Is that a Wisp?
chapter-1543-30041322

"How do you think you were created, Turia?" Zule said upon seeing the anger in Turia's expression.

"My entire clan was slaughtered, and their flesh and blood were used to construct the Kun Realm," Zule said. "Plus, the Kun Peng race has ostracised me all along. And for what cause? For wishing to make the Greater Universe more stable by employing the help of the Spirit Aberrants?"

Zule snorted as he continued, "All the Primordial Beast Chiefs had been afraid of the Spirit Aberrant Chief, one so strong that his strength equaled three Chiefs. So, they needed an excuse to slaughter the Spirit Aberrant race. And since my clan had close ties with them, one that we did thanks to the orders from the Kun Peng Chief, we were slaughtered."

"This anger in me…" Zule stated as gradually, the spatial storm churned out of him slowly, overwhelming Turia as he said, "It won't subside until the bastards that used my clan as a scapegoat are destroyed."

"So, you plan to use us as your blade. Is that it?" Turia grunted in anger. "You've seen the strength disparity. Only someone on the level of the God King can take down a Primordial Beast."

"There would arrive Champions to do that," Zule stated in confidence. "Besides, considering the rate at which all the realms were growing, I had no other choice but to do this."

"This was actually to protect everyone."

"Ridiculous!" Turia bellowed in anger.

"If what the Kun Peng Chief said was the truth, then…" Wally exited the portal, frowning as he analyzed calmly, gazing at Zule as he said, "How many times has the Greater Universe been… reset?"

"7 times…" Zule said, explaining further. "A reset is when all the Greater Realms and even realms are destroyed. Their fragments are then fused into budding Satellite Realms and allowed to grow. We'll create the various races once again and put them in various Sub-Realms, allowing them to grow into realms gradually."

"The erasure of the older powers and the birthing of new worlds is what we call a reset," Zule said. "And this happened seven times already. Currently, we're in the eight… process."

"The condition for a reset is simple," Zule stated solemnly. "The moment the God King of that time becomes strong enough to kill a Primordial Beast one-on-one, the Chiefs would get together and erase everything."

"The Spirit Aberrant Chief opposed the idea during the seventh reset. It was then that the other eight Chiefs ganged up on the Spirit Aberrant race and annihilated them." He sighed as he continued, "Even though they might look like they don't care, they're actually watching everything that happens in the Greater Universe."

"A century later, the God King would have attained the strength that would make the eight Chiefs reset the Greater Universe," Zule said. "That would mean the destruction of all realms, including the Kun Realm that's the only sign of my clan having ever lived. And... I don't want that."

"Hence, I purposefully triggered the Kun Peng Chief to make a bet with me," Zule said, his expression one of helplessness. "Plus, I also caused trouble with Tallo just to force the hands of the Chiefs."

"Thankfully, they bought it and created a law," Zule said, revealing a cunning grin. "This means that they won't be able to reset this Greater Universe until this bet is completed. As long as we win, I'll be able to devour the Kun Peng Chief and become the next Chief myself. With that, I'll be able to prevent a reset."

"And due to this bet that the Chiefs had turned into a Law just to constrict me, they too wouldn't be able to destroy the realms." He clenched his hand into a fist, gazing at Turia as he concluded, "So, my actions would allow everyone to live on. Now tell me, did I do anything wrong?"

"If you're telling the truth…" Turia said before sighing, able to sense that Zule was indeed telling the truth. After all, it was his power that created the Kun Realm. So, she was able to sense Zule's sincerity, aware that he hadn't lied about anything.

"But, how will we win?" Wally asked in concern. "Eight Primordial Beasts on the same level as Tallo. Isn't that impossible to win? Or…"

His eyes lit up as he looked at Zule and said, "If you're personally helping us, then it should be…"

"No, I can't." Zule sighed helplessly, lightly extending his hand as, all of a sudden, a mystical presence condensed to form chains that constricted his power. "See, all my powers are sealed to prevent me from helping you. So, you'll only have yourself to rely on."

'But, haven't I made the necessary preparations already?' Zule didn't say it out loud as he grinned towards Turia, who caught onto his message.

'So, Hazak and Gegrafikan are the keys to strengthening ourselves.' Turia nodded, surprised to see that there was still more that Zule was implying through eye contact alone, unwilling to say anything that the Chiefs could figure out.

The chains dragged him deep into a spatial storm before his figure vanished. Until the bet was done, Zule would be a prisoner, unable to help them.

But now, the expression of Turia eased up a little, having hope as they wished to grow as strong as possible before the eight Primordial Beasts arrived to fight them.

'Based on the clues that he was implying, they would send the strongest among the Younger Generation of the Primordial Beasts. With that, they need some time to prepare. Considering how they originally planned to reset the Greater Universe after a century when the God King's strength reached the critical point, it means…' Turia concluded, '100 years. That's all the time we have to grow strong enough to face the Primordial Beasts.'

Her eyes then lit up in shock as she made sense of what Zule was trying to convey to her in the end.

'It's not just them. There are Hishe and Luvile too. And now, their inheritor is the key to our victory.'

'Krune is my Champion that would fight the Primordial Beasts.'
