Ye Zhi was a little frightened by the accident just now. Even though she had pulled back Gu Ren, her hand still held Gu Ren’s clothes tightly.

Gu Ren could feel his clothes being pulled tightly even though he was now fine.

Although Gu Ren was wearing a blindfold, he turned his head accurately towards her. If it weren’t for the blindfold, Ye Zhi would have thought that Gu Ren was looking right at her.

Ye Zhi watched as Gu Ren stretched out his hand. Because he couldn’t see, his slender hand gently touched her shoulder and then her head.

Ye Zhi could see corners of his mouth curling upward.

“Ye Zhi, don’t worry.”

Gu Ren’s action was very sudden, leaving Ye Zhi stunned for a moment. She didn’t even know how to reply. She looked at Gu Ren and noticed that his lower half of the face was covered with the moonlight.

Gu Ren’s hand was still on Ye Zhi’s head, showing intimacy and care.

Ye Zhi’s eyes were still on Gu Ren but she couldn’t bring herself to speak. Before Ye Zhi could react, Gu Ren had already taken off his blindfold.

When the blindfold was removed and Gu Ren’s dark eyes were exposed, Ye Zhi immediately looked away with some shyness.

Soon, Ye Zhi realized that her hand was still holding Gu Ren’s clothes. She quickly let go and put her hands behind her back, as if nothing had happened.

Gu Ren didn’t see Ye Zhi’s small movements and there was a trace of inquiry in his eyes: “You seem to be quite skilled in volunteering.”

Ye Zhi was inexplicably flustered by Gu Ren’s look: “Taking care of people is something everyone can do, right? Others can also do it.”

Gu Ren didn’t seem to agree with Ye Zhi, but he did not refute her either.

“We are lacking an actress for the volunteer role, do you want to join?”

Ye Zhi was stunned: “Me?”

Gu Ren said with a smile: “Just joking.”

Gu Ren pointed to the clock on the wall and said, “It’s getting late. I’ve taken up too much of your time.”

“You should go to bed.”

After Ye Zhi returned to her room, Gu Ren turned around and returned to his room.

When Gu Ren closed the door, he let out a sigh of relief. He was nervous and afraid of exposing himself.

Even though what he did now was obvious. There was no volunteer role in the script at all. He just made it up.

Fortunately, Ye Zhi didn’t see the script, otherwise, Ye Zhi might have discovered that he was lying just now.

When Gu Ren thought of Ye Zhi skillfully and patiently accompanying him around the entire living room while explaining everything, the corners of his lips could not help but turn upward.

His dark eyes, like cold jade, seemed to be ignited like burning stars, and all his expectations seemed to come true on this day.

Gu Ren’s rejoicing did not last long. When Gu Ren went to the event, the script of his new movie was left on his desk in the study.

Ye Zhi happened to be looking for Gu Ren for something. She went to bed very late last night because of insomnia, so she woke up late in the morning.

Also, Gu Ren had forgotten to tell Ye Zhi that he had an event to attend today.

After getting up and having breakfast, she went straight to Gu Ren’s study. Ye Zhi wanted to talk about the content of Gu Ren’s new play.

Ye Zhi knocked on the door of Gu Ren’s study. Even after knocking several times, no one responded so Ye Zhi opened the door.

The study was empty.

Just as Ye Zhi was about to close the door and leave, her gaze suddenly swept over something on the table. It was the script for Gu Ren’s new movie.
