12 days...

As Max boarded the ship to make his way back to the controlled universe, he noticed the time on the dashboard and it seemed as if only a 12 days had elapsed in the real world since his absence in the realm of chaos.

What seemed like an eternity for him inside the chaotic realm was only a couple of weeks in the rest of the universe.

In a way it was funny as when Max thought about it, if he hurried back he could actually report for duty on day15 after his 14 day leave of absence expired.

' You have done well this time, Max, now I can see you as a worthy wielder of the Agni-Astra.

When I first met you, I wasn't sure you would ever become a god, but now that I personally witness your journey I'm proud to say that you are one of the finest tier6 god's I've ever met ' Drax said in Max's mind as he gave Max a rare well deserved compliment.

Max was a god now! An actual god! A powerhouse that the rest of the universe looked upto, a being with such strong vitality that he could live for millennia's and potentially be around till his great-great-great-..... Great grandchildren were born.

If Asiva became a god too, the two of them could potentially make a whole clan of offspring on their own and if they really tried hard Max could become another Genghis Khan and have an entire planet full of direct descendants.

Naturally, Max had not lost his mind completely and knew better than to have so many children.

As the old ships mechanics whirred, it sped back towards the teleportation gates that would take Max back home, however, before that happened, Max decided to pause the emergency pause button on the ship as there was something that he wanted to checkout first.

Opening the shuttle, Max stepped out into the naked space with no protection at all and stared into the vast emptiness of nothing while embracing its cold, pressure-less surroundings.

" Yes! I'm a god now " Max exclaimed as he did not die under the hostile conditions of space, but was able to withstand the cold and the vacuum environment while being able to maintain motion.

Being able to travel through space was one of the signature traits limited to only god's.

Before today, Max had to rely on Angakok and his space bubble for travelling through space, but now he could do that on his own and it felt almost as good as learning how to fly.

He was no longer bound by the confines of any planet!

If he wanted to, he could traverse to any corner of the universe on his own now and not need any additional ship or equipment.

" The primal god! " Max exclaimed excitedly as he took a moment to enjoy all that he had achieved…..

He was truly a bigshot now.

As he sat back inside the ship, Max began to wait in anticipation for the moment when his ship would enter the controlled universe again and the system notifications would be available again, as he badly wanted to see what his new panel looked like.

Little did he know, however, that he was heading straight into an ambush where his longtime mentor/ substitute fighter in critical fights, the great shaman god, Angakok himself, was preparing to forcibly take over his body.

********

( Meanwhile Kremeth )

Kremeth was probably one of the most selfish fighters in his hayday.

Back when the chaos war era was at its peak, he was the ultimate dastardly coward who would join the fighting from whatever side the fighting was the easiest and the gains were the largest.

He was the kind of petty fighter that had given the unnamed god the biggest defeat of his career and was someone who had made his nesting within the special dungeon, dragon's paradise only because it was a spot in the universe where external contact happened only once in four years.

Enough for Kremeth to amuse himself once in a while, but not annoying to the point where he had constant company.

He would have most likely died a lonely coward too had he not met the three kids- Max, Sebastian and Mira.

The two and a half years he spent with these kids turned his life upside down, as the once lonely god couldn't stand being lonely anymore.

The joy of passing on his knowledge, the joy of nurturing the young and the joy of seeing them succeed in life was very rewarding for Kremeth and he has hopelessly developed protective feelings for all three of his disciples.

The day he had sent Max on his way to the test, he had observed Angakok lurking in the distance, observing Max's path.

Kremeth did not say anything at that moment, but he had understood that Angakok was planning to make a move and hence he began to reverse stalk Angakok while maintaining his stealth.

His suspicions were proved right as a few days later Angakok and Khnum laid in wait at the very edge of the controlled universe as they seemed to wait for Max to return from his tier promotion test.

" You sly old bastards, nothing will happen to my disciple as long as this coward is around " Kremeth said as he began to plan his cowardly counterattack to foil the plans of the evil duo.

If things went well, he would absolutely not let his disciple fall into the clutches of whatever Angakok had planned for him.

**********

( Meanwhile Angakok )

Angakok saw Max's ship approach from a far away distance and was instantly alerted as he hid behind the asteroid he was observing the cosmos beyond from.

" Here he comes sea god, be prepared " Angakok said as Khnum joined him in hiding as the two of them eagerly waited for Max to walk into their ambush.

Currently, Khnum wished to betray Angakok, Angakok wished to betray Max and then kill Khnum and Kremeth who was watching from beyond wanted to foil the plans of both.

Angakok nad Khnum were unaware of the lurking Kremeth while Max was unaware of the whole setup.

What was to unfold now was only ever going to be a mess of epic proportions.
