[Congratulations! Your skill (Hell Flames) has risen to level 04.]

Seeing this notification, Noah was very happy, as he knew he would have normally needed weeks, if not months to collect the 2,000 exp points he still needed to level up the skill. Whenever the skill level rose, he received something useful as a reward, and he was sure this time would be no different, so Noah was looking forward to checking out what he got on the status screen.

[User: Noah Stern

Level: 03, 131/1600 exp

HP: 14/14

Strength: 20

Agility: 14

Stamina: 15

Mana: 11

Skills:

(Hell Flames Lv 04, 3/12500 exp: A technique that consists of invoking the flames of hell itself. The flames of hell did not differ from normal flames, but after purifying so many sins and so many sinners, it became the most powerful flamex, having even burned the flame god himself, making him beg Lucifer to extinguish the flames before he died.To increase the power of hell's flame ability, the user must burn sins or sinners.

* * After reaching Lv 04, the user's body has adapted better to the flame and control over it has become even more natural, having absorbed a lot of divine energy from a god of light with great healing abilities, the flame absorbed part of these skills and integrated them into itself, now allowing the user to heal using their own flames in exchange for mana. * *)

(Hell Tunneling Lv 02, 2/1500 exp: A technique that consists of opening a tunnel to hell and leaving somewhere else in a fraction of a second. The greater the distance, the greater the energy used.

Hell has harbored the souls of sinners since the beginning of time for all eternity, and to support the great number of demons and souls, the area there is many times more expanded than the world of the living. Whenever Lucifer passed through these tunnels, people assumed he was teleporting.

** Pyakugan: After reaching Lv 02, the user learned to reduce the cost of each teleportation, in addition to speed. As the user used so much the ability to move spatially, the user partially received a spatial perception even with his eyes closed.**)]

Seeing the news in the window below [Hell Flames], Noah, on the one hand, felt very happy and satisfied to have such a useful skill, and began to wonder if it would be possible for him to use this skill to help out Maggy's recovery.

But remembering the current state he was in, where he needed to have some sort of very powerful attack technique, Noah felt a little disappointed and worried. After all, with his current set of attack techniques, Noah had no techniques powerful enough to defeat his opponent, because any kind of injury to the man, except something that might drain his energy, could have been a viable option if only the man did not have an attack that attacked everyone in all directions.

This burst of energy even reminded Noah of the scar man from the Superfortress of rats, who had a Blessing with a skill much like this, but of course, on a much smaller scale of power.

The man's bow glowed in golden light and pointed directly at Noah. Seeing this, Noah knew there was no other option. He was afraid to teleport to another place within the arena where that strange arrow still might hit him. Even though the man had said that he had been sent by a priest for something related to a debt that his god owed to Noah's, as his opponent had not proved anything he said was true, Noah didn't even consider believing what the man said when making his decision. He would not risk his life for a man who was saying that he came here as a friend or possible ally, but in the next moment pointed a bow of energy towards him, wanting to take his life.

Of course, it was all for show, or at least, because the man knew that Noah had the ability to dodge the arrow, he wanted to force Noah to withdraw from the tournament. After all, the cash prize was a little tempting even for Blessed Rank C, since it was more than the monthly salary of a Blessed person of his rank who invaded 2 Fortresses a week.

Seeing that the bow and arrow were already fully charged, Noah did not want to risk competing with something that was made of light, as it could very well move at the speed of light and kill him before he had even realized it. So without giving a second thought about it, Noah, against his better judgement, used [Hell Tunneling] to leave the arena, under the excited gaze of all the spectators.

As soon as Noah did that, he looked at the stage and saw a fraction of a second later a bright ray cross the space from the man's bow through the position where Noah had just been.

It made Noah swallow hard, thinking he might have died if he had stayed there a few seconds longer, and all the potential he had inside him could have just been wasted simply because of the arrogance that kept him on stage.

When the arrow of light hit Noah's previous position, a huge explosion erupted from the spot where it impacted, destroying nearly half of the arena they were using to fight. But instead of worrying about the damage done, viewers screamed with joy and excitement from seeing such a powerful ability being used right in front of them.

Watching a battle like this caused the audience's perception of strength to be completely altered. Many Blessed Ones who were trapped at the peak of the current Rank, after seeing a battle like that of the radiant man and Noah managed to have a sudden inspiration to develop some kind of new skill that would cause them to rise from their own Rank.

Among the people who had a new perception about something was Noah, who was previously confident of being able to invade a Rank C Fortress because of the strength he possessed, mainly because of the instantaneous agility that [Hell Tunneling] provided for him. But after experiencing the strength of a true Blessed Rank C in person, Noah realized that he still had a long way to go before he had a strength like this man, who was practically at the pinnacle among everyone in town.

If that man took orders from someone, Noah was worried if he had to meet the person who could command someone like this to do something as simple as just looking for someone else.

It was as if this priest didn't care about this powerful Blessed and just treated him like a messenger, which was inconceivable to Noah.

At this point, in addition to Noah, who was having a completely changed conception of the way things worked, was Robert, who was perspiring more than the referee himself who was inside the arena regulating that fight that had long since gotten out of his control.

Robert was already concerned that Noah might survive and come to take revenge on him after seeing the strength that Noah had shown to everyone in that place. He had realized that all this time he thought that Noah was just a little laboratory mouse waiting to be tested on and joked about by whoever was controlling him at that time, but after watching these fights he realizes that he was completely mistaken.

With Noah's current strength, Robert could clearly be killed in whatever way Noah wanted. Even though he was a Blessed Rank D, with a Rank C Blessing, against Noah, who had Rank C strength, or was at least on the threshold of Rank C from Rank D, he knew he had no chance, even more against a Blessing as powerful as teleportation. He couldn't even think of a possibility of something he could use with his ice to protect himself.

Like his younger brother Harry, Robert also had an Ice Blessing. Since Robert first came to this fight club, he started to observe each of the fighters who had Ice Blessings to learn from them: to understand how they fought, what style they would use that would be most effective, and what would be the most remarkable skill that anyone there would have.

He had done this so much so that in the last few months, Robert was training how to make an ice knife, same as that fighter, which he was already somewhat able to do, but he still lacked a little of the man's agility to make a weapon like that in such a short time. Robert needed to make a knife in advance and wasn't able to summon as many knives as he wanted, like the man in the arena had done. But just being able to replicate a skill as practical as that was enough for Robert to consider himself a genius, and to be considered a genius by everyone around him, after all, he was just a few steps away from Rank C, the rank of the most powerful men and women in the city Eyrin.

But seeing Noah and that man call out weapons with their Blessings so easily, even though it was even more difficult because they weren't solid Blessings, made Robert feel a little disappointed. But he still hoped that Noah would just die against the other man with that bright bow of light. At least that way he could avoid the bitterness Noah might possibly have towards him, but unfortunately, in Robert's view, that 'unfortunate Teleportation Blessing' had saved Noah once again.

And as he saw that Noah had teleported over a few meters away when he tried to escape the man's attack, Robert felt his own heart race with worry and a little fear.

Even more when he saw that after the teleportation, instead of those flames disappearing as before, those strange flames started to stick to Noah's body and burn the man himself.

Even though Noah didn't cry out in pain because he was being burned alive by the flames, it still attracted the attention of more and more people from the stage over to Noah.

At that moment, Noah looked like a man made of fire. If someone were to compare him with some pop culture figure, that person would say that he looked less like the character Human Torch and more like the character Endeavor of a famous Japanese program that managed to survive after the end of the black era of humanity. He had parts of himself on fire, while other parts were not on fire.

This gave him an even more sinister appearance, since as he was not screaming in pain, it was as if he were a sadistic maniac who did not mind being hurt.

But to everyone's surprise, instead of seeing Noah totally burned and deformed, when the flames came off of his skin, he was completely fine, as if he had never been hurt at all.

Leaving aside the injuries that his flame should have caused him, even the injuries he received from the fight with the man in the arena were no longer there. It was as if he had not even been hurt by the man on the stage.

This made others think that his flame was even more frightening than they initially imagined.
