With Jekyll nowhere to be found in Anadhar City, Valyr had no reason to stay within the city any longer.

"[Flash of the Azure Dragon]."

"[Flight of the Azure Dragon]."

Whoosh!

Hearing that the man he was looking for was currently at the north defensive line, the young man did not hesitate to use his best movement skill in the hopes of meeting him within the day.

Boom!

Feeling the sound barrier break as he whizzed through the air, Valyr swiftly conjured a barrier of energy around him as he brought up a screen in front of him.

"Although I already know where the north defensive line is located thanks to my experience as a player, it wouldn't hurt to double check with the others."

Sending out a few messages to a group of people, Valyr more or less sent them the same message, which was him asking for more information on where the north defensive line was specifically.

Thankfully, the group of people he sent the message to were quick in their responses, with Julian, Noel, and Alvin being the first among the group to give him coordinates to the north defensive line's military base.

Though their responses were more than enough for Valyr to find his way through the system map, the other people he contacted took it one step further, with Hal and Vera asking him where he was coming from in response to his message.

After telling them that he was heading to the north defensive line from Anadhar City, the two quickly gave him a route that would cut down his travel time by half. Then again, that was due to the route using the Teleportation Halls the branches of the Blacksmith Guild had.

Unfortunately, even the route Hal and Vera gave him paled in comparison to the route Braum had compiled for him, his response fully reminding Valyr that he was the leader of the Imperial Production Guild's 3rd Reconnaissance Team.

Not only did Braum's route to the north defensive line make use of the Teleportation Halls to the fullest, but he also showed Valyr the quickest path from the hall he'd appear in to the military base itself.

Aside from that, Braum also gave him alternate routes in the off chance the first route was unusable along the way, promising Valyr that the other routes was only a bit slower than the first route he gave.

Of course, it went without saying that the young man became curious as to how much more time the other routes would take in comparison to the first one the man gave him.

Though, after hearing that he'd only take 15 more minutes to arrive at the north defensive line in the worst case scenario, Valyr could only let out a wry chuckle.

"Well, I guess I should expect that much from a renowned information broker."

As he thanked the others for their help, the young man followed Braum's route to the letter whilst he was in the midst of apologizing for disturbing the others all of a sudden.

However, just as he was about to thank Braum for his timely help, a different thought popped up in the young man's mind.

And thus, rather than end their conversation then and there, Valyr instead continued his chat with Braum by following up with another question.

"Say, Braum. Could you find the current whereabouts of a certain man for me?"

"…His name is Jekyll Endheid."

Swoosh!

As the sight of the north defensive line's military base gradually came to view, Valyr felt a large wave of relief wash over him the moment he took a brief glance up at the sky.

"Only had to change my route once to get here." Getting confirmation that there was still plenty of time before the sun had to set, the young man decided to push his movement skill one last time.

Boom!

Having already gotten used to breaking the sound barrier after breaking it so often throughout the journey, it only took another minute or so for the military base to come into view, prompting him to dispel the skill just when he was a few hundred meters away.

Thud.

After landing safely on the ground by conjuring a gust of wind at the very last moment, Valyr began to make his way to the military base in front of him, immediately taking note of the crowd that was gathering around the entrance.

"I heard an explosion earlier. Are we under attack?"

"No, someone was going over the speed of sound."

"Wait, seriously? Is that even possible?"

"I haven't done it myself, but I've seen a couple of the higher ranks do it without a problem."

"Well, that guy coming here doesn't look like he's capable of doing that. From what I could sense, his strength is nowhere near enough to pull that off."

"…Hmm? Why is everyone glaring at me all of a sudden?"

"Look again, dipshit. Are you sure that guy can't break the sound barrier?"

"Huh? Why are you guys telling me to… oh, fuck me sideways."

Not wanting to make things difficult for himself as he made his way to the military base, Valyr did not change his appearance to the other identity he began to use. Instead, he continued using the identity he changed into back at Anadhar City.

Because of that, he was more or less able to cut down the time he arrived at the north defensive line even further, his identity removing the need for unnecessary verification and background checks.

After all, why would they stop someone who clearly had the power to kill a Myth?

'I've really got to thank Scho'doxa once we meet again.' Seeing that a large crowd was forming around the entrance thanks to his appearance, Valyr briefly had a bitter smile on his face as he entered the base.

Heading to the registration area after that, the young man soon made his way to the center of the base after his identity was confirmed, immediately noticing that the military base was around three-fourths as large as the military base back in the east defensive line.

'Then again, most of the orcs were coming from the north and the east,' thought Valyr to himself, faintly wondering how long he'd have to tolerate the crowd that began to surround him.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Thankfully, he did not have to tolerate the crowd for too long.

"If it isn't the Warlord of the East." Only a few minutes after arriving at the center of the north military base, a pair of individuals appear in front of the young man, causing most, if not all of the crowd in the area to disperse the moment they appeared.

"Hal. Vera." Of course, Valyr gave both of them looks of gratitude because of that, inwardly letting out a sigh of relief at being able to avoid useless interaction with other people. "Am I glad to see you two here."

"As if we aren't glad to see you here, either." Hal let out a chuckle in response. "Anyways, what brings you here to the north defensive line? Is it to see us?"

"Partly." Valyr wryly smiled, giving the two a brief explanation of his reasons for coming to the north defensive line after that. "I'm actually looking for someone."

"Jekyll Endheid?" Hearing the name that came out of Valyr's mouth, Hal immediately raised his eyebrow in curiosity. "You're looking for the Northern Star? Why? Did he do something wrong?"

"It's a long story," replied Valyr, continuing to don the wry smile he already had. "But to sum things up, I've inherited one of his skills due to circumstances."

"I suppose I don't need to tell you more other than that, no?"

At those words, both Hal and Vera shook their heads, more or less having their own idea of what Valyr was hinting at.

"Well, as far as I've heard, the Northern Star is currently out in the frontlines," said Hal to Valyr after some time, pondering over the young man's words for a bit. "Depending on the mission he took up, you might be stuck waiting here until tonight."

"Is that so?" Unsurprisingly, the man's words quickly dampened Valyr's hopes of achieving his goals within the same day.

Though, as he took a glance at the path leading to the frontlines, the sight of the man he was looking for surprisingly came into view.

"Fortunately for me, it seems I've arrived at just the right time."

Letting out a chuckle as those words left his mouth, Valyr separated himself from the pair, causing the two to look at him with confusion on their faces.

However, when they eventually realized what was going on, the two looked at each other for a bit before looking back at the young man.

"What a lucky guy."

"You must be Jekyll, I presume?" Appearing in front of the man he was looking for all of a sudden, Valyr decided to assume his identity as Ylvar to the fullest, acting as if the man in front of him was a complete stranger.

"…That would be me." In response, Jekyll looked at him with a frown on his face, feeling slight confusion towards the situation. "You're the one who asked for my whereabouts at the gambling den, no?"

"Yes." Valyr nodded, noticing a small crowd forming around the two of them. "I hope I don't need to explain myself any further."

"Unfortunately, I think you'll have to do just that," replied the man, now radiating a hint of killing intent as he looked at Valyr in front of him. "Ylvar… what is your relation to the one who inherited my legacy?"

"My relation?" Looking at Jekyll in front of him, a faint smile began to creep up on Valyr's lips as he thought about how he'd go about revealing his true identity.

Though, just before he could do that…

"Ylvar, a Lesser Elder hailing from the Algerie Kingdom branch of the Blacksmith Guild."

"We, the Zeihardt clan, have come to arrest you under the suspicion of working with the traitor, Valyr Zeihardt!"
