Chapter 479 The Academy
"Allow me to give a grand tour to everyone." Compass Carburettor said, controlling himself from fainting due to exhaustion. After all, he had been working nonstop for more than a week with little to no rest.
"At present, they are all empty, but the goal is for the students to open their own shops here." Compass Carburettor said, pointing at the various shops that he had created in a style similar to a shopping mall.
"It's like a Sect." The Blazing Sun Clan Leader commented.
"Indeed, but there's one major difference." Compass Carburettor smiled, pointing at the slogan that was written in bold on pillars erected throughout the Academy City.[For five years, embolden your mind and spirit to resist the tribulation]
"Five years…?"
The leaders muttered at the same time.
"Yes," Compass Carburettor nodded, "Irrespective of how talented they are, they would only be students for five years. Beyond that, they wouldn't be able to use the facilities of the Academy. We'll call this the graduation."
"And, graduates would return to their respective Clan or Sect." Compass Carburettor said, "The goal of the Academy is like I said, to resist the Evil Spirits. So, the system placed here ensures the Academy doesn't interfere with the politics of the Gaider Realm."
"Impressive." The Blazing Sun Clan Leader spoke first. This was a show of appreciation outwardly, but inwardly, this was also to deter the other leaders from hindering Compass Carburettor.
After all, through that one interaction with Velcorn, he had understood the threat of the Evil Spirits clearly. He had been alive for more than a century, after all. There was plenty that he had experienced as being part of the strongest force of the Gaider Realm."As for the curriculum taught here, it would be perfect throughout the ages." Compass Carburettor said, leading them to walk in-between the legs of the giant statue, for that was the entrance into the academy.
They immediately arrived within a lounge, a dome that spanned a radius of thirty metres. It was pretty massive for just a lounge.
The moment they entered, an Earth Grade Silver Golem arrived before everyone, introducing itself, "I'll be the one to instruct everyone in the basics of detecting Evil Spirits."
"This is…?" Even the Blazing Sun Clan Leader was surprised at this development. Until now, he had only thought that Compass Carburettor was controlling the golems. Never in his wildest dream would he ever imagine that they would converse normally.
Of course, the golems had this capability but had never used them due to their nature. They had a mind, but no intelligence.
But with his intervention, he planted a lot of memories in them that would trigger them to behave in a certain way, planting a Sleeper Sell seed in each accordingly to their tasks.
The Sleeper Cell seeds were each a fragment of his mind. So, they would slowly grow in their minds and birth a base level of intelligence and sentience in them.
And over time, their intelligence would grow to a decent level. Until then, they would be like robots with good artificial intelligence.
The Bronze Golems were in charge of security, with the Trash, Human, and Earth variants split accordingly to the importance of the location.
The Silver Golems were in charge of teaching. Trash Grade Silver Golems were only in charge of teaching basic drills and knowledge while the Earth Grade Silver Golems were the cream of the crop, teaching them everything they needed to know about Systems and the ways to defeat them.
If a System Host was killed, the System would condense itself above the corpse. Normally, it would find another Host to take root within before it dissipated. But, if there were no living beings in its vicinity, it would be helpless and would dissipate over time.
Compass Carburettor used his experience in the rate of dissipation of various Hatchling Systems to create a formula that would determine the amount of time a certain System could exist as.
As for determining their level, he planned to use some of the Double-Faced Monkeys to create the necessary Artifacts.
Grisha's Mysterious Sect had a pretty talented Artifact Refiner that would prove helpful in this endeavour. Though, it needed to wait until some of the Double-Faced monkeys grew old enough with a potent version of the Mind Attribute.
The Gold Golems were part of the management, basically allotting classes for the students, creating entrance exams, constructing new centres, if necessary, etc.
Finally, there were the Platinum Golems that were in charge of the treasury. Of course, the Academy functioned on a basis of donation. So, all the donated resources had to be stored and managed.
They were also in charge of taking care of the Double-Faced Monkeys and collecting any necessary resources.
There were still many things left for Compass Carburettor to work out in the Academy. One of them would be to ensure the Clans and Sects continued their donations year after year and were willing to do so.
There should be enough benefits for them to do so. That means, he should make the Academy into a place that would turn the cultivators into geniuses. He had some plans regarding that, but they needed time to be executed.
He planned to continue that once this basic tour ended. The goal of this tour was just to awe the leaders so that they would be enthusiastic about sponsoring the Academy and also advertising it so that as many people from the Gaider Realm would be willing to join.
Both were necessary for him to execute his plans. After all, most of the System Hosts would only begin their attack once they reach peak cultivation. So before then, he had to lay down a strong enough groundwork to churn out geniuses capable enough to resist the invasions one after another.
And, the first step of it would be the Blood Vitality Pills that he planned to create next. These pills would become a product exclusive to the Academy, one that strengthened their physique.
Just this alone would motivate them to join the Academy. As long as he created three to four such reasons, the Academy would become a successful endeavour.
