Max was happy to see the meteor be destroyed, but the more he thought about it the more he felt like something was off.

For the dark faction to suddenly open with such a move knowing full well that Cervantez would never let it hit was sort of stupid.

There had to be a deeper reason behind this move, but he just couldn't wrap his head around it.

" Grandpa Drax, why would someone pull this move? If it were Lord Agni, what would be his reason behind doing such a thing?" Max asked Drax in his mind.

" Well that would be to distract Ofcourse. Get everyone to look at the meteor while the real mission happened without garnering attention " Drax replied as his answer immediately made Max feel a chill go down his spine.

Looking over his head, Max spread his [ Way Of The Wind ] detection and talked the language of the wind to ask them what was going up there.

The answer came fast as he detected fast moving small scouts uncountable in number flying towards the light faction.

Max took immediate action.

He used the move [ Nature's Whisperer ] and conjured a thick fog to surround the fort to block the long range vision of the enemy.

The atmosphere at the Bloodfall camp changed completely in seconds, from clear skies and shining sunlight to a gloomy foggy environment, as noticing the change in the skies the cheers of the troops died down and they became on-guard.

Max took to the skies himself, although he could not block all the scouts that were infiltrating the light faction, he could stop the ones that were heading for the Bloodfall clan's airspace.

[ Gale Storm ]

Max summoned a current of heavy winds moving west to east.

The currents were cutting the path of the flying scouts, and should they go into that area they would be swept by the blistering winds.

" Stop! There are strong winds ahead " a demon who was riding a white dragon said as he commanded the scouting legion to take a break.

The demons had noticed the change in weather too, within seconds the entire area had shifted from clear skies to a thick foggy place, the enemy mage was on the move and they needed to keep their wits about themselves.

" Don't engage, the enemy mage is very powerful to summon a gale this strong, Dip down below, fly near the treeline, duck into the trees if the enemy tries to launch aerial attacks.

Go! Go! Go! Time is of the essence " the scouting leader said as he thought quickly on his feet and found a solution to the current challenge.

The scouts following his orders dipped, but what they did not know was that Max was tracking their every move even though he was kilometres away.

Having perfected the way of the wind under Kremeth, the range of his abilities had become vastly exaggerated.

He could do everything a god could except bring the destructive abilities that their moves could conjure for being fuelled with divine essence.

Sensing the scouts' dip, Max unleashed another attack.

[ Repeated Wind-Slash ]

Giant wind cutters that would be able to cut down 10 trees at once were launched with extreme precision towards the flying scouts.

The first round of attacks killing 3 of the 7 scouts and injuring the dragon of the leader.

" INCOMING "

The enemy scout shouted as he panicked seeing the skill of the enemy.

This was way above his pay grade. He was supposed to go in unnoticed and come back easy.

He was not expecting to meet such strong enemy resistance as he suspected that a series of mages were leading the counter attack.

" DIP ALL THE WAY IN, THE SKIES ARE A DEATHFIELD " the leader declared as his dragon bled a constant stream of blood from having taken an injury to its abdomen.

Max single-handedly dominated the airspace in such a way that the enemy were forced to abandon that route and dip into the forest below to save their own skin.

Thankfully for the scouts, Max's assault ended once they entered the forest.

However, unfortunately for the scouts, they just entered the area being monitored by the coward legion advance party.

There was no way in hell, they were getting anywhere close to the fort.

*******

( Meanwhile Rudra )

Rudra watched with a big smile on his face as Max figured out the enemy plan and acted fast to prevent anything bad from happening.

Rudra was impressed by the number of utility based skills that Max had gathered under his belt that were not exactly combat related.

The move Nature's Whisperer was a large area move that was not exactly an offensive attack.

It was a move that could precisely be used in such niche situations and for that reason many warriors would not pick them for their arsenal.

Max had stacked his moveset with a lot of moves that were not mainstream while most of his offensive prowess was built on his excellent foundation of elemental control.

Max had witnessed his excellent skills to manipulate water, earth and wind as he had to give Max credit for advancing so much in each path, but he knew that his biggest mastery laid in his fire mastery which had not even been unveiled yet.

With the Agni-Astra embedded in his right arm, he was an unstoppable beast that could continuously rain fire attacks without depleting his mana.

If only he gained a little more battle experience and learned to think two steps ahead of the enemy, he could easily become a warrior that was unrivalled in the universe.

Rudra could see Max's potential plain as day.

His brother had a much sturdier foundation than he did at tier5.

If he continued to mature so beautifully, there would come a day where he surpassed him….

A big smile spread on Rudra's face when this thought came across his mind.

It was a good feeling to know that the only one that would surpass a Rajput was a Rajput.
