MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith
-
chapter-909
Unexpectedly, it only took half an hour on the Blacksmith Guild's end for everything to be sorted out.
Obtaining a message from one of the staff members that a workshop had been opened for Valyr, Julian briefly stopped what he was doing before looking at the young man that had been loitering in his place all this time.
"Just received a message that one of the workshops is available for you to use," said the man as he decided to chuck in a few materials into his furnace. "It's a workshop around the start of the east wing. One of the staff members would be there waiting for you."
"Got it." Nodding in response, Valyr stood up from where he was watching as he prepared himself to head to that place.
"Oh, wait. Before you go." Though, just as he was about to leave the man to his own devices, Julian hurriedly stopped him.Raising his eyebrow in curiosity as he looked at him, Valyr watched as the man brought up a screen before tapping a few buttons on it for a bit.
Ding!
Hearing the ever-familiar chime resound in his mind, Valyr had an idea of what Julian was doing, bringing up both his notification screen and its corresponding description before him.

Reading through the description of the quest he'd gotten, Valyr furrowed his brows for a bit before looking back at Julian. "If my math isn't wrong, you want me to forge 60 weapons in 10 days?"
"6 weapons a day for 10 days straight," said Julian as he nodded in response. "A bit difficult, but it's possible, no?"
"Of course, if you think it's too difficult for you, I could modify the quest to something a bit more lenient."
At those words, Valyr faintly shook his head. "This is fine. It's just been a while since I forged a lot of equipment in a row, is all."
'Especially with how all of my forging skills have been transformed and reverted to their base levels thanks to obtaining The First Blacksmith class,' thought the young man to himself as he inwardly adorned a wry smile.
Nevertheless, as long as he was able to get a feel for how his new skills worked, he was certain that it wouldn't be long till he got back to the groove of things, recalling the feat he'd achieved in the inheritance while fighting against Arcaelus.
'Checking out my new forging skills is the reason why I brought up the idea of helping out on the quota, after all.'
Listening to Valyr's words, Julian merely nodded in response before returning back to his forge. "Feel free to request any material you want. The Blacksmith Guild will shoulder the expenses for any materials used to make weapons for the quota."
"Of course, you'll still have to fork out your own money if you want to start doing some of your own tinkering," said the man soon after with a chuckle as he picked up his forging hammer. "No funny business, you hear me?"
"Do I look like that kind of person to you?" Valyr laughed in response.
Talking about how they'd keep each other up to date on some things through the chat function, Valyr soon left Julian on his own in his workshop, making his workshop that had been freed up for him.
Thankfully, it did not take long for him to find the specific workshop Julian had told him, with one of the staff members madly waving their hands back and forth to catch his attention.
Faintly smiling at the staff member's actions, Valyr made his way to them before nodding in greeting.
"Ylvar, right?" asked the staff member, looking at the young man with a faint twinkle in her eyes.
Nodding back in response, the staff member soon led him into the workshop, briefly talking about the various machineries and tools that could be found within.
After going over the general rules and the additional information Julian wanted Valyr to know once he was at the workshop, the staff member eventually left Valyr to his own devices, prompting him to order a set of materials for the weapons the very instant he could.
"That should be enough." Double checking the list of materials he'd requested from the guild, Valyr soon went to the main part of the workshop, firing up the furnace as he familiarized himself with the tools that he'd be using for the next few days.
"I suppose I should take a look at my forging skills while I'm waiting for the materials to arrive." Bringing out the Hammer of Beginnings from his spatial bracelet, Valyr brought up his skill list, commanding the system to only list down the skills he had related to forging.
"Huh." Unsurprisingly, all of his forging-related skills had taken on the name of his current class, similar to how all of his forging skills back then had the words 'True Prodigious' in it.
Though, due to him changing class, all of his forging skills were reverted back to Common grade, starting off at Level 1 once more.
"But for some reason, the effects of the skills are similar to what they were before the class change," muttered Valyr to himself as he went through them, briefly wondering if it had something to do with the fact that his main class was now Ancient grade.
Looking through his skills a bit more, Valyr noticed that one of his forging skills had been removed.
Specifically, the skill that was removed was [True Prodigious Equipment Resonance], which had no counterpart for The First Blacksmith class.
"Well, it's not like I was making full use of the passive anyway," thought Valyr to himself out loud at that realization.
Fortunately, while the skill was removed, it was replaced with a skill that seemed to have an interesting effect.
"System, identify [Ephemeral Tools of the First Blacksmith]"

[Ephemeral Tools of the First Blacksmith] (Lv. 1/10)
Rarity: Common+
Having created the path of blacksmithing for many others to follow, it could be said that the First Blacksmith has gone through great experimentation to consolidate the path that others tread.
Through these experimentations, it has figured out a myriad of ways to go through the forging process, all of them arriving at the same conclusion.
However, if there's one thing that remains consistent, it would be the tools the First Blacksmith uses, the lifeblood that allows a blacksmith to do what they do best.
Because of that, the First Blacksmith has devised a skill to make sure the same tools could be used throughout the forging process, giving one the ability to forge even in situations where one could not bring their tools along with them.
This skill allows the user to conjure forging tools out of pure energy. Depending on the energy the user uses, the forging tools conjured would have varying properties that might bring out unique effects during the process.
This skill also allows the user to conjure forging tools based on tools that have been forged by the user in the past. As these items are made out of pure energy, their properties are considerably inferior than the original version.
The user can choose to infuse more energy into these conjured tools, allowing their original properties to be enhanced even further.
The tools conjured through the skill can only be used by the user or any of the user's summons, tamed beings, or similar items.
Cost to conjure: 1,000 MP (tool has 25% of the properties of an average Uncommon+ grade tool)
Cost to mimic: 5,000 MP (tool receives 25% of the properties of the original tool)
Cost to enhance properties: 2,500 MP per additional percent
Maintenance cost: 10 MP per minute, 5 additional MP per minute per additional percent
Maximum number of conjured tools: 1

"I'll have to experiment with this while forging." By the time he was done reading through the skill's description, Valyr thoroughly understood what the skill was capable of, making him eager to use it in a practical situation.
Thankfully, just as he was finished reading, one of the guild's staff members had delivered all of the materials he'd requested just earlier.
"Well then." Looking at the large pile of materials he would be working with, a grin soon adorned Valyr's face.
"Let's get started."
