Lucifer's Descendant System

chapter-141
After getting into the car, Patrick was a little less concerned, because his attention had been drawn to the luxurious interior of the vehicle that cost more than the house in which he lived in when he was younger.
Unlike Noah, who was not a fan of the flashy red leather, Patrick already found the color for the interior to be the most beautiful thing in the world. With red on both the exterior and interior of the vehicle, it really looked like it was a luxury sports car.
Noah, on the other hand, would have preferred the leather to be white, since for him it would give the car more refinement. But as an old proverb that he found once on the internet said, " One should not look a gift horse in the mouth," so even if the color of the leather of the car's interior wasn't the color he considered "perfect", that little detail didn't make him dislike the car. Quite the contrary, every time Noah sat in the driver's seat and stepped on the gas, he felt better and better for having "won" this car from Robert.
Noah had realized that Patrick was quite frightened by the sudden mention of this "proposal", but he knew that after the proposal was truly presented, Patrick and Carlos would probably be vibrating with anxiety to test and see if it would really work, and Noah would surely also be hoping to make it work as well.
While at the restaurant, Noah had already asked Carlos to had over to his house immediately and move up this meeting, since he had met Patrick and was already taking him home. Carlos accepted, since today was Saturday and he had almost nothing to do. He thought he would be mainly spending time with the friend he had not seen for a few days. But when Carlos arrived, he saw a familiar car parked in the garage of the house. That car was practically showing up in the feed every time he opened his Instagram, but he couldn't understand: 'Why is Robert's car at Noah's house? Since when did the two become friends?' he wondered as he rang the bell.
In just a few seconds, Noah went out the door to open the house gate for him, accompanied by a familiar face, which Carlos thought he would have never met again in his life.
The familiar face was not that of the "owner" of the car in the garage, Robert, but of a classmate he had in high school, Patrick. 'What is Patrick doing here? Is he the reason Noah asked me to come early?'
Noah had just asked him to come early for an unforeseen event; he just didn't specify what the unforeseen was.
After greeting each other, Carlos couldn't stand his own curiosity any longer and asked while pointing to the car, "Dude, that car is Robert's, right?"
Noah looked at his friend and laughed. "Of course not; that is my new car."
Hearing Noah's response, Carlos had a bad feeling, but he thought it might just be a fucking coincidence. "I know you've already reached Rank D on Valorwatch, but you're still a Blessed Rank E in the real world, aren't you? A Blessed Rank E wouldn't be able to buy a car like this, and even a Blessed Rank D would have a hard time paying for one."Noah chuckled and answered, "But I'm not paying. It was my new 'friend' who gave me this car, hahaha."
With Noah's response, Carlos's bad feeling deepened further. "Don't tell me that your friend-"
"Yes, it's Robert," Noah interrupted and looked at Carlos who had a worried expression on his face.
"Damn man, so it was you who made him so pissed off? He's cursing someone on twitter non-stop, but he refuses to say that person's name because of that person's strength! Apparently he even told his father, who is thinking about getting involved in this to get their son's car back. Do you believe you can handle them?" Carlos asked, worried, but finding the situation strangely funny. Two or three weeks ago, at his house party, he had discovered that Noah, as well as Robert's younger brother Harry, had had a disagreement and didn't like each other, but while he was worried about Noah at the time, in less than one month, Noah had even taken Robert's new car and Robert didn't have the heart to try to get his own car back on his own from him.
'And me worrying at that time...' Carlos thought.
"As long as his father is not Rank B, I believe that it is something manageable, especially with the proposal that I have to show you today. Maybe even his father will end up losing the courage to try to do something about me," Noah said in a confident manner.
At this point, listening to their whole conversation, Patrick was a little lost. He came to believe that Noah had bought the car with the money he was getting, but apparently Noah hadn't even bought that car. The more the conversation progressed, the more he believed that Noah was selling drugs or in a financial pyramid scheme.
Not until he heard Carlos say that Noah had been dealing with some powerful Blessed did his heart start to calm down. But when he heard Noah say he could handle even a Blessed Rank C, Patrick worried again, for fear that Noah was a more dangerous criminal than a drug dealer.
But since he was already at this criminal's house now, he just needed to follow the flow and hope to leave safely and without taking anything too illegal.
Weapons in that era were already completely legalized, after all, people had Blessings that were more powerful than Bazookas; walking with a pistol was a matter of safety for people without a Blessing. But guns were expensive, to the point that a Blessed Rank F would have to save money for years to be able to at least think about buying the cheapest gun from a store.
Noah noticed Patrick's disquiet and realized that he was probably getting something wrong from their story, so he decided to show them both what his idea was. But first he had to give Terrence and Lilith the food he had brought from the steakhouse.
When Carlos and Patrick, who knew much of monsters, saw an Angry Bird Boss in front of them, eating human food at a physically impossible speed, they didn't know if they were more shocked by the speed he was eating, or that Noah had a monster from the top of Rank E as a pet.
"Now, getting to the main topic which I'm going to show you, it can be a little shocking, and it might even be something that will change the world going forward," Noah said as he led them both to the back garden, which was now full of plants that were growing again, since Noah could spend a lot of water to water each one there and try to bring life back to that place . It also happened to be the place where Terrence liked to stay the most. "Tell me Carlos, what is your biggest frustration in terms of power?"
Carlos thought about what Noah asked for a while, and let out a sigh before answering with a little regret, "It is to think that I cannot defend myself, that I will always depend on someone else, probably a powerful Blessed hired to take care of my safety."
Hearing Carlos's frank response, Noah nodded as he looked at Patrick and asked. "And as for you?"
Patrick glanced at Carlos and replied, "I... My frustration is thinking that I have power, but it is so low that it is ridiculous. In addition, I don't have enough money to even have a decent meal, much less to pay someone to protect me."
With Patrick's sincere response, Noah and Carlos looked at him sympathetically, which made Noah ask again, "And what would you do to have that power that you want?"
Hearing Noah's question, the two became a little concerned, and Carlos asked back, "Don't tell me this is from some evil god who needs sacrifices..."
Noah quickly disagreed and explained that this power was from an unknown god who only demanded that he kill monsters.
Knowing it was not an evil god that Noah was dealing with, Carlos replied, "I would be willing to pay a lot of money for this, as long as the power was under my control."
Patrick, who didn't have enough money, replied, "I would be willing to do anything that doesn't break my principles."
These responses were exactly what Noah wanted to hear. Building wealth was not that difficult, there were several ways to build something like that: You could sell courses on the internet, you could do livestreams, write books, open a clothing store, a market, all of these were legitimate ways to get money and maybe even get rich.
But what Noah wanted was not just to get rich; he wanted to be able to face the greatest powers of the city, men like his uncle, who controlled several Blessed Ones. Money alone would not be enough; what he needed was a lot of money and people devoted to doing whatever he asked for.
And in that moment, Noah saw an opportunity to get exactly what he wanted. He could get a lot of money from whoever was interested, and get the loyalty and manpower of whoever accepted the offer, after all, the person would still want to continue receiving that power.
So to finish the introduction, Noah asked them both, "What if I said I can give that power to anyone?"
