Lucifer's Descendant System
chapter-377-30041322

"I'll finish cleaning things up and come back here, don't open the door unless you hear my voice," Noah said, tunelling his way out of the room. The entire house was still in the dark, meaning they had probably cut out the power.

'I better check the rest of the house and see how the Imps are doing,' he thought, as he dashed through the corridor, tunelling into the rooms one by one to check whether there was anyone. Most of the rooms where empty, but a couple contained the bodies of dead workers of Carlos' estate.

'... I wonder why they killed so many of—' He started thinking about the pointless deaths, until he realized one thing. The workers at the main house were extremelly loyal, and most spies were locked to work outside the main house. 'So it doubled as a way to get them inside eh...' He noticed the pattern, thanking that the young maid who had somehow bonded with Sha had been spared of this bloodshed.

Going down the stairs the scene was most similar. Dead goons slathered across the ground with grievous wounds, blood everywhere, most likelly from a fight against his imps. On his way to the kitchen, there were two more injured employees. One was a woman, who was already dead when he arrived, and the other was a man, whose neck had been cut, and was still gurgling on blood when Noah arrived.

"Good grief I got here in time," Noah told him, as his eyes met the hazy ones of the almost dead man, who seemed to want to say something, as blood gushed through his injured thorad while he moved his mouth.

"You can tell me later," Noah told him, as fire enveloped the now horrified man, who started relaxing and closed his eyes, his injuries healing up by the power of the mysterious flames.

"My daughter," he said, still engulfed in fire, his voice coarse from the stress.

"I don't know who that is," Noah said, coldly.

"My daughter, Alice, find, My daughter," the man pleaded, closing his eyes from exaustion, and falling asleep, before Noah could say anything.

"Poor thing," Noah muttered about the man, who slept from the exhaustion of truing to stay alive while gurgling blood instead of breathing air. "I'll look for the girl, since you had that kind of willpower," he told the asleep man, turning away and going towards the kitchen. So far, he had already healed two people on the verge of death, which made him feel awkward.

He turned into the kitchen, as he felt the presence of three imps, one which had the [Fire Claws] skill.

There were a handful of maids and butlers in the corner of the kitchen, in the furthest corner, afraid while being encircled by the Imps, who faced the outside. In the groud, seven or so bodies laid dead, most of the goons, but one was of a middle aged maid. "Is everyone alright? Is any of you injured?" Noah asked as he manifested himself into the kitchen among a ball of flames, the workers breathing a sigh of relief.

"Yes, we are alright. Only one girl has a cut on her arm, but nothing serious," A man, who seemed to be the highest up in the hierarchy among them told Noah, bowing slightly.

"Good. Bring her forward," Noah asked, realizing the sweat on the man's temple.

"There's no need for you to—"

"I said bring her forward, right now," he repeated himself, his voice turning stern, and making the man shiver. He, after all, was far more poerfull than the goons, and the Imps, and even the blessed hired to protect the house, which were most likely either dead or incapacitated right now.

In silence, to men carried a girl by holding her shoulders. She looked ghastly pale, blood flowing out her arm and driping over her fingers. 'That's what I guessed...' he thought, thinking the people working here did not care much for themselves in front of their bosses. "Are you feeling okay?" he asked the girl, who shook her head softly, barely able to keep herself on her feet even with two people helping her up. "It'll all feel better," he said, as a gust of fire appeared from thin ar, enveloping her arm.

"AHH!" A maid gave out a shriek in surprise, as the flames suddely surged in front of her eyes, and she held her breath, thinking he was burning her wounds shut. 'She's goona have an awlful scar from the burn though," the maid in question thought, as many others in there did.

"It feels... cozy," the hurt girl muttered, her eyes closed from the sudden burst of light into her eyes. But she felt her pain go away, as something warm enveloped her hurt arm, as she felt her energy return.

The two man holding her couldn't believe what they had heard, especially the one who was holding her injured shoulder, the flames constantly licking his clothes, though he felt no heat from them. 'What is this man,' he thought in awe, as the flames began dissipating, and the blood vanished from his vision of her arm, the deep cut from her elbow all the way to her armpid having vanished without a trace, as if it were a mirage.

"I healed you, everything should be alright. I'll go get rid of the rest of the invaders and see if I can save anyone else," Noah told them, as he turned away clicking his tongue. "By the way, has onyone seen Alice?" he asked, looking back over his shoulder, to see the crowd shaking their head. He nodded, before dashing out of the kitchen, not realizing he had just disclosed his healing to all the people there, who were now looking at each other in disbelief at his Blessing.

'Where else?' he asked himself in thought, as he tunelled through every room in the house, finding imps with dead goons. 'Something's off... Why would they send non-Blessed to a place full of blessed?' he asked himself while furrowing his brows, 'unless they didn't expect any blessed here today...' he thought to himself, thinking of who the people might be targeting.

"Noah!" A red lightning zoomed past, as Bel appeared in front of him from seemingly nowhere. "What is happening here?' he asked, looking up to Noah nervous.

"I don't know, people have invaded the house and are attacking us," Noah said, looking around.

"I know that already" Im asking why are they so weak!" Bel stated something absurd, making Noah freeze for a split second, before giving out a chuckle.

"Right... I have no idea why, but there seems to be few to no Blessed involved," Noah said, looking around to see the bodies on the ground.

"How did these weaklings get through the security in the first place?!" Bel asked, reminding Noah of the Blessed Carlos' family used to protect the entire place. "... Shit," Noah thought, realizing somethig and dashinf straight to the door to the outside, invoking another wave of imps, who stormed the house once again.

"Bel, come with me," he called the boy, leaving it to the imps to deal with the interior of the place, as he realized the ones who he saw entering the place earlier were not the only ones on the ground. "They attacked from another entrance too. The imps will deal with the inside, but we need to cut their reinforcements," Noah told the boy, almost at the same time a large explosion happened outside. "Let's go!" he yelled, the two rushing through the destroyed front door, but Noah stopping before leaving, and invoking one more Imp. This one, the single imp who had acquired his [Healing Flames], "It should be safe because of the other imps, save anyone injured you finf who works for this place, hurry," he said, the imp dashig away, as he turned around and ran through the gaping double-door.

When he stepped foot outside, was when Noah understood the magnitude of the situation. Some of the guard houses were on fire, the cars outside were partially destroyed, and two powerful blessed were having al all out fight, explosions breaking out, and what seemed to be ice fragments going around.

As they approached, it was clear who was who, and Bel turned into a flash of red lightning, clashing head on against the blessed who was the invader. His Blessing seemed to be explosion, but as Bel clashed with him, sparks flew all around shocking Bel.

"B-Rank?" he exclaimed, his eyes meeting the invader's.

"Oh, look what we found," the man said with a twisted grin, his fist flying towards Bel's face, who couldn't dodge, and was sent flying.

"Bel!" Noah yelled, making the man turn towards him, a wide grin on his mouth.

"Noah. If you are here, she proably is too, that thieve!" he said, turning towards him and hiting his fists together, sparks flying.

'This is not it... is this guy's blessing is related to metal, who's causing the explosions?' Noah thought, searching for the other invader that was responsible for the explosions.

'You're never going to find her, she's specialized in hiding, after all," the man said, lunging towards Noah, while Bel still recovered from being thrown to the ground.

Noah blocked his fist with both his daggers, sparks flying around as he was pushed back while blocking. 'Damn... I should have worn my armor,' he thought, not having expected something like this, as he flung a ball of fire towards the man in front of him.
