I’ll Add Points To All Things

chapter-308
Director Wang's mind was blank. He had yet to recover from the befuddled state of being beaten up by an onsite procedure.
He stared like a stupid person at the man before him as the cogs in his brain worked their hardest to make sense of what the man said. 'What did he say? I've been terminated?'
At the thought of this, Director Wang was in shock and couldn't care less about the beating he just took. He picked up the document to have a look but realized that it really was a letter to terminate his employment contract that had the company's official seal.
He had sighted the seal in the past when he signed the contract and it looked similar. Nobody would attempt to forge a company's seal since it'd result in jail time.
He was stunned at how Su Yang reacted, feeling the ridiculousness of the events that transpired in his heart.Standing behind Su Yang was Lin Jiali who was also scared sh*tless.
She had heard a commotion on the set and it was as if an accident had happened. She came over to have a look because of that. However, she saw the director telling the security guards to get rid of Su Yang. They were about to make a move on Su Yang the moment she approached.
However, as a hot-headed person, she couldn't help herself. 'How can I tolerate this?! This is the only fan I've got and one of two friends through all these years!
'He's even here today just to visit me. I won't allow him to be bullied!'
Without a second thought, she stood before Su Yang to defend him.
Facing Director Wang, she was actually a little worried. She felt that she would definitely be scolded by Sister Tan (the boss of the company) when she went back. She wasn't able to gain popularity and yet, she caused so much trouble for Sister Tan. This made her a little sad.
However, she couldn't help it since Su Yang was her friend. 'I can't stand aside while he gets bullied! If someone is going to bully him, that person is going to be me!'Still… I didn't expect that the man I was trying to protect would suddenly screw the director over before saying that he's fired?
'Did I miss a couple of episodes? That escalated rather quickly…'
Everyone on the set was now stunned, be it the security guard, Chen Min, the interns, or the staff on the set. Every single person was dumbfounded.
A bit suspicious of what they saw, everyone was wondering.
'Woah, he knocked the director over!
'Did he just get fired?'
'Isn't this guy just an onsite producer? With that much power?'
They weren't the only ones. Director Wang was skeptical as well. He simply didn't believe that this was something that an onsite producer could decide. At this set, only Producer Zhao had the authority and qualification to do such a thing.
'This must have been authorized by Producer Zhao!'
As he thought about it, he rushed over to Producer Zhao and said without even bothering that he had been sitting on the floor earlier. "Producer. Producer. Why did you fire me? I'm doing great.
"I've been working diligently on the film for the last two days. You've put in a lot of effort to get me as well!"
Producer Zhao's face was gloomy as he looked at Su Yang to see if he was going to say something. However, it was something rather hard for him to say.
Based on what Su Yang did by beating up the director and giving him a termination letter, he knew fairly well that Su Yang was determined to fire the director.
He was just an employee of the company so he couldn't go against Su Yang despite knowing that his actions would cause some problems. Because of these reasons, he could only hold his tongue.
Seeing Producer Zhao in this state, Director Wang's pleading eyes slowly turned into one of resentment, and he gave Producer Zhao a fierce stare before shouting at Su Yang. "Fine! Terminate the contract! However, I signed a breach of contract with the crew! The crew is going to pay for it!"
Saying that, he looked at Su Yang with a smug face. "I remember the amount of compensation for a breach of my contract. It isn't a small amount. Is the crew ready to fork this amount out of their pocket?"
Su Yang patted the dust on his hand, stood up, and said in a deep voice, "I don't know if they'll pay you any money. However, I do know that you might be pulling money out of your pocket."
There was a hint of foreboding in Director Wang's heart.
Surely enough, Su Yang looked at him condescendingly and said, "After all, you are suspected of falsifying your resume, and the crew has the right to terminate the contract with you and get reasonable compensation for this fraudulent act."
Saying that, Su Yang waved his hand. "Get lost. Go home and wait for a letter from our legal department.
Director Wang's head buzzed as his mind went blank, and he sat on the floor, dumbfoundedly looking at Su Yang.
After all, even a screenwriter could be a director in a shoot like this, not to mention an assistant director. As an assistant director previously, he was only hired for this 5 million yuan project the producer begged him. That was why Producer Zhao was so tolerant of him.
Now that his resume had been exposed, he might have to pay compensation on top of losing the project.
He chose this project for the simple reason that a crew as small as this probably wouldn't investigate his resume. This one film alone would change his career completely.
However, everything was now ruined. As soon as the other party publicized this information, his reputation within the community would hit rock bottom.
If he lost the lawsuit, he probably wouldn't even be able to fork out any lawyer fees with the amount of savings he had. After all, it was as he said. It would be very expensive if the contract was breached.
'I can't go rogue, right? If I run away and get on the credit blacklist, I probably wouldn't even be able to take a train or a plane. How will I be able to make a movie then? How will I be able to be a director.'
Thinking of this, he almost wanted to reach out to grab Su Yang's foot and beg but he refrained from doing so.
At that moment, he suddenly realized that he didn't even know the name of the onsite producer in front of him.
He turned around and looked pleadingly at Producer Zhao.
Producer Zhao's face changed and he whispered, "Producer Su."
Lin Jia Li looked to the left and right from the side, a little confused. 'Producer? An onsite producer? Since when did Su Yang become a producer? What did I miss?
'Aren't I supposed to be the woman in this 'play'?
'Shouldn't this 'scene' be like a beautiful actress angrily strikes out to save her friend before escaping barefoot with her friend?
'Why did I, as the lady-in-waiting, become invisible instead?'
Director Wang cast a grateful look at Producer Zhao and begged Su Yang, "Producer Su, Producer Su! I was a terrible person, please spare me. I'll be sure to make a good film, a good film! I really want to be a good director."
Su Yang didn't move at all. "Tell that to the judge."
Director Wang's eyes turned red as he roared, "You're just going to tell me to go to hell, aren't you?!"
Su Yang laughed, removed Director Wang's hand from his shoes, patted them again with disdain, and turned toward Producer Zhao.
That understatement coupled with disdain broke the last psychological barrier of Director Wang who frantically shouted at Su Yang, "Your crew has already started shooting! If there's no director, you'll be screwed! Hundreds of thousands are lost every day! You won't be able to afford it!"
Hearing this, Producer Zhao could no longer hold back. What he was hesitating and worrying about was the exact thing that was now happening.
Su Yang was the owner of the company and the investor, but he was the producer of the entire crew.
No one knew better than him how much money the crew was spending every day now, and how much they would lose every day if they didn't continue filming.
Although several actors signed a film contract, there are additional terms and conditions in the supplementary agreement, especially the two male lead actors. If they postpone filming, they'll have to fork out more money and the amount would increase as time goes by.
Now, he had to temporarily look for a director. Let's not mention the level of the director of their suitability. It would be difficult to calculate the delay of the shoot.
Every single day lost during a shoot was a huge expense. Who was going to pay for this lost money?
Although Su Yang gave him the evidence of the falsification of Director Wang's resume, he could only keep his temper down although he wanted to cut Director Wang to death with a thousand cuts.
Just because he was the producer, he had to be responsible for the company's investment and had to ensure that the crew would continue to operate normally.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but look at Su Yang as hesitated for a moment, walked over, before he whispered a plea to Director Wang, "Su..."
As soon as he began speaking, he took a look at Lin Jiali who was standing on the side and continued, "Producer Su, look. Changing directors now would cost us money every day. Rather..."
He held his tongue but it was already incredibly obvious. 'Rather, let's shoot the movie with Director Wang.'
However, Su Yang patted him on the shoulder and whispered, "I've made all the arrangements."
Then, he said to Director Wang without a care in the world, "You don't have to worry about that. The company has already arranged for a new director."
Saying that, he shouted, "Janet."
In the middle of the conversation, a tall foreign 'woman' with a slim figure walked out of the studio, holding a girl who looked to be about 1.5 meters tall in her hand.
The girl was dressed very cleanly and was neatly wearing a director's uniform. It was a vest with four pockets. She walked in with a serious face.
Producer Zhao's eyes rested on Bubbles for a moment before he looked at Janet. Then, he whispered to Su Yang, "You hired a foreign director?"
Su Yang shook his head. "No, it's that little one."
Producer Zhao was speechless.
'Doesn't this little girl look like she's fourteen?'
Although the two of them could not be heard by outsiders, Director Wang heard them clearly. He sat on the ground and laughed, "Just a little girl like that? You're letting a little girl direct a movie?
"You say I don't have the directorial qualities and she does?"
Su Yang replied without a care in the world, "Just a little girl? It's so you know how trashy you are."
As soon as this was said, Director Wang's face darkened.
After all, he had at least been on the crew and had been trained as a director. Although he knew his level was poor, could the little girl in front of him shoot better than he did?
Not to mention, she would have to know how to handle the camera, the processes for special effects and the dialogue!
The surrounding crew members who overheard the conversation between director Wang and Su Yang began whispering, apparently a little surprised that a little girl was actually a director.
'What the hell is this new field producer doing?'
'Is this movie a barbie house?'
