As Illness was walking down the corridor in Kaito’s home, Nebula flew over to her.

[Illness-san, Milord has a visitor.]

[That seeeeeems to be the caaaaase. Should I prepaaaaare drinks for theeeeem?]

[Yes. Milord said that the visitor’s name was Rosemary-san, do you know her?]

[She’s oooooone of the Seven Princesseeees, so you could say I know heeeeer, but I haven’t really met heeeeer, so I don’t know what she liiiiiiikes. I think it would be beeeeest to prepare something with a safe taaaaaaste.]

Illness had also detected the presence of a visitor by their magic power, and she was currently on her way to the kitchen. As she and Nebula walked to the kitchen, they continued their conversation.

[It’s just a guess from the atmosphere around her, but it seems like she’s here to thank Milord.]

[I seeeee~~ In that caaaaase, it would be betteeeeer to bring the teacakes a little lateeeeer.]

[I suppose. There’s a possibility that the other party may have brought something, so it would be safer to do that. Also, she seemed to like flowers.]

[That meaaaaaans they should be on the terraaaaaace?]

As they entered the kitchen, Illness picked up the can of tea leaves and began preparing the hot water. At about the same time, Nebula walked towards the shelf where the cups were lined up, looking as if she was considering which ones to use about it for a moment.

[Yes. Since they would be sitting on the terrace, they should be under the shade for a while due to the sun, so I guess cups with brighter colors would be better.]

[I suppooooooose, it seemed like they would have a private conversatioooooon, so one with fun desiiiiigns would be great.]

[In that case…… These ones should do.]

[As expected of Nebulaaaa~~ You’ve chosen good oooooones.]

Looking at the cup Nebula brought out and praising her great sense of taste in matching her choice with the place and time, Illness looked as if she suddenly remembered something, as she opened another shelf and took out a small bottle.

[Since we’re at iiiiiit, let’s prepare the “suuuuuugar that Nebula made” befooooore.]

[Ahh, that sounds great. Those sugars are also in the shape of flower petals, so I think they’ll be happy with them.]

While chatting happily and amicably, they finished preparing the tea in no time at all, Nebula bid Illness goodbye as she pushed the cart out of the kitchen.

While guiding Rosemary-san to a terrace overlooking the garden, we exchanged a few words. Rather, it seemed like Rosemary-san was also enjoying the conversation as she brought up one topic after another.

[Your garden is amazing, Kaito-kun. T- They must have been being taken care of by a very skilled gardener. The flowers in the flower beds were especially nice.]

[They were definitely top-notch. I’m embarrassed to admit, but I didn’t know much about flowers, but the Spirit who received Rosemary-san in the gate, Nebula, had been taking care of them lately, and the person who works with her on the garden also praised Nebula’s skills.]

[I- I think she’s really great. She looks after them not just as flowers as a whole, but as different types of flowers. It’s as if she subtly changes the way she cares for each flower, really bringing out more than enough of each flower’s charm.]

As a Spirit, Nebula seems to be really good at taking care of plants, and even Illness-san said “she’s learning a lot from her”.

Considering the level of praise Rosemary-san, a flower lover, gave her, she really must be in a different league. In fact, the flowers in the flower beds that Nebula took care of seem to be very lively.

[The flowers certainly do look very lively. I guess it’s because she takes care of them each and everyday huh?]

[U- Unnn. Flowers are just like people, and even though they may be the same kind of flowers, they each have their own personalities, so if you take care of them according to those, only then do they really show their beauty and vitality.

[I see…… I’ve never really looked that closely at the flower beds in my garden…… If you don’t mind, can you tell me where I should look or something like that?]

[Unnn, i- if you’re alright with me. First, errr…… Those flowers over there are……]

Hearing that the topic was her favorite flowers, Rosemary-san became talkative and her expression softened, a smile appeared on her lips, though only a small one.

Of course, she still seemed to be nervous, but there being almost no servants in my home, it could be said to be a place where the shy Rosemary-san felt a little more at ease.

As I sat down on the terrace with Rosemary-san with such thoughts in mind, she suddenly took out a small bag.

[……U- Ummm, Kaito-kun. Y- You see, I- I baked some cookies, s- s- so if it’s alright with you……]

[Eh? You took the trouble to make them for me? Thank you!]

[U- U- Ummm, I don’t usually eat, so I’m not v- v- very good at cooking. T- T- The shape may be a little strange…… b- but I had Lia teach me how to make them, s- s- so I think they should be fine.]

[Thank you, I’m glad. I’ve already had tea prepared for us, so since we’re at it, let’s drink tea together.]

[I- I’m glad you like it.]

Looking at the relieved Rosemary-san, I couldn’t help but think that the way she looked and the way she talked really didn’t match…… There was this gap between her appearance of a beautiful lady and her timid and cute personality.

But for the time being, I’m really glad that I’m able to have a more stable conversation with her than I did at the White God Festival.

<Afterword>

Serious-senpai : [Sugar created by the Absolute? That sounds crazy, but that aside, the atmosphere with Rosemary kinda feels sweet, which is horrible in my opinion……]
