Marrying the Soft-hearted Villain
-
chapter-78
Ruan Qiuqiu picked up Little Yu from the ground and left the cave.
The sound of her footsteps gradually grew distant. Yuan Jue opened his eyes once he was sure she was far away.
He felt there was something especially off with his tail.
No one had ever dared to touch his tail. When he was in his demon form, his tail was a powerful weapon. The beasts that had touched his tail were all dead.
But she… she touched his tail!Redness and heat quickly spread on his cheeks. He felt there was a tingly sensation on his tail, and he felt so heated that he almost didn’t know how to face his own tail.
He felt that he was overreacting. Perhaps, his tail was injured, and that’s why he felt so strange when Ruan Qiuqiu casually stroked his tail.
Yuan Jue somewhat couldn’t bear it. He curled up and slowly reached out to touch his tail in the darkness.
His slender and well-defined fingers touched the spot on his tail where Ruan Qiuqiu had touched earlier. However, that spot wasn’t injured at all. Other than feeling that his fur was a bit coarse, he didn’t feel anything when he touched his tail.
Unwilling to accept that, Yuan Jue stroked his tail again. He didn’t even let off the tip of his tail. Still, he didn’t feel anything. It was as if that feeling of being struck by lightning when Ruan Qiuqiu touched his tail was a misperception.
But no, he clearly felt there was something wrong when Ruan Qiuqiu touched him.
—While Mr. Gray Wolf was touching his big tail again and again to try to puzzle out that feeling, Ruan Qiuqiu was carrying Mo Yu on her back to bring him home.
The child was very thin and very light. He was much lighter than Mr. Gray Wolf.
Although it was a bit strenuous to carry him, it didn’t use up too much of Ruan Qiuqiu’s energy.
Little Yu didn’t live far from Mr. Gray Wolf and her. If it wasn’t a windy and snowy day, she could walk there in half an hour. However, carrying a child on her back and on a day when the snow was falling heavily, it took a lot more time than usual.
By the time Ruan Qiuqiu carried Mo Yu to that small cave, an hour had passed.
Mo Yu wasn’t awake yet, but the fiend energy in his body had been cleared away.
Ruan Qiuqiu stood at the entrance to the small cave and lightly called out, “Bohe, it’s me, Ruan Qiuqiu. I brought your older brother back.”
There was a rustling sound, which was followed by the heavy curtain being lifted up. The cute Mo Bohe came out.
“Big sister Qiuqiu.” Mo Bohe smiled at Ruan Qiuqiu. Her sparkling dark eyes turned. “Why are you here?”
“Ah, Second Brother.” Little Bohe saw Mo Yu on her back as well as the blood on him. Her little face immediately paled. She looked at Ruan Qiuqiu in panic. In a trembling voice, she asked, “Did he… get beaten up by the wolf demons for being too mischievous?”
Ruan Qiuqiu: “…” What kind of image had Moyu set up for himself in front of his younger sister?
“Big sister Qiuqiu, come in first.” Little Bohe stood on her tiptoes and forcefully pushed the animal skin curtain to the side.
Ruan Qiuqiu hesitated for a moment. After checking that there was no fiend energy on her body, she nodded at Bohe and carried Little Yu into the cave.
Mo Yu’s home was very small. After entering, Ruan Qiuqiu smelled smoke and a rather strong scent of blood too.
Near the entrance of the cave, there was a stove made with a lot of stones. A fews steps in, and there was a small wooden table that was covered with stuff. Around a slight curve in the cave, there were two beds.
There was a small wooden bed with lighter-colored animal skin. That was probably Little Bohe’s bed. The other wooden bed was very large. It was about the same size as Mr. Gray Wolf and her bed. It was probably the bed where Bohe’s grandpa and her two older brothers slept on.
On the big bed, there was an old man, who was half sitting up, and a cat demon teenager, who was lying down.
“Big sister, put Second Brother down next to Big Brother.” Mo Bohe was obviously very worried.
Ruan Qiuqiu listened to her and put Little Yu down on the bed.
“Little Yu got hurt?” Grandpa Mo seemed more lively than before. His previously murky eyes had become bright and clear. He had a clearer speech pattern too.
