"Did that... Did he really kill that giant alone?" one of the warriors asked in disbelief as he sat on the hard ground beside a large stone tree and breathed heavily.

"Apparently, yes... I was so focused on dealing with this giant that I didn't even pay attention to the battle he was having on the other side," another warrior said in an incredulous way.

Not only were these warriors surprised, but the scene in front of them was also jaw-dropping as they looked at the giant that was once made entirely of stone, now becoming a corpse of a fire giant while lying on the lifeless floor.

They took 20 minutes to deal with the fat giant, and who knew that in that time that they were so focused on the fat giant, Noah had not only received only a few minor injuries but had also killed that giant alone.

"This kid definitely has to be on the main team in the family," the captain said to himself.

Of course, Noah clearly knew that he had only managed to kill this giant on his own because he had the rest of the team to deal with the other giant. As much as he felt he could have killed all the small monsters in this Fortress alone, when it came to dealing with both Bosses at the same time, he definitely couldn't have done anything like that.

'A good team is truly essential,' Noah thought as he floated in the air and watched the rest of the team at rest.

Gradually during this Fortress Noah became addicted to the sensation of flying. Flying, for Noah, was just extremely fun and liberating, and it was also more relaxing than he expected.

Just as meditation therapy makes a person feel good about inner peace, when flying, Noah felt that he was alone in the world, where no one could tease him, just leaving him to float in the air without worries.

And during all the time that the team took to dig around through the sturdy head of the giant who was fat in search of his essence, Noah stayed in the air, just floating and breathing the strangely fresh air of this Fortress made of stone.

Unlike the view of the city that has always been polluted by gases from various things, and by many lights, and tall buildings, in the Fortress Noah could easily see the horizon while floating, giving the young man unprecedented peace.

But there was a signal that Noah was waiting to hear that made him break the peace he had for good reason; that was the system's alert to what he had earned.

[Congratulations on absorbing the body of a Rank C Boss. You received 3 Statistical Points in Strength.]

'Three points?! This is the equivalent of consuming thirty orbs of normal monster essence!' Noah was shocked by the amount of points he had received.

In Noah's mind, at most he had expected to receive 1 statistic point for consuming a Boss with his [Hell Flames], but who knew that the reward would be so great.

Since there was no more corpse, Noah's flames died out quickly, leaving only an orb of essence slightly larger than normal in the place where the corpse's head was. Noah landed and took the orb, saving it to deliver to the team captain. This orb could probably give him 3 more stats points, but Noah knew that the captain would not let him consume the orb like that, so Noah was just going to hand it over and receive the corresponding merit points.

Looking at the corpse of the fatter giant, Noah couldn't help but flash a look of greed, which was obstructed by the helmet of the armor he wore.

During the battle, the team discovered that the fat giant was using parts of itself to form other smaller stone animals. Now, the giant was even smaller and thinner than the giant that Noah fought, but around him there were at least 20 corpses of smaller animal monsters.

"Can I burn these monsters?" Noah asked the captain.

Hearing this, the captain raised an eyebrow doubtfully. "I see no reason to stop you, but why do that?"

"I like to burn things," Noah answered simply. He wasn't going to say that he received statistics when he burned monsters, so he just said the first thing that came to his mind.

Hearing this, the captain could not help but sigh. 'Geniuses always have their peculiarities. Just as that boy likes to be underwater all the time, it is not unusual to see that this boy here likes to burn things up with a Blessing like his.'

"Okay, just don't burn the essences," the captain replied. "Speaking of essence, you didn't burn the other giant's, did you?"

Noah didn't even look at the captain and threw the big orb of essence that he took from the Boss, before flying around the area and starting to set fire to the corpse of the giant who was fat, in addition to the small corpses scattered around with happiness.

As the monsters were already dead, the time to burn everything was much faster than the time it took to burn the giant alive.

[Congratulations on absorbing the body of a small Rank C Boss and 20 bodies of Rank C monsters! You have received 3 stat points in Strength.]

Looking at the status window itself, Noah was shocked at how much he had improved in this Fortress.

In a single Fortress, Noah had received 11.2 points of strength from an initial strength of 25 points, Noah's strength practically rose 50% in a single invasion.

Thinking of the other Fortresses he was going to invade, Noah was excited to see how much he could grow while invading Rank C Fortresses.

Maybe, in less than 1 month, he could have a sufficient increase to reach Rank B?
