Arriving at the rooftop where Hal and Vera were watching him fight from afar, Valyr had a faint grin on his face as the two looked at him with surprised expressions.

Moving closer to the young man, Hal took in a deep breath before asking the former a question. "Did you really obtain that much power from that inheritance you entered?"

Whoosh!

In response, Valyr conjured the Azure Sign once more as he extended one of his hands outward, reminding both Hal and Vera of the imposing energy that fought against the feral humans earlier.

"It took a while to get to this point," replied the young man, nodding not long after. "But I do have admit that it was all thanks to the inheritance I could get this far."

Dispelling the Azure Sign, he then willed both his Shadow Energy and mana to appear on his extended hand.

Imposing his will for the two to intertwine, he then infused both the Intent Seed of Shadow Energy and the Four Elements, causing the power it contained to approach near what the Azure Sign exuded.

"For a long time, it was like this," Valyr told the two, taking note of the engrossed expressions on their faces.

After that, he removed the energy of the Intent Seeds from the braided energy, only to then separate them not long after.

With both Shadow Energy and mana now separated, Valyr felt that the power both energies currently contained was greater than what it contained before he spent over two years with Sellifer on the barren grounds.

Nevertheless, even in their strengthened form, it allowed Hal and Vera to obtain a clear idea of how much the inheritance had helped Valyr out, especially when it came to the power his energy controlled.

Dispelling both Shadow Energy and mana, he then conjured the Azure Sign once more, prompting the expressions on their faces to change into that of determination.

"Alright, I've made up my mind." After silence covered the trio for a while after Valyr's energy showcase was over, Hal let out a long exhale as he looked at the young man.

In response, Valyr raised his eyebrow in slight curiosity before shifting his gaze towards Vera, noticing that her expression more or less told the same thing Hal said just now.

"Best of luck, then." Already understanding that the two had set their sights on obtaining an inheritance from the Hall of Legends and Myths, Valyr smiled at the two, thinking back to the additional rewards Vaughn had attached to their respective quests.

'I have no clue whether someone else should've entered the Gates of Transcendence in the first place, but I hope this won't stop them from becoming the Four Deities of Production in this timeline,' thought Valyr to himself, being reminded of the multiple changes his actions had already brought to the current timeline.

Nevertheless, that did not mean that he would stop pursuing the path he'd already taken, especially with the final threat still looming.

Bidding the two farewell as they headed off to fight against the feral humans themselves, Valyr let out a wide sigh of relief the very moment he was certain the two were far from him.

"Thank the heavens it all worked out in the end," said the young man to himself, feeling as if a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.

Of course, this all stemmed from the conversation the three had regarding his disappearance.

If not for the fact that he had seen the quest Vaughn had given the two, Valyr was certain that he would kept a lot more things a secret from the two even after they left the Four Pillars' Inheritance.

Fortunately, now that he was somewhat able to come clean in front of the two regarding his recent gains, the young man felt less guilty hiding the other pieces of information he still planned on keeping a secret from the others.

'They don't hold much importance in the grand scheme of things anyway,' thought the young man to himself. 'Though, I'm quite sure Mystia would be more than interested to hear me out considering her background.'

'Speaking of Mystia…'

Whoosh!

Being reminded of Vera's mentor that gave him information and items during that one auction, the young man released a strand of white energy covered in various arrays of light, taking note of how ethereal it felt.

Recalling the things Vera had told him at the beginning of their journey into the Four Pillars' Inheritance, Valyr began to move the strand of Mystic Energy around him, familiarizing himself with the sensation it gave him.

"Mystic Energy…" the young man muttered to himself at some point. "I should pay a visit to the Mystic Plane at some point."

"But of course, I'll have to pay a visit to Mystia before that… whenever that time may be."

Dispelling the Mystic Energy he had just conjured, Valyr soon shifted his thoughts towards the gains he had obtained from fighting against the feral humans.

Opening up his notification screen, it went without saying that he had gained a lot of XP from fighting against the feral humans.

'I feel like I have over 4 billion XP I could use at this point,' inwardly muttered the young man after doing a bit of calculation, faintly shuddering at the amount he had access to.

Wondering how far 4 billion XP would take him in terms of skills and levels for a brief moment, the young man eventually found the notifications he was looking for.

Ding!

[You have completed the quest: Gates of Awakening' Trial (4).]

[You have completed the quest: Gates of Awakening' Trial (4).]

[Your authority level within the Gates of Awakening has been increased by one. Your current authority level is now Level 11.]

'Huh.' Seeing that his authority within the Gates of Awakening was now Level 11, Valyr briefly thought about how much time he took to fight against the feral humans earlier.

"Scary." Realizing that it only took him around half an hour or so to kill less than a hundred feral humans with his newfound powers, the young man looked at his hands for a bit, shaking his head a bit as he thought about the power they contained.

Seeing that there were no other notifications of note on his screen, Valyr soon closed the screen brought up before deciding to look through the influx of information Sellifer had given him before he left.

'I'm sure it'll be information I'll make great use of.'

Beginning his introspection, Valyr closed his eyes and eventually arrived at the depths of his mind, finding out that the information Sellifer had given him was split into two packets.

Surprisingly, the first one detailed the memories he had seen with her in greater detail, even going so far as to continue where the memory left off. It also contained the path of the Azure Serpent that he had inherited, specifically the stages that came after the Azure Sign.

Though, what really surprised Valyr was the second packet of information he had obtained from Sellifer.

Because unlike the first one that contained information Valyr could only make use of later on, this one contained information he could benefit greatly from if he were to use it right now.

After all, from what he could infer...

The second packet contained the essence of Sellifer's Force.
