( Meanwhile Max )

At minute 90, Max was spent to his limit.

His opponents had begun bombarding him with darkness type attacks and his divine essence reserves could no longer support the cost of keeping his domain active.

He had managed to hold off his enemies for a monstrous 90 minutes without losing even 5% of his HP and killing dozens of them, yet this was his limit and he needed to forcibly scale back now.

" Half an hour more… " Max murmured to himself as he deactivated the domain and instead switched to his defensive avatar the [ Golden Buddha ]

The second he retracted his domain, multiple tier6 god's who were trapped since long within his oppressive skill, suddenly regained their ability to properly manoeuvre and launch attacks as they immediately bombarded Max with an endless barrage of attacks.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*WHIPLASH*

*KAZAM*

*BZZZ*

*KABOOM*

Max was blasted by several attacks of various natures and despite his heightened defences his HP dropped rapidly down to 60%.

[ World Ember ]

Instead of backing down, Max decided to counter with an attack of his own and decided to go with world ember.

The ground below the feet of the god's just at the entrance of the valley suddenly began to glow red as if it were red-hot-iron as the god's panicked and tried to fly out of the range of the attack.

Unfortunately for them, within the narrow valley the only space they had to run was up, and they could never possibly fly high enough to avoid the range of Max's attack.

*BAROOM*

An inferno of hot magma and primal fire erupted towards the sky, and engulfed at least a dozen god's within its range, critically injuring 4, while outright claiming the life of 8 others.

As the scorched bodies of the dead and surviving began to fall from the sky, Max decided to finish the remaining ones off by using

[ Blazing Onslaught ] as he shot self-homing fireballs towards the remaining god's who were more or less powerless to evade them.

A big change for Max going from tier5 to tier6 was that he no longer felt drained when using the Agni-Astra's divine attacks.

His body was not sturdy enough to withstand the backlash of the moves and he could use both his divine skills back to back and still feel fine enough to move around and only slightly fatigued.

As the never stopping fireballs gave the four surviving demons extremely painful deaths, only 7 of the initial 50 god's that had come to pick on Max remained as they eyed Max as if he were a beast.

No longer did they have the courage to casually approach Max as although both of them were in the same tier, Max was a beast who could maintain a tier6 domain for 90 minutes and still casually pull out two powerful tier6 attacks back to back after just deactivating the domain.

Most of them maxed out at trying to conjure one divine attack and it still took several seconds for them to gather enough divine essence to use them.

Max on the other hand could almost insta-cast his attacks, which went to show just how great of a mastery he had over them.

Hence, although Max stood panting and without a domain, not a single demon god dared to approach him, as the battle reached a stalemate where both parties were reluctant to act.

(Meanwhile, the clone)

The 2-hour limit of constant regeneration and unstoppable assault was quickly approaching, giving the clone only a few minutes to defeat the six remaining gods against him.

Unfortunately for him, however, Angakok, who had been lingering in the airspace at the very top of the dimensional battlefield, managed to pinpoint Max's location on the battlefield as a result of the 'World Ember' spell, which was visible to him from miles out.

With Max located, Angakok immediately zoomed in towards the battlefield where the clone was fighting, as he had already made a plan of action on what he wanted to do once he located Max, and the first step in his plan happened to be the task of killing the clone.

"Someone's here," the clone murmured as using his way of the wind senses he had determined an incoming threat to which he turned to intercept just a second before Angakok arrived upon him.

As he brandished his sword and tried to intercept the rapidly incoming Angakok, time suddenly seemed to have frozen as although his consciousness was aware of its surroundings and he could see the passage of time as usual, his body felt unbelievably heavy and he was unable to move more than a few inches as if he was moving in slow motion.

Not only him, he could also see that the demon gods around him were moving in slow motion as well as they tried to capitalise on the opening he had shown them in his stance, yet the clone also realised that he was in no position to care about the demons as a much more terrifying opponent was now upon him.

The clone saw it clearly as Angakok casually landed in front of him and circled to his back.

Still under a weird spell, the clone could not move his body more than a few inches a second, as he understood at that moment that he was completely fucked.

*PAH*

Then there was a sharp pain as Angakok hit his back with such force that his spine snapped in half.

The flow of time then returned to normal, as the clone fell to his knees and spat a mouthful of blood, losing nearly 40% of his HP as a result of the attack.

As he was under the effect of constant regeneration, his body began healing almost as fast as he was injured; however, by the time his spine was mended and he could stand straight back up, five of the six remaining demon gods were killed by Angakok, with him having the sixth one under his oppressive foot.

"Angakok..." the clone murmured in a complicated voice as Angakok pointed his index finger towards him and said "[Light Blast]"

A barrage of light-based beam attacks created countless holes in the clone's body as he looked like a tattered mess before the healing effect kicked in and mended all that damage.

Gritting his teeth, the clone prepared for a showdown against Angakok; however, as he tried to move, he once again felt like his body to be incapable of movement as he got trapped within the weird time spell.

"If you want to live, then give up on this battle and just communicate to the rest of the world what I'm about to show you-" Angakok said as he forced the demon god under his feet to oblige his command.

The demon god, having no other option, nodded fervently as Angakok lifted his feet off its neck and casually strolled towards the clone and slit his head off his shoulder clean using a blood blade.

"REGENERATE THAT," Angakok shouted with pure disgust as the clone's shocked face rolled onto the floor.

Recalling how this was the same skill that Max had used within his soul-space to suppress Angakok, the shaman god angrily stomped on the clone's now-decapitated head as it slowly began to disintegrate as the effect of the perfect cloning skill ended.

Angakok, who was extremely pissed, now turned his attention to the valley below him where Max was currently fighting, as killing the clone was just the first step in his revenge plan, and exposing Max's real identity was the next.
