mind.
He watched the chaos, leaving his enemies to deal with themselves, focusing on the memories he was getting.
"Mechanic System…" He muttered the information that flowed into his mind, swerving to his right as he saw the figure of a massive wrench with hundreds of hands attached to it appeared. It silently stared at him, like a statue, vanishing after that.
No, it didn't vanish. It just sunk into the depths of the void. 'What exactly does this mean?'
He frowned, because he had no relation to such a System. He neither faced it in reality nor read a webnovel where it was a part of. So, it made no sense.
"No, wait…just now…" He was shocked, his face trembling as he finally understood just what was confusing him all along.
"Mental Energy…I see, so that's the true form…"
"Of Systems!"
