“Every single one of them is so slippery?” Sima You Yue lowered her head to look at the name of the tenth person. The first one listed was actually worth five thousand points, and he was merely a spirit paragon.

“Every single one is slippery, especially the first one. He’s not the most powerful, but he’s worth the most. You can also say that he’s the most difficult one to tackle.” Sima You Ran said.

“Actually, I’m not too supportive of choosing this mission.” Sima You Ming said, “We’ve just begun choosing missions, so it would be better to choose an easier one. I’m in favour of choosing the mission where we go to the dark forest to look for the fire egg. It’s more similar to the mission we chose before.”

The last time they were in the imperial school, they constantly went to accept missions from there, doing things somewhere or looking for medicines and things like that.

“If we choose the mission where we want to look for the fire bird egg, we can choose this along the way.” Sima You Lin said, “When we were choosing missions, we heard the teacher say that there were two of them near the dark forest. If we’re lucky, we might bump into them. If not, we won’t meet them, and we won’t be at a loss either.”

“That’s possible. What do you guys think?” Sima You Qi asked.

“No preference.” Fatty Qu didn’t really care about these things as long as he could craft tools, cultivate, eat and sleep well. As long as everyone was together, he was fine with anything.

“No preference either.” Wei Zi Qi said.

He had earned quite a bit of points on the last two beast taming missions that he did, so he wasn’t really lacking right now. That’s why he was just casually accompanying them. He didn’t want to make any decision.

“Same here.” Sima You Yue didn’t really have any demands of the mission because her spirit pagoda was more powerful.

Ouyang Fei and Bei Gong weren’t around as they were still going through the transfer. However, if everyone had decided on it, they weren’t going to disagree.

“Then let’s decide on it.” Sima You Qi said, “The main mission will be to retrieve the fire bird egg, and then we can accept the mission to kill them while we’re at it.”

“Alright.”

“Oh yeah, is there a deadline to complete it?” Sima You Yue asked.

“Not theoretically. But everyone’s deadline pretty much won’t be more than the amount given by the mission.”

“Theoretically?”

“Think about it. If you accepted a mission and took a year’s time, but the returns were only a month’s worth of points, it wouldn’t be worth it.” Sima You Lin explained.

“That’s why people usually give themselves a deadline based on the value of the cultivation points.”

Sima You Yue nodded with understanding. Instead of spending time doing a mission that couldn’t be accomplished, it made more sense to choose another one.

And those missions that couldn’t be accomplished would keep rising in value.

“Where’s the dark forest? Have you guys found out more about it yet?”

“The dark forest is in the central province. It’s in a relatively dangerous place. Similar to the Yilin continent’s Pu Luo Mountain Range.” Sima You Lin said, “Many people who go in never come out. That’s why it’s called the dark forest.”

“Central Province huh, that’s a little far.” Sima You Yue said, “Since it’s been a long time since everyone has come out, why don’t we see whether there are any other missions along the way. When we’re done, we don’t have to run out again.”

Everyone felt like her suggestion made sense, so they went to look for a mission in the central province.

“This mission is a little difficult, but it’s in the central province.” Wei ZI Qi found a flyer and passed it over for everyone to take a look.

“Checking out something strange that happened in the Bright Red Mountain Peak recently.” Fatty Qu read it out as he said, “What kind of mission is this? It doesn’t even explain anything.”

“Read what’s written below.” Wei Zi Qi said.

“The difficulty level is four stars!” Fatty Qu cried out when he saw the four little stars at the bottom, “Why’s it so dangerous?!”

“It proves that the place is fishy.”

“I checked this mission out as well. It’s because a few students died while accepting it. That’s why it’s so difficult. The cultivation points increased as well.”

“Ten thousand cultivation points!” Fatty Qu cried out again when he saw its value.

“If it’s worth ten thousand, then each person can get around one thousand. It’ll be enough for three years.” Sima You Yue said, “Not bad, we can accept this mission.”

“Will it be too dangerous?” Sima You Lin asked tentatively.

“It will definitely be dangerous, otherwise, students wouldn’t have died.” Sima You Yue said, “However, the reward is good, isn’t it?”

“With You Yue around, the danger would be greatly lessened.” Fatty Qu said.

“Why don’t we give it a shot?” Wei Zi Qi said.

Sima You Yue had many ways of keeping them alive. It shouldn’t be that dangerous.

Sima You Lin thought about it for a bit before agreeing as well.

“A team can only accept three missions at a time. This will be our three, then.” Sima You Qi said, “Does anyone have any objections?”

“None. Once Bei Gong and Ouang Fei come, we can ask them for their opinion. If they agree, then we can accept it.” Sima You Lin said.

“Okay.”

When evening came, Bei Gong Tang and Ouyang Fei came out from their rooms. Sima You Qi went to look for them to update them about the mission status, and they both had no objections. As such, Sima You Qi went to the teacher in charge of the missions the next day to accept the missions.

When the teacher saw the missions they had selected, he looked at the team again and asked, “Are you certain that you want to accept these three missions? They are rather difficult for new students.”

“Yes, teacher. We have decided on these three.” Sima You Qi said.

The teacher saw that he was resolute, so he did not comment any further and noted their missions down before handing him a name plate. With that name plate, the school indicated that they had acknowledged that they had accepted the mission. With it, they could leave the inner sect too.

Sima You Yue took out a mother-son stone and contacted Little Seven. She told her about the mission and asked if she wanted to come along. She also mentioned where they were going and what other missions they accepted.

At that moment, Little Seven happened to be with Yuan Shao Jie. When she found out she was leaving, she immediately hopped off her stool and wanted to run off, afraid of being left behind.

“Why are you running away so quickly for!” Yuan Shao Jie grabbed onto her, “I didn’t say I wasn’t going to let you leave.”

“You agree to let me out?” Little Seven looked at Yuan Shao Jie with disbelief.

“Go go go, it’ll be useful for your transformation.” Yuan Shao Jie said, “Take this with you. If you’re in danger, it can take you away.”

He shoved a box at her and placed it in her clothes.

Little Seven kept it away and threw her brain over her shoulder as she left the house to look for Sima You Yue.

Sima You Yue had just put the mother-son stone down before hearing a voice that made her head hurt.
