Cough, this is an extra of Second Uncle’s story, fast forwarding from Valentine’s to Christmas…

Today happened to be Christmas

Chu Minshen got off work early, and before returning home, he took a special drive to the mall.

The whole mall was filled with a festive atmosphere, and multiple merry little children’s voices singing ‘Jingle Bell’ came from all directions played by the broadcast, lifting Chu Minshen’s mood with a little bit of festivity.

The man, who was nearly forty-years-old, was tall, and his wise and handsome face made people unable to tell his real age, easily catching people’s attention with his dashing looks. He went to the topmost floor of the mall alone and arrived at a high-end custom jewelry store to pick up a special gift.

The young female clerk politely handed the beautifully-packaged bag to the man, and sighed secretly in her heart, not knowing which girl was so fortunate to have a man this handsome and wealthy to love her that much.

After returning to the compound and parking the car, Chu Minshen took out a large bouquet of fresh roses from the back seat, firmly holding it in one hand, while his other hand was casually stuffed in his pocket as he headed upstairs. His pocket contained a small square box and inside it was something he had gotten custom-made a long time ago.

Chu Minshen thought that to give it out on this day would only be appropriate.

Originally, he had planned to book a romantic candlelight dinner and bring out the surprise after their meal, but his little delicate flower specifically called him this afternoon and told him that she had personally prepared a big meal today, so he should hurry back early to enjoy it. Thinking of this, Chu Minshen’s footsteps quickened their pace again.

“Jiaojiao, I’m back.”

Chu Minshen opened the door and stepped inside, only to find the living room dark. The soft figure he expected to immediately leap at him did not appear, but relying on his extraordinary hearing, Chu Minshen heard the sound of soft breaths. His little girl was currently in the house right now, but… what was this quirky little girl trying to do?

After placing the roses in a glass vase for the moment, Chu Minshen raised his hand to turn on the light but found that the switch was utterly useless, the room remaining dark.

“Jiaojiao?”

He called out once more, but still, no one responded. Suddenly, his eyes were attracted to the extremely dim light on the wall, so Chu Minshen reached out his hand and tore it off. It was a post-it note placed on top of the switch.

On it was a line written in special fluorescent light that faintly glowed, ‘This is a candlelight dinner. There are candles on the table, light them up~’

Beside the entrance hall was a cabinet, Chu Minshen fumbled around for an item, and sure enough, he found a candle. This was clearly something Chu Jiao had prepared in advance.

He inadvertently hooked up the corner of his mouth and took out the lighter. He didn’t know what the little girl was planning to do, but he still did as he was told.

The flame leapt out in a blaze, illuminating the small space around him.

The whole house seemed to be sorted out by his little lady again. The surrounding walls seemed to be hung with vine-like ribbons, gracefully winding down from the ceiling and spreading from the living room to the bedroom, as though they were showing him the way.

Chu Minshen walked forward.

The coffee table, which was originally in the living room, was moved to the side, replaced by a pine tree that was as tall as a person, and it was adorned with decorations to form a Christmas tree. Chu Minshen moved the candle closer and saw that it was covered with various bells and ribbons and similarly, there was a post-it note within his reach as well.

‘This was such a large object, this girl,’ Chu Minshen thought, shaking his head, but not feeling frustrated at all.

Even though he thought like this, Chu Minshen smiled dotingly and reached out a hand to pick the post-it note up, intending to see what Chu Jiao was cooking up. Under the flickering light of the candle, he saw it read, ‘For your dining experience, please change into formal attire before you eat.’

He then followed the arrow on the post-it note and curiously looked down at his feet, finding a large square carton placed under the tree.

Chu Minshen bent down and opened the box. It seemed to be a red and white outfit with a red and green bow tie on top to tie the look together, looking quite appropriate for the Christmas festivity. On the outside of the box, another post-it note was also attached.

‘It’s this right here, change into it. Then, you can come and enjoy the food I carefully prepared just for you~ I can’t wait~’

‘PS: You can’t not change into it!!!’

Chu Minshen instinctively licked the back of his teeth. This little girl had deliberately drawn three exclamation marks, clearly for a specific reason.

He placed the bow tie aside and picked up the red and white ‘formal attire’ in the box.

As expected.

The thin and slippery fabric was so revealing. Chu Minshen stared at the clothes in his hand, and his eyes dimmed slightly, even his breathing grew a little heavier.

How was this ‘formal attire’? It’s no different from a bunch of rags! The two slender and elastic straps were connected to only a palm-sized piece of cloth, which seamlessly swayed in his hand, and it seemed as though the material could be torn apart with just a bit of force.

How could she ask him to wear this? After visualizing what he would look like, Chu Minshen raised his hand, wanting to throw the rag away, but then, he remembered the five words ‘You can’t not change into’ specifically written by Chu Jiao and held his hand back.

After facing an internal struggle for a long time, Chu Minshen finally put the candle aside and raised his hands, starting to remove the neat military uniform he was wearing.

The straight military uniform collar had always been cuffed to the top by the owner, stuck under his Adam’s apple. Whenever he walked outside, he always appeared ascetic and dignified, making people have the need to treat him respectfully.

As his distinctly jointed hands slowly undid one button after another, the strong muscle hidden under the clothes gradually became exposed to the air.

He was forty years old this year.

Chu Minshen slowly lowered his head, the candle flame beside him flickering. Even though it was faint, the eight-pack abs on his bronzed body were still visible.

Over the years, he had been diligent in exercising, maintaining quite a robust figure. He had also managed to keep the mature and handsome air he had since ten years ago. Every time he went out shopping with Chu Jiao, they were always praised as a jade couple, made up of a talented man and a beautiful woman, a natural match made in heaven.

But, only Chu Minshen knew in his heart that he couldn’t stop the torrents of time, that he was gradually growing old.

Moreover, his little girl had just graduated from college. Just when the most delicate and dainty flower was beginning to bloom, he had already begun to welcome twilight. He began to feel uneasy and had started denying himself.

He often worried that his little girl would someday dislike him, dislike him for being old, dislike him for not being good enough for her.

That was why he went and ordered such an item, wanting to personally give it to his most beloved lady, locking her firmly to his side.

Chu Minshen vividly recalled the decision he made when he agreed to this improper relationship a few years ago.

At that time, he was reluctant to let his little girl feel sad, thus allowing the two of them to start an immoral relationship. However, he still thought that maybe one day, if Jiaojiao came to learn how this relationship defied the rules set in stone by society and wanted to leave him, he would definitely let her go.

But, seven years had already passed by, and the little girl continued to remain by his side, never leaving him.

While Chu Minshen spurned his shamelessness in his heart, he firmly grasped Chu Jiao’s hand, knowing in his heart that he could never let go of her.

She was his niece, she was his Jiaojiao.

She was also the only person he had ever loved so deeply.

As long as she wished, as long as she wanted, as long as she requested, he would not deny it.

When Chu Minshen saw the tearful eyes of the five-year-old girl for the first time more than ten years ago, he knew that he had fallen headfirst.

But, he was willing to gladly endure the personal hardship.

Throwing his clothes and trousers on the sofa, the naked man raised the ‘rag,’ and his old face appeared slightly flushed. Fortunately, the color wasn’t visible in the dark and only he himself knew about it.

Chu Minshen put on the ‘formal attire’ specially prepared by Chu Jiao with an embarrassed face the entire time. The tightness from top to bottom made him very uncomfortable, especially in that ‘certain part,’ which was tightly wrapped by a small piece of cloth, making him feel unceasingly restless.
